Had mine for a couple of months now. Awesome mower. And you can change the blades over to the other holes which gives you double usage on each blade as the cutting edges are the outer most third of the blade, and if you flip them as well you can get 4 times the usage from each blade pack.
Had mine all summer. Worked awesome. Just some minor issues as to be expected with anything mechanical. One of the best things I have ever bought. If you don’t like wasting time mowing get this!
This was very good, Justin. Very helpful I'm still deciding on which robot mower to buy, this one looks like a good one. I need to download the features list va model number, because i want to be able to alter the cut height to 4" after we get clover to replace our grass. We have a small yard now, but we'd like to move somewhere to a slightly cooler climate in 4 years when my wife retires. The big problem with our yard now is leaves, small acorns, and twigs. Other videos I've seen indicate this wont be a problem. Thanks for showing the maintenance tips! I believe you can flip the blades over, also attach them using the other holes, thus giving you 4x the normal life.
Hi Justin, i got my Luba2 Wednesday this week and are figuring out how to gettin it set up for my lawn. But when i saw you replace your blades and saw that the blades have two holes so my thaught on that was, you should be able to use them in four ways, flip them one time and then turn them around by using the second hole and then flipping it again.
Congrats on your purchase! That would probably work, I am about to change them again. I was thinking at least twice would be good, but I haven't tested it. Honestly, these new blades last better than the ones I had on the original Luba.
Let me explain how RTK works, very simply. GPS (or any GNSS system) doesn't have enough accuracy to guide a robotic mower. (That's due to variabilities in the atmosphere to such a small RF signal, essentially.) There IS a GNSS receiver on the mower, but what makes it have centimeter precision is that RTK transceiver. The RTK receives an error signal, and then transmits it to the mower. THAT'S basically how it works! (I simplified it, but that's the gist.) I've been evaluating robotic mowers for some time, but i believe having LIDAR in some form is also necessary to achieve real "smarts" for a robot, especially a mower In my case, though, we have leaves, some small acorns, and twigs in our yard that would hinder most robot mowers. So I'm interested in seeing how well this one handles those things! Other videos I've seen seem to indicate that it's not a problem. I hope your video will address that topic.
Steller video! I'm sold. It costs me almost a grand a month to have my 3.5 acre lawn mowed weekly. Is there a away to extend the size of the lawn this will mow by adding RTKs or will I have to buy a 2nd machine? I'm also wondering how often the batteries will need to be replaced and how much they cost.
My RTK is solid blue with issue positioning although it is reading 29 satellites and Mammotion cannot even rectify this problem after 2 weeks, and does not warranty their product and says it is 2 years - BS. This firm should be investigated for non-compliance of their claims and I even believe Amazon has dumped them. We were FOOLS to believe in their hype and it is sad that so many on You Tube still promulgate this firm which in IMHO is selling crap with no service or integrity.
Excellent video! 1st video I have seen on a robot mower in a realistic yard like mine. I too have a culvert and slight hills and such. Had me sold until I researched and saw where u can’t replace the battery. Is this true?
The blades are designed to be used in 4 positions so you can get 4 times the life of each blade. The blades can be flipped and the other hole used to achieve this.
hi, new luba 2 owner here. could you elaborate a bit on mowing VS rain ? you seem to discourage this, but is this because this requires cleaning frequently? asking this, because its so rainy this year where i leave that Im forced to mow when grass is wet (at best)... was wondering if i could send the Luba under or after rain...
I just never mow in the rain. It even causes my commercial mower to get clogged up. In some cases you have to and it will be ok but I try to stay clear of mowing wet grass.
Hi, I own a Luba 5000 and the blades are stuck in the sense that they no longer raise and lower in height. Has this ever happened to you? Also, my robot makes a lot of noise. Any advice? Thanks
These mowers can teach the selfparking EV to selfplug-in to the home or the grid. V2G EV or BVs, battery vehicles, will just need a $60 wall outlet to trade electricity or top up. Every building carpark space with a $60 electricity wall outlet. 😊😊😊😊😊
WHOA WHOA WHOA!... The documentation says it's IPX6 rated but it actually is NOT. It's not even IPX5 rated! When you look under the mower it has a sign that has a cross through the waterjet symbol i.e they say not to use a waterjet to clean this unit. This is a complete contradiction. An IPX6 rating is not only 'waterjet' proof it is 'high powered' waterjet proof. IPX5 is also waterjet proof but not 'high powered' waterjet proof. IPX6: Jets of water: Protection against a strong jet of water. Higher volumes of water (100 liters per minute at 15 psi, three meters away) for at least three minutes.
I sprayed it with 85psi water jets from every angle. I did that many, many times, for a good amount of time each time I washed it. I definitely did not use put my high-pressure 3100psi power washer, though.
I like my Luba 1 a lot and true the Lubas are the best mowesr on the market IMO but this video just seems like a sponsored ad. I don't remember hearing a single con - and there are many. High price, buggy app, poor after-sale support, no mention that there are only software differences between the 3k-10k, fake IP-6 rating, etc .... Would much rather have a realistic video.
Fake IPX6 rating? I heard that on the first Luba, but I tested the hell out of this one. Not one problem with that. LUBA 1 had its issues with connectivity, but I actually enjoyed the APP and connectivity to Luba 2. If I were doing a new review on the Luba 1, I would agree with most of your observations, but the Luba 2 is massively improved over the Luba 1 - and it was the best robot mower on the market at that time. Mammotion listened to feedback and made adjustments.
Yes you at CES, but you failed to call them for any service. What BS they are not revolutionary but Mammotion doesn't even have telephone support # to call them, but a lot of creative marketing to sell their junk via venues like CES. Wait till this inferior product cannot recognize the varying LEO orbits with its inferior AI differential equations to recognize new elliptic patterns. Hey!!!!: please try to get service from their over congested chat line with 4 hours wait time of a host of customers wanting to get warranty or RMA. This robotic mower is sheer junk after a few months use as it has no positioning capabilities to deal with the constantly changing orbits it relies on to function. It becomes a boat anchor after a few months.
@@buster7618 Yees mowed about 8x after hours of mapping it worked ok. The problem is Luba 2 needs constant firmware updates to deal with changing sat poistions in the LEO orbit and purports to have 3 modes for comm. Wi-Fi, Lora, and mobile. The issue is that the AI in the luba is weak and not capable of seamless comm between the RTK and charging station. Luba has virtually no tech support/warranty, and dismisses you when they have your money. IMHO they will not be around long and besides when the batteries go you need to replace the whole unit.. What a scam.

Awesome awesome video Justin!! I’m very impressed and will watch this again lol can’t capture all the features with one watch, that’s a lot! WOW 🤩

Have you tried out the Yarbo? Comparison to the 10000? I'm currently deciding which to purchase for our aceeage.
I would love to test out the Yarbo.

Thanks, brother! I have seen some of your videos also! Good job! 👍🏻
I’m really considering this mower but really worried about all the tree coverage on my lawn… what do you think?
As long as you have a clear line of sight to the sky from your RTK location, you should be fine.
@@JustinsProject does the vision module compensate in a pinch?
@Tstarke97 The camera is stationary and has a lower resolution.

No I have not had that issue. If you are still under warranty, reach out to Mammotion asap to see if they can help.
Great video

nice video. Are you sponsored by mammotion? you've not written it anywhere, but your video just feels like an ad at times
Thanks! It should be showing in the corner of the video somewhere
What discount code? All I see are affiliate links.
It was a limited time offer, sorry about that. If there are any new ones that come available, I will add them again.

It was implemented with Alexa. I thought it was with Google also. My bad, sorry for that.
