My sister gifted my this game in Christmas 2022, I was reluctant to play it, for some reasons mostly my gaming tastes. Played it 9 days ago, 65 hours in since that day. I love it so much now, it's haunting my nights can't stop thinking about it.

I’m haunted by games too when I play them a lot but soon after they will burn out for me, as they are not limitless entertainment, they are only games..(just my opinion ofc)

Truly peak functionality we all cared about.
This is one of the best games I've played in years. The combat, mechanics like sun damage and the visuals are all amazing, real pioneering in gaming when all other games suck right now. It's like Baldur's Gate 3 but fast action and PvP
This year is definitely a small studio's best year , keep it that way . Don't sell your soul to corporate greed , and stay hungry for blood
exactly, we need to be supporting the indies, cause they have been knocking it out of the park lately. Especially compared to some AAA I've seen lately, the indies are the rockstars now
I mean, they don't have a great reputation tbh but glad to see them making another solid game. Just hope they dont drop it like they have with their previous titles.

@Spriktor battlerite wasn't their only game btw, also the game had a good sized player base and they even got E3 time when they announced battlerite for the Xbox. It's up to the devs to keep player interested and engaged and when the player base started to dip instead of releasing updates to help, they just dropped the game, and I'd imagine they hurt they're relations with Xbox quite a bit as well seeing as how it ended up being an E3 spot wasted.
Just saying, wouldn't be surprised if they did the same thing with this game as they've done previously with their other titles.

@Chriskayn they were popular, it was the most streamed game for awhile, the problem was that they tried to separate the BR mode into a new game despite promising it as a free game mode. Then the player base got split and the rest was history

@@JAFARS0N We know more weapons not shown in the trailer will come to the game. In my opinion, this is not the last content update. The game is just coming out of early access, you shouldn't keep your expectations this low

I would love these upward facing camera angles in game. The powerful feeling they give here is captivating.
Been playing since day one. It's been a great game from the start. Back even before Gloomrot, back even before we had multiple story castles, it's been great. Looking forward to playing the full release version. Can't wait to see where the game will be in few years!

Sad they forgot about a weather system. I remember it being one of the first things they teased.
its super cool to see night creature enemies for the new area, but i was hoping there would be trash mob vampires as well. one nitpick ive always had is that when you capture and turn people, most of them dont fit the aesthetic, like its a little silly to me when you have all these holy knight servants walking around your vamp castle. none the less so excited for all this

@@oneroomzoo Im not complaining. Im only pointing out that launch trailer by definition is: "video game trailer released on the same date as the game is launched". Which made me dissapointed when I saw that I need to wait nearly week more.
Have the anti-fun tedium mechanics been removed? Last time I played, the base just completely ignored all chests and resources within it so you had to manually go from chest to chest to pick up pieces. It's an absolute nightmare trying to craft anything like that.

1 they didnt just randomly drop it, it was player matchmaking dependant and ftp so if it doesnt earn them their bread why continue 2 if you actually miss it go snd play, we still do: eu and na casuals 2 min to instant q pop from afternoon on out
This is not a live support game.. they COULD literally drop 1.0 and never touch it again and have fulfilled their promise BUT they already stated there will be small updates to the game for the future.

So glad you guys worked on the game through and through and didnt lose motivation after the initial player drop. The dedication to the game and its active players is beyond commendable.
I wish they didn't gave up on Battlerite... that game could've been a worthy competitive top-to-bottom view game just as popular as League of Legends
I dropped the game, or more like, it took a long break. I played at launch and took me around 120 hours. I'm gonna start playing the full release soon and seeing what changed.
On a side note all the DLC is just cosmetic right?

@@Igoorboy it’s a survival game so it takes awhile to beat. It has pvp servers as well if you enjoy that. I stick to pve
@@Igoorboy I mainly played PvE servers with default gathering rates and what not. The first time took me like 70 hours, something like that, the other times it was like 30-50, cause i knew what to do already.
My first playthrough, after I defeated all the bosses, I set goals for my self such as collecting all the hats and capes (cosmetics that you can get as rare loot), but after getting 90% of the collection I kinda stopped playing till the next update.
A lot of people doubted we’d see the full game. I’m really glad they were wrong. This is (sorry vampires the masquerade fans) the best vampire rpg in gaming.

i never doubted them cuz they were the only studio that was doing big updates on thier early access which didnt even feel like early access the game felt like in a state of launch and they still called it early access so i respect them alot

I'm surprised there's not a single reference to resource gathering and crafting. It was a huge part of the game when I played it a couple years ago. Besides, I see the combat, skills, bosses etc a LOT more developed. I hope the other part grew too!

Looks like the worlds scale and perspective has changed a bit with the new lighting engine on top of it. For instance, we seem to be seeing things from a slightly lower slope compared to a very steep camera angle, and mobs seem slightly larger. Another clearer example is looking at that Adam fight we saw a few seconds of. Anyone who reached that fight knows it can feel pretty tight with the boss and the lightning grid. Seems like it was scaled up and there is now more room to move.

I was recruited by a guy I played one game with before. He bought me this game and I still play this. 599.2 hours on record so far and counting. The only other game I've ever played that much is FFXIV and Ark, and a good few days are just afk'ing in those games. If you like top-down games that are challenging and rewarding as much as they are chill and fun, get this game. Also HELL YEAH CASTLEVANIA DLC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can finally faithfully recreate Alucard rather than have a shadow of him!

Over 500 hours played so far, through it's development. Come May 8th, I'm about to double that figure. Cannot wait for the changes, expanded area and end-game content to keep me continually occupied! Bravo, Stunlock Studios. Bravo.

@@umbertus I played through the game 4 or 5 times.. with different groups of friends and loved every bit of my 550 hours. If you just rush rush rush rush then I can see why that might get boring.. some people like to collect all 5 100% blood types, deck out 10 servants in the best gear, build the castle of their dreams.. etc... there are things in the game to keep you content if you like them but if your only goal is to rush to the end then well that's that you get.. a rush to the end.
@@jeremyslg9994 There are patch notes both in discord and in steam that show the changes for 1.0. They are adding a whole new zone, Dracula will be the final boss, we get to fight Simon Belmont and they are reworking the skill tree system and adding some passive magic systems as well. That's all I know off the tope of my head.

The whole concept is so original, intriguing and well executed.
The idea of yourself being able to become a boss and create your own dungeon/castle other players must enter at their own risk with traps and all makes it so damn cool.

@@carlosmspk no, I'm just saying that you literally start from scratch and become a "boss" of the castle you build for yourself and the powers you unlock, it's cool from a perspective of another player entering your castle like challenging you as a boss!

bought this to mess around way back, saw potential and held off until release. the time has come.
Random buddy talked me into picking this up and since then I've gotten 15 of my buddies to pick it up throughout the early access updates. Hands down one of my favorite games I've played in the last decade. So stoked for the 8th and thank you stun lock for making an amazing game!

I've been playing since launch of early access so I've gotten them all to play through out its development but never all together as one. I've already flooded their inboxes with the release date so we shall see. It'd be so fun to get two big groups together by then on one server. You and your friends pvp I assume? Am i the only who prefers solo or co-op over online pvp? Most good areas are already taken, and it gets annoying at times. In solo it kinda feels like the whole land is for your taking + having multiple bases just brings relief.
I been following this game FOREVER and I don’t even have a PC to play it…but soon it will dawn on the PS5…soon my legion will rise…
