Love how Jeff says, this trail is little flat and slow. While I feel like he is flying even faster then the previous trails. 😂
Man I wish I had trails like this in Texas! That i9 hub sounds so freaking amazing just buzzing while Homeboi rips the trails. Great vid!
Thanks Dangle!
It's frustrating and awesome to see you ride trails I've ridden 🤘
Fax
Right!? He makes it look effortless 🤙🏽
Why is it frustrating?🤔
@@quitemountainous2528 ken rides them much faster and better than we can
If I could have one superpower on a bike it would have to be to absolutely slap in the turns like Jeff. I think he and others love the manuals but its the turns that blow my mind every time...
Jeff is great, but if I had to choose, it would be Sam Hill
On your off days you are better than me on best days by a landslide. Love how quiet this bike is on the trails.
Those i9 hubs singing loud n proud! 👌
You are one the funnest riders to watch. Love how you just jib around everywhere
Just placed my order for one - excited! Thanks for the videos that Help me make the big decision
Cool video. Super fun looking trail! Thanks for sharing with us Jeff!
Types of videos: This one was fun! It makes me want to ride my bike too. Here in Michigan the weather has been wet and cold makin the trails prone to damage so I haven't been out much at all.
Hi Jeff! Big fan here! How come you no longer mention the trail’s name anymore? You mention the trail’s sponsors and trail builders but no longer the name.
I just moved to Sudden Valley and still trying to get familiar with the trails around here. Exploring a bit at a time and I’m loving it!
From High Above = JC and crew makes THE BEST hip packs EVER! Period! I have a little bit of a custom one (dual Fidlocks, I still owe him some beers for that too) 😁🍻. Great video Jeff, this looks about the same day as when we did some work on Happy Hour too. It should drain well this winter. 😉 Yeeew!!
Yeti makes the GOAT bikes
Very cool ride. love the sense of speed
I’m can’t quite help it, but I’m really lovin the beard look, you look more badass!!! I just bumped into your not bearded look old vids before this video & i say keep that bearded look! Rock on man!
You make Mohawk look sooooooo smooth
Great stuff Jeff 😜 hopefully you are keeping well over the pond 👌🚴👌🏴🏴
I think the added skill needed for a successful manual is deservant of being differenciated. My longest wheelie was over 300 yards, and over 50 years ago!!!
Trails look super buff i,m old 52 been riding since 10 yo. Back when i was 17 yo i regularly wheelied to a mates house over 8km away can still sometimes get a couple of km on the back wheel with a mix of mostly pedally some coasters and little manualling wish i could manual for more than 100m but hips are not flexie enough ha ha .
I also mainly use Backpacks but lately been tired of that. So I got the PNW seatbag which has been great.
I wish that first jump trail you did had more of a grade. Hard to clear things if you have knobby tires and more than 150mm of suspension. Runs kinda slow most of the time I’ve been there, hard to keep speed thru the jumps.
Also I don’t know if you’ve ever tried a chin mount for POV footage but might be better to give up a bit of stabilization instead of having the gimbal max out and do something weird
And that Dad Bod experience too? Nice.
Enjoyed the video, leaving this comment to activate the algorithm so the videos keep coming!
Thanks Trav!
haha; regarding wheelies: back roughly 1986 or so I could wheelie as far as I wanted (pretty much literally. Still can, but it takes a little warm up these days). Anyway, manuals weren't a "thing" then, and a coaster wheelie was something a little different. I thought it would be cool to learn how to get a wheelie going and then just stop pedaling and see how far I could go, effectively "manualing" years before I would come to know it was a thing people did. It also birthed the "trick" of finding small slopes to "manual" down. It was less an effort to manual it, I just thought it looked cool to try and keep my wheels even all the way down and have them hit the ground at the bottom at the same time. I'd never be so bold to say I invented anything, per se, but I certainly had never seen anyone do it and I had a blast doing something none of my friends could do 🙂
Hey dredds you may have been the first no one will ever know haha back in 82 before mtb started in aus had this bike like a moto bike f and r suspension heavy as 55lb with a coaster rear brake single speed would pop it up pedalling going down hill then hang of the back dragging the brake just above the balance point not a manual as sitting down but still cool could do this till i ran out of hill , funny how even tge bmx guys didnt manual , ah the old days can still wheelie for ever but only manual for 100m on a good day .
There is a specific difference between manual and wheelie imo. I can wheelie 150 yards but I can’t manual more than 6-8’. Manual and much more technical
Agreed. I can wheelie the length of a football field while pedaling, but manual about 20 yards if at speed w dropper down. I am pumping my legs by the end to get that far too. I suck at manuals. You usually don't need to manual very far in trail situations thankfully.
Always entertaining to watch you shred. Do you ever bump into Mike Kazimer from Pinkbike out on the trails? you 2 live in the same area right?
Jeff a great question and one thats always debated. In my 40yrs riding and racing I’ve always thought and believed that if you pedal its a wheelie, standing or sitting. If you are not pedalling and standing its a manual and if you are not pedalling and you are sitting down its a coaster wheelie or Coasty…. Your Gimbal was unhappy today too.
Great ride! 🤘
Can you also test ride the Santa Cruz Hightower V3 and compare it to all the trail bikes you've tested?
Jeff, would you say this is as good, better, or worse than the SB130?
Hey what's up huge fan how do you like the yeti over the ripley af just got the the new 2023 af mustard stain about to hit my first ride on it Wednesday
Hey Jeff can you compare the Revel Rascal to the Yeti 130 lunch ride or the SB140?
Another awesome riding Jeff. Sold my offering and Jeff if you were to choose one bike, pivot switchblade or sb140? Saw your switchblade review umpteen times almost committed to it but sb140 just launched so I’m torn now
Buy the sb130 lr on closeout.
Was looking at the sb130 but swinging more to the switchblade and now this sb140 arrived
Hey Jeff, do you find you have to actively ride forward like you had to on the SB 130?
dude mullet is awesome though!
SB140FROSTDEEZJUMPS
Awesome ride! And the Yeti looks amazing!
Gee but I wonder, when did you record this? It looks like early autumn! It looks so good!
He said November at the end, so well into fall. That is unusually dry for November in the PNW.
Dope!
Jeff you ride Mullet a lot faster than I do, lol
Review the new fuel ex ??
1... maybe 2 pedal strokes max for wheelies lol
my longest wheelie is like 2 cranks lol
I think that calling manuals wheelies is fine but they are still way harder to do than a seated pedaling wheelie.
4:37 my son says do a wheelie no pedal, so according to a 2.5yr old they are a wheelie
Been trying for years to figure out why its called a manual. I believe the term/trick comes from old school freestyle skateboarding, but why was it named a manual? When I was a kid going between skating and BMX we used the term manual without much thought for both disciplines. Nevertheless, I feel like on a bike the term wheelie seems more appropriate even when not pedaling, just as one does on a moto. Maybe on bikes we can call manuals a coasted wheelie, IDK might be lame. If anyone can provide me the origins of the term manual that would be great. Oh yeah longest wheelies in the BMX days could be road for blocks, but not so much these days on the MTB.
I love your videos, but this one kinda gave me vertigo lol!! I guess I appreciate the gimbal view more. Love what you do though.
Really nice video but the gimbal just does more harm than good to be honest
Furthest i've ever wheelied
- I can't wheelie.
Not NEAR as far as you wheelie king
I can reluctantly accept manuals being called wheelies, but I dislike it. The reverse is absolutely NOT true. If you are applying power, it is a wheelie and not a manual.
3 miles.
Hey Jeff, Is this a Scam? I do like winning things...
#Galby4Life
I mostly watch JKW videos. (-:
Manual, wheelie...doesn't really matter to me, but don't call a stoppie a nose wheelie or we are done as friends.
Second
euwwwww euwwwwwww

Super expensive bike!
Total trash
Thanks for the really insightful and helpful comment! So glad you took the time to write it out!
I have a yeti! And they are trash
I comment that cause i know what im talking about
Can’t argue with you brotha
It’s odd how a brand can trigger hate responses. Most would just move on to another bike. For example, I owned giant trance that was ok. But I didn’t love it. I don’t walk around trashing Giant every chance I get.
@@fit2live that’s you!
It’s funny how my comment triggers so much hate for saying what it is!
10k+ bike to ride blue/black trails?
I can do that in my canyon spectral for less than 1/3 of price.
Yeti, Santa Cruz, specialized keep given them your money they will keep getting expensive thanks to you
