Dude, from a blind man’s perspective, you got a heck of a good sounding car. I can’t see how it looks, I bet it looks as good as it sounds. Love the sound of that Cam. Growing up, my daddy had a 69 impala, powered by a 327 with 350 heads. Talk about a screaming son of a gun, that was a heck of a car
Thats a perfect hot rod. You can do whatever you want to it and still drive it everyday. numbers matching is nice but so is a car that you can drive and enjoy. The linelocks= old school= nice touch !
If you drop in a 550hp 496 stroker you wouldn't need a line lock to do a burnout😆 because with 600 foot pound of torque you'd be worried about saving your tires😂
If this was a real SS I definitely would have said it was and as to whether or not that's a factory installed cowl induction hood I don't know, but it's a functioning one. That's a fact. And the heartbeat of America was all hand-painted.
Bringing back some memories for me I carelessly sold my ‘69 SS396 many years ago. Thanks for taking me back.

Now when I video my cars and I make sure I get plenty of loud engine rumbles just in case you're listening

He's scared with just the 350 engine 🤣
its not a cowl induction hood nor is it a factory SS

It is an aftermarket non-functioning cowl hood. 1970 was the first year for the production cowl hood on Chevelles.
it is an actual functioning cowl induction hood just not an original one
SS one motors 327 no is one ss the motors ss is one 396 ss
