If I wanted to research how to wire a system like this. What is this type of wiring called, 5 way or 3 way? Do you use 5 crossovers or just one? + do you know any good places for information on building sound systems like this. Sorry to load on the questions! Any help is much appreciated :)
It's like fighting - use whatever works. There's a channel called "simple tings" which has some information which will be of interest to you. Most systems are 4-way. On the low frequencies, the general principle seems to be, the scoop is for the bass power and tone, there are bass speakers which provide the thump (kick + bass), then there are mids and highs.
