Have the best trip ever!! I was able to snag a six-month milllbox and a mystery bag so pumped ❤
You will have a lot of stories to tell us on your next podcast!
I knit my socks using 2 circular needles.
❤❤❤
Have a wonderful trip to Italy. I knit my socks on dpns one at a time. 🇬🇧
Woot woot! I got the last 6 month sub of the Mill Box!!
Jillian's Tørkle came out so beautifully and Vicky has really made great progress!
Enjoy Italy! Can't wait to hear all about your adventures together there!
Oh, I missed your surprise bag!! So sad... I hope you do more!!
Safe travels sweet ladies!
Always have a sock on needles- dpns. Work on only 1 other knitting project at a time, but I also do embroidery. Loved The Covenant of Water !
Oh thank you! I use Ann Budd's book too and failed to understand the raglan instructions. I'll enjoy your updates on this pattern very much in coming episodes!
I also have that same Top Down Sweater book. It helps me as a newbie 😊
I hope they allow you to get some video tour while there save travels ladies 😀
Two weeks without my Monday night MillCast!!!???? Noooooooo!!!! Have fun Ladies. Safw travels!
Have a great trip!!
Socks one at a time…..Love to knit socks and for whatever reason, I do not have 2nd sock syndrome!! OH!! The Covenant of Water is SO good!! You do have a very busy Fall…..Enjoy Italy!
Great podcast!! Love the surprise bags! You guys have become my favorite podcast next to the Woollythistle! Maybe because I have my own sheep and process wool just for my friends and I.
That is awesome!
I knitted the No. 12 top down sweater by My Favourite Things. A fantastically well written pattern and easy to follow. Currently have the Ann Budd book on loan from my local library.
Thanks for sharing!
I was so excited yesterday evening to receive the email, announcing the surprise bags! I rushed to your website, added a surprise bag to my cart, (which already included the green Project bag) clicked on pay now!!
Your trip sounds so exciting, have fun, be safe, and eat lots.
Yay! Thank you!
My allergies suddenly acted up and my eyes watered when you talked about the Pressed Flowers shawl. It’s so beautiful!!! I can’t wait till next time we visit our kids in Stowe…the timing has never been right for an open house visit!
We hope we see you on your next trip to VT!
I have 5 projects on the needles...socks, hats, mittens and a cowl...I get bored easy...these projects are all in one basket and I am always finishing something. My next project is the Pressed Flowers shawl...
Wishing you happy safe travels! BTW had to order a mystery bag! Great idea!
Oh thank you!
I just received my surprise bag!!!! I LOVE IT! Thank you!
Love watching your mill cast! And when I make socks I always make them using two sets of dpns. I knit a few rows on one then work on the other and do a few rows. That way the pair is done basically at the same time and if I do a modification I remember to do it on the other sock. Hope your travels go well. 😊
Smart method!
For socks my favorite method is TAAT on two circulars. No second sock syndrome. I usually have 7 projects going at a time plus a few in hibernation. Your sweaters are lovely!
What is TAAT?
@@junctionfibermill two at a time 😊
11+; that was me!!! With Fibromyalgia and radiculopathy, I have different levels and skills/techniques to still be able to keep myself engaged. 😅
Wow. On so many levels, wow!
Btw…I have a colorwork pullover for my 2 yo grandson on the needles. AND always at least 6 pairs of socks. All in varying stages of completion. I love the “shiney-new” sock yarns and there are so many dyed in fall-ish and Halloween colors right now. My favorite way is on circs, 2 at a time, But on 2 circs (I have a lot of needles). I knit the cuffs on each set then alternate 10 rows on each sock in the pair. Heel flap and gusset on one then the other, then foot, alternating socks in the pair.. That way, they come out even, my tension is the same and they are done pretty much at the same time. ( hope that was all clear as mud)
I do always have a pair for my errand knitting…one at a time…
Have a great trip…see you soon!
6 pairs of socks! Wow. Impressive!
Hi Kathy - any chance you could email us? Hello@JunctionFiberMill.com - We'll explain why....
Those surprise bags went fast i guess! Thanks for the fun show. I found you a few weeks ago and have been working my way through from the beginning. I love the details about how everything works. Socks... I either do do two at a time magic loop or I do them side by side...on different needles but at the same time. So both toes or cuffs, then foot or leg, then heels etc working back and forth so that they both finish about the same time.
That is awesome!
Socks, two at a time on 40" Chiaogoo is my goto "my brain is mush" knit, when my other WIPS are too much. Tip on the Torkle and being able to talk during a shape. I put a safety pin (or progress marker) on the (always RS) first knit row of the shape. Then, if I have to stop, forget to check the progress box, or get interrupted, I know exactly what row I am on. Safe travels, take video!! No bad food is allowed in Italy.
Great tip!
I always have a pair of socks on the needles. I knit both socks at the same time on two sets of needles. I have two pair of size l needles on cables, and two sets of size l double points. When I finish the rib on the first sock, I cast on and finish the rib on the second….and so on, until finish sock one, then two … usually on the same day. Concurrently would sum up the process. No second sock syndrome here.
Love it!
I had hoped you’d go to New England sheep and wool but I see you’re not in the vendor list.
We are waiting to see if we have a booth!
I have 4 sweaters at various stages of progress, as well as a scarf, and always a pair of socks on the go. But I have sweater quantities to make an additional 6 sweaters. 😬 Plus random skeins of beautiful things. And yet I’ll see you at Rhinebeck! 🧶🍃🍁😆
Too funny!
