- The Fiber Festival of New England happened this past weekend in West Springfield, MA and Peggy gives us a recap of the event. We also have some exciting new things in our shop - the 2023 Holiday Box (sold out as of editing) and the Raven’s Roost Revisited shawl kits (still available!). We’ve been processing a lot of custom orders this week and we have two very different breed-specific yarns to show you. Hope to see you at the mill for our Open House this Friday from 3-5pm.

Thanks for another fun shop cast! I love you guys! I stopped by the booth at NE Fiberfest to say hi and show off my Savage Heart Farm hat, so cozy! My KAL kit will arrive hopefully today and I can’t wait to cast on. You have to restock the holiday boxes, or at least stock silent night! Gorgeous!
Great shopcast this week. Love the hat pattern. 🇬🇧
This hat pattern is so much fun! I had a great time coming up with a message and knitting it using your yarn. My hat reads, "Yarn is my destiny"
Hello!
I am knitting a hat for my son using Farm Fresh. He picked the dark blue representing water for the main color and rust representing fire for the contrast color. The words are Isshin-ryu Karate which is the discipline he practices. I will be adding some duplicate stitch flames in between the words using some leftover gold Farm Fresh from another project. The google tool for spacing the words was GREAT! Thank you! This is a fun quick project terrific for holiday gifts.
Great to see Peggy at New England Fiber Festival! I have cast on the Read This hat with Red Hots, I am doing a variation with CHEERS!
Oh... we like that.
SOOO glad I saw the newsletter yesterday and jumped right on to purchase a Holiday Box AND received my quarterly box yesterday, so a Junction Fiber Mill magical day! LOVE a new millcast and dreaming of a visit to Vermont...some day!
Some day....
I am the person who bought the last green skein! It was great to see you. The knit along sounds great!
So excited I nabbed a Holiday Box! Those yarns are scrumptious together. I use a lotion bar for my hands and the unscented is named “buck naked” 😊 Love your sweaters you are sporting in this episode! I am a regular viewer in Oregon & look forward to watching. Thanks you two! ❤
So glad you found us!
just went to your website, you're are all sold out on the hat kit, love your videos, you 2 crack me up. love both of your energy.
The is only one hat kit sold out - three are still available!
I just entered my finished Read This! Hat - what an easy fun knit! I couldn't believe how fast it went. I can't post it on IG before I gift it to my librarian sister, but I wanted to let you know what words I chose especially for her: READ MORE BOOKS! with a couple of hearts to fill in the space. I can just imagine her wearing it on a chilly day in the Rockies as she checks out the books. I've been test-driving it myself, and it is a fabulous fit! Really cozy!
LOVE IT!
Sad I missed the Holiday Box :-(. But signed up for the newsletter and will be on top of it next year!
I managed to snag the holiday box - super excited!!
Hope you enjoy it!
Awesome thank you.
You're welcome!
I think your Millcast is wonderful ladies, and I am super excited to get my yarn for the Read It Hat KAL over here on the west coast. I need come up with what I want my hat to say pretty quick because once my yarn arrives I will cast on and enjoy every minute of it. Hopefully my hat may read: Love and Peace on Earth (for the times we are living in.)
Can't wait to see it completed!
You know the worst thing about your KAL? Choosing the colors!!!! You ladies make amazing yarn and I can't wait to cast on. I'm going to do "sheltie mom" repeated. Thank you for the yarn and the pattern in the holiday box! Can't wait to start on that project, too!
Started my Read This! hat. Love the settlement yarn. Hope you will have more again, especially the green.
Dyeing in up as we type!
❤❤❤
Always a good day when a new Shopcast comes out.
Bummed to miss out on the holiday box, I was traveling yesterday and missed seeing the email in time. Please make more!!!!! You are more loved and popular than you realize! ❤️
ah. Thank you.
I received my first skein of making tracks, and I have started a hat (a different one than the KAL). But I did buy the Read This pattern to make a hat for a shepherdess out of fleece I spun from her wool. Great pattern! Lots of fun using the spreadsheet to calculate out the lettering. So wish I lived closer (it would be a 9-10 hour drive to come to your open house...)
Some day!
Also, well done Emmett, he went to art school with my two kids.
He LOVE Emmett!
My hubby’s knickname is “Hot Smokin’ Man”. 😂😂😂.. not sure he’s wear a hat with that on it but it would be hysterical!
Maybe HSM and leave them guessing! ?
Loved seeing you at the New England Fiber Festival on Sunday! Totally made my day. Like I said, it was like seeing a tv star in person. 😆 Can’t wait to decide what to make with my purchases. Already using my bag(s). 😊 🧶
i keep seeing people raving about your yarns, but often mention when they read the label they have no idea what WRJ means, i do since i'm from N.H. just a thought if you ever redesign the labels to clarify it. love your podcasts and happy for your success!
It actually reads, "White River Junction" in bold above the description of our business! LOL!
So enjoy watching your squishy yarn 🧶. Happy week ladies 😃
I signed up for the newsletter a couple months ago and do not get and emails. I even checked my junk and spam. Not sure why? But I love your yarn and can't wait for the next box!!!
Hi Crystal, would you email us at Hello@junctionfibermill.com with your email and we'll find out why you aren't getting the newsletter? Thx! P + A
My “Read This” hat will be for my brother, a Philadelphia Eagles 🦅 fan. It will either say “Go Birds!” Or “Fly Eagles Fly”
LOVE IT!!!
I love the Making tracks but I don't wear bright colors usually. Maybe I have to make gift hats?
Gifts are good! We do have some neutral colored Making Tracks. Did you check out Valley Fog?
On shearing around the neck, I suggest trying a good pair of dog shears. Works for a small area and not as scary as trying the professional shears.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I’ve been watching your podcasts since you launched #1. Have placed several orders of your wool but haven’t knitted it yet- love your stories and hope to get up to VT to see you in the next year.
We look forward to meeting some time next year!
Since I missed the fun “Christmas box” wondering where is available ordering the the sachet by “Mae” ?
You'll love seeing what here: www.maebyhand.com/shop
My Randson will be playing Santa this year, for the first time. I'd like to make him a Read this hat with the " Ho Ho Ho" well see. To many wips. No green 😢
😂 Grandson
I'm thinking....Natural white with Cloverfield
Nice!
