I remember when we really started to step up our WA game during Nighthold, digging through logs and spell IDs etc. I actually enjoyed that part of the CE raid process.
that brings back so many good memories, especially when you are trying to devise unique raid boss strategies that aren't really on UA-cam guides... those were some good times (:
Hey Wayne, I made a video regarding how you can import my WeakAuras: ua-cam.com/video/yOed8hfaMzw/v-deo.html - they are for tank WeakAura packs though, I have not really mained a healer since 8.2; However, will see if I can find my old healer profiles, will share them with you, if I can unearth them.
Interesting point haha, if you watch the World First race, it's quite clear top guilds have a dedicated person/team building WeakAuras for bespoke encounter mechanics and triggers haha. Love to see what goes on behind the scenes if possible
@@QuaziiFFXIV I know it. Its wast meant in a bad way. Of course you give your guild any advantage you can on progress. Im just amazed at at how fast things advance
People would already be doing this if weakaura was capable of pressing buttons or taking actions without user input. You could technically do it now but it would require extensive programming of a third party application that almost definitely is in violation of TOS
Hey Wingzer, unfortunately for a 'phase' fight you cannot script the WeakAura per the method in my video. You need to rely on another form of custom WeakAura, where the trigger is based on a custom coded event (e.g. the boss emoting a phrase, when he / she / it transits). You might have used similar WeakAuras in the past. Another way is to code a trigger that has an offset based on a boss timer (Bigwigs or DBM). E.g. on Queen Azshara I used to have a WeakAura coded that gives the raid a 3s warning before lasers spawns, for them to pre-cross in Phase 2. Hope that helps
I am still supper annoyed at them disabling the ability to modify friendly plates in instances, due to exorcus raid tools or w/e back in the day. I used to be able to have a very nice boldened/outlined text to highlight player names, that also served as healthbars. All in a nice minimalist package that didn't obstruct my view like default bars being enabled. I play on an ultrawide, so I cannot read names at all without nameplates being enabled. Totally bogus Blizz just disables that functionality entirely, without adding any basic modifying options themselves. That is so lazy... I hope they don't do similar things due to addons like weakauras.
Totally feel you, I used to play a Shadowpriest, and I remember there was an addon that would have unit frames pop up for every add that spawns in encounter, and you literally applied dots to these unit frames on screen (instead of mouseovering, or clicking on nameplates). Blizzard removed that interaction in that same fix =x feels bad man

Love this! Is there an updated one for Vault of the Incarnates?
You have a download for your healer ui/ weak auras

Very interesting. Im calling it now. By next expansion players with be simulating raid encounters with weak Auras instead of playing. :P

Did you link this vid to mitsu kekw
How do you modify this for a phase fight? Like for example if our group hits phase 2 at different times depending on comps etc.

Can this work on wow classic raids?
i think it's possible, but I have not actually looked into that before
