      Thanks man, a kind and generous gentleman and scholar made it for me. I believe his name starts with M and ends with elderon.

    I would add that as the Main tank on patchwerk, you'll not get hit by hateful strikes unless there are no other targets in melee range. If you have enough healers, you can dualwield and put a bit of extra damage on the boss. (Just swap to shield for the enrage.) His melee attacks are a bit stronger than the average in naxx, but not up to the level of Heigan, Saph, or KT.
    Personally, the most splatt-y boss is heigan. If my disease doesn't get cleansed instantly, i'm usually dead on the next melee.

    Any ideas on the approximate +Healing cutoff for Diamond Flask vs Styleen's on Loatheb? Also useful info about the Lifegiving Gem, was using it more as a defensive cooldown in case of getting low on Loatheb but could try AV exalted trinket for sure. Thanks for the video!

    i mean great info but 100% at the end it was all over the place... we jumped from fight to fight randomly, was a bit confusing.

      @@Navak_ Even without THC most players with Gressil tend to not give a damn about weapon skill anyways.

      But yeh what if you use a shield will THC be more threat than TF?

      @@rubengonzalez3222 Interesting thing with sword+shield is glancing blows are (in most cases) less relevant and therefore weapon skill is less important. Without an offhand and assuming you have the rage to spam HS you will perform very few white attacks, which means very few attacks suffer from the glancing blow penalty. Pretty much your only white attacks will be extra attack procs in that situation.
      Additionally, the 6pc t3 bonus provides an extra 5% hit to all your attacks except Bloodthirst and white swings. It's very easy to reach the 9% hit you need without weapon skill with this bonus, and it makes sense to wear that much t3 on the few fights in Naxx where you would use a shield.
      All this put together means the weapon skill on THC is not a big deal when comparing THC + shield vs TF + shield assuming you have enough rage to use HS nearly all the time. Loatheb actually deals so little damage that this isn't the case, and since you're rage starved it makes sense to use THC + shield over TF + shield (assuming someone else is keeping the TF debuff applied). Patchwerk as a Hateful tank is another story: I use 6pc t3 and have near-infinite rage so TF + shield may be the better threat option, but as the primary Hateful tank my threat is actually irrelevant due to the bonus threat mechanic of Hateful so I use THC + shield instead just for its better survivability.

    How is patchwork not threat sensitive?

    • @Navak_
      @Navak_  4 роки тому

      Patchwerk's Hateful Strike mechanic gives bonus threat, by design enabling tanks to hold aggro from pumping dps despite wearing full defensive gear. It is possible to have threat issues despite this bonus threat, particularly on pull if melee go in immediately or if you're the 3rd or 4th tank and are rage starved because you aren't getting hit by any Hatefuls. However since there is a mechanic giving you bonus threat that makes this certainly less threat sensitive than most fights, and you can get away with wearing less threat gear.
      For the situation where you're rage starved as the 3rd or 4th tank you can just pop Last Stand early in the fight. The extra bonus hp will draw Hatefuls to you, making you the primary Hateful tank for 20 sec. Each Hateful basically fills your rage bar so this should give you a comfortable threat boost which can hopefully carry you until another Hateful comes your way later in the fight. Gem is another option for this purpose.
