This is my favorite out of all of them. Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson are so good together.
Legendary duo
Me too. It’s the best one
My favorite was always Live Free of Die Hard, but I am definitely biased because of my crush on Junston Long
Jeremy Irons really made this movie too! He was fantastic!
@@Tye-Dyed yeahhh…. You’re trippin… 😂 no disrespect
The villains' plan was so realistic the FBI or the NYPD had to bring in the writer to find out how they knew all the actual security weaknesses in NYC. Turns out it was all based on public record.
I didnt know that :O
Jeremy Irons has the greatest voice. He was the voice for scar in the original Lion King.
Another fun animation fact: That scene with samuel L and the cop at the pay phone, they sorta re-did that scene for the incredibles when the police tried to arrest frozone
The greatest villain voice 💯
Ever heard him sing? He's pretty amazing.
And he's Alfred!
The bad guy walking McClane to the elevator in the federal reserve slipped up a couple of times. He said “dogs and cats” instead of “cats and dogs.” He also called the elevator a “lift.” Both of those were hints that he wasn’t American as he was pretending to be
Ohhh!! I didn’t catch that! You’re right!!
@@ReelinwithAsiaandBJ Yeah cool details. You guys do a great job. Keep it up.
@@ReelinwithAsiaandBJ Check out the movie "WITHOUT A PADDLE". It's Hilarious!!!
I always loved that. Such a nice writing touch.
Now explain the guys in the truck.
Definitely my favorite and most nostalgic Die Hard. Me and my bro saw this when we were 11 at the theater. Small town, didn't matter that it was rated R and it was $1.50 a ticket. 90s ruled
I miss dollar theaters; how many others miss them also
In Canada, it was $2.50 Tuesdays at the theaters in the 90s.
Definitely my favorite Die Hard movie. Non-stop action, and one of many movies where NYC is a co-star. I remember seeing this in the movie theater when it came out. As soon as he delivered the Yipipe-kai-yay line, the whole audience erupted with joyous shouts and applause, just like BJ did.
Live Free Or Die Hard was the best one ‼️
@@BillKrayer12thManerrr - no‼️
Hook line and sinker is a fishing reference used to describe how everything was going according to plan. They didn't just take the bait, they swallowed the hook, the line, and the sinker because they were fooled so bad. The trucks coming in were "supposed" to be there to clear debris/work the area. But he wanted them there to haul the gold and get out fast. Both Hans and Simon bank on by-the-book responses to what they're doing.
Also, if you think about the first die hard movie, his brother followed the same approach. So his brother showed him to bank on them responding by the book to everything. Like with them cutting the power to the building but it helped them open the vault.
“Think we should call a fire truck?”
“Aw, fuck ‘em. Let them cook.”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great reaction! Love the Die Hard movies!
John's right shoulder has been through a lot from the first four movies.
1. Shot
2. Stabbed
3. long piece of the cable stuck in there
4. shot again (twice)
This is hands down my second favorite one next to the first because it connects to the events of it. Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson really make a great team!
Yippee Kiyay Mr. falcon
I consider this the second Die Hard movie. I refuse to acknowledge that disaster that other may recognize as the second. This should have been the one and only sequel.
I agree. I go between the first one and this one as my favorite Die Hard
Yep.
Yeah the first one and this one are the best. The first one is my Christmas movie this one is my summer movie.
I loved how they switched up the dynamic with his buddy in this one. His relationship with the angry, antagonistic Zeus is the exact opposite of his relationship with Al Powell in the first film, who was the definition of supportive and understanding
Jerramy Irons who played Han's brother in this, is also an Academy Award winner for best actor in a different film.
@@GhostWatcher2024 a monkey's uncle
@@GhostWatcher2024 I believe it is the one thriller where he portrays himself as twins. Don't quite remember the name
Jeremy Irons won the Oscar for 'Reversal Of Fortune' (1990) portraying Claus von Bülow (the Newport, Rhode Island millionaire accused of attempted murder & physically disabling of his wife - which he was wrongfully convicted in his first trial based on flawed circumstantial evidence but was acquitted/found not guilty after the 2nd trial based on solid concrete direct evidence from Harvard Law Professor/Lawyer Alan Dershowitz)... It's a good movie worth watching
He also is a good Alfred Pennyworth
@@candicelitrenta8890 Dead Ringers
The original die hard will always have a place in my heart cause my mom wanted to watch it every Christmas, and that's family and holidays and stuff... but just for pure goodness... this is my favorite.
Samuel L Jackson and Bruce Willis really bring out the best in each-other in this movie! Love it y’all.
2nd best Die Hard movie for sure! You guys always seem to pick the best movies to react to and for that reason alone I think you guys are my fav movie reaction channel. Keep it coming!
For sure favorite reaction channel/couple. Asia and BJ seem like really nice people too ❤
I swear if you say Die Hard 2 (which is a movie that I refuse to believe exiss.) I swear upon ALL of the Gods that have ever edited out will exist. You will my Mortal Enemy for all of Eternity.
@@jameshurley9551 Hard agree
All the Die Hard movies are good. This first Die Hard is my favorite especially since it is how we meet John McClain and Alan Rickman as Hans is a great villain. This movie is my 2nd favorite. You can't beat the wonderful actors Samuel L Jackson and Jeremy Irons.
This one was my 2nd fav movie for decades. Saw it when I was 14. They used every trick in the book, storywise, characterwise and actionwise. The ungodly chemistry between Willis and Jackson brings the "buddycop" line on a new level.
Die Hard 4 (Live Free of Die Hard) is also worth watching..also Red and Red 2 with Bruce Willis are fun movies to watch..
Jeremy Irons is always awesome when it comes to being the bad guy. I would suggest watching Dead Ringers eventually.
As for this movie, it's going to be an eternal classic. Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson make a great team.
When it comes to Bruce, I hope he's surrounded by many family and friends who are taking care of him and love hime deeply.
This and Scar from the OG Lion King are his best roles imo
Jeremy Irons is the man!
And Jeremy irons is the best Alfred in Batman too
Don't forget this was right after Jeremy Irons played Scar in the Lion King
Nice to see you watch the final good die hard movie lol. Its honestly arguably the best one in the series. Usually Sam Jackson and Bruce Willis have magnetic energy and catch lightning in a bottle. Its my personal favorite from the OG trilogy.
I'd say Live Free is great too. They should stop after that. 😂
Yeah live for you was actually pretty damn good and the stuff that happened in it was crazy. But yeah the movie after live free was completely dogshit LOL
@@Alexanderthegreat159 I kinda feel weird about clowning it, because around this time Bruce's condition started up.
That also explains why he looked like he just stopped caring.
The next one with Justin Long is really good too but this one is my favorite.
@@Alexanderthegreat159 I honestly didn't even notice. I thought he did great and Live Free or Die Hard.
"Live Free or Die Hard" is my favorite Die Hard film. According to Wikipedia - "Live Free or Die Hard was released in the United States on June 27, 2007. The film grossed $388 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing installment in the Die Hard series." Thanks for reacting to the Die Hard films. Be well.:)
I hope Asia and BJ do the 'Unrated Cut' of Live Free Or Die Hard (and avoid the PG-13 cut - in my opinion) because the unrated cut feels more like an actual Die Hard film (with all scenes intact) instead of the other very toned down & heavily edited (creating plot holes) PG-13 version. ✌️
As a nerd, Die Hard 4 (Live Free or Die Hard) would have been my favourite but Samuel Jackson Jr tipped the scales for this movie to be my favourite
This movie is awesome, first Die Hard and then this one are my favorites of them all. The great dialogues between Bruce and Samuel are hilarious and great.
Have an awesome movie evening 👍 Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪
Second that.
1 & 3 😍
I actually saw this movie in theaters as a sneak peak when it came out in the 90s. It was so awesome. Their was a guy in front of the screen giving away prizes before the movie starting. They don't do that stuff anymore. This is a really great movie. Love your channel!!!
They gave away prices at top gun 2 in Norway (Hamar) never seen that before. Maybe it’s getting a comeback 😜
Still one of my favorite movies of all time. The combo of Willis and Jackson is perfect and it's a great plot.
YESSS by far my favorite Die Hard. The pacing, action in this movie was so well done. Kept me on my toes the entire time.
You guys are going to LOVE this movie! I just watched it again last week. Enjoy! ❤❤❤
Rewatching these movies with you guys is great. Feels like the first time again. Love how you just enjoy the movies for what they are. The energy and reactions are top notch!!! My favorite reaction channel by far!💖💖
Live Free Die Hard is really good too! Not everyone likes it, but I enjoy it quite a bit :) It's a fun watch and I hope you guys watch it!
Yep. That’s the last good one…
I loved it. Probably my favorite
saw this movie way back in 1996, where you been hiding. Saw all 4 Die Hard movies, pretty cool!
Live Free or Die Hard might be my favorite... For me, it's a toss up between the 1st one and the 4th one... I need to rewatch the 2nd one and this one tho
I liked that one.
This is definitely my favourite in the series. Brilliant cast, good plot and non-stop action. I absolutely love how the villain delivers that line "Hook, line ... and sinker"
Part 4 is also a ton of fun, I recommend you check it out.
"Brain fragments. That's what I saw flying"
"You see that guy get perfectly split in half, baby? Perfectly Symmetrical!"
I'm going to find an excuse to say "Perfectly Symmetrical" every day now.
This dude steadily reminds me of my Uncle Mike. Him and my Aunt Stephanie like to watch movies and talk about them just like this. On another note, I keep forgetting there's TWO more Die Hard movies left after this one.😆
You said Trilogy, but there are actually 5 Die Hard movies! 👱♀👱♀👗👗👠👠💓💓 Hook, line and sinker are all involved in fishing. Saying it means a way to explain EVERYTHING needed for success!
My fav Die Hard. From the opening credits right to the end It doesn't let-up or have a breather for a second.
And now you'll always remember who the 21st President was ;)
"Perfectly symmetrical" 😂😂😂 BJ is a comedian
BJ saying "WWE STYLE" that was worth all the laughs 😂😂😂😆
Definitely my favorite. The chemistry between the two of them is hysterical.
Great reaction to a great movie. I just loved the back and forth between Willis and Jackson. Die Hard 4 has another great pairing with Willis and Justin Long which is funny but in a different way.Just as much action too. Please watch that one too.
There is a die hard 4. Also check out cliffhanger, and my personal favourite movie of all time: Vanishing Point! 1971 a bit trippy but best movie ever!!
Love to you guys, see you next time like you’ve never been away!! 🤣🤣👍👍🍻🍻
This is the best one of the series. The way Bruce and Sam played off each other was great.
McClane says " I was working on a nice fat suspension smoking cigarettes and watching Capt Kangaroo".. Bruce Willis who played Butch in Pulp Fiction sings the lyrics in the car " Smoking cigarettes and watching Capt Kangaroo " right before he hits Marsellus
I love this movie. This, for me, is an all time classic! They don't make em like they used to.
Samuel Jackson Jr put the icing on the cake on this one. As a nerd I have a soft spot for Die Hard 4 but this is still my favourite.
Number 4 is also very action packed:) Another good Willis film is Striking Distance. I call it Die Hard on the River lol.
This was the FIRST Die Hard I seen... still, hands down, the BEST one in my eyes.
Definitely my favorite of the Die Hard franchise. I like all 5, but this one turns it all the way up. Goes Non-stop, funny as hell and never lets you go. It’s 3,1,4,2 and 5. In that order!
Samuel L. Jackson's character as Zeus was amazing in this film, and in my eyes, this was the best movie in the series. The elephant puzzle in the park is simple to work out too, and McClain and Zeus made it so difficult lol, another movie that's great with Samuel L. Jackson is The Negotiator.
The beginning when Asia and BJ talk about the sign :D
"That doesn't look suspicious"
And i'm like here... "Oh you wait" :D
These 2 are great movie partners. They both catch things in movies the other one didn't see. Very entertaining.
Simon was played by Jeremy Irons. He was also the voice of Scar in Disney's, "The Lion King."
The next movie in this series is, "Live Free Or Die Hard." ✌️
Of the three Die Hard's, this 3rd one is my favorite too Asia! The first one is great for sure, but I think this movie had so many memorable scenes and lines! The story and plot twists make it such a fun ride! The casting & acting, even by the people in small roles was great!
Please watch "Unbreakable!" Its another Bruce Willis/ Sam jackson collab and is my personal favorite of the films that they did together. its made by the same dude that made the sixth sense.
Damned, Asia is really smart! She figure out the whole Plot Elements, way before the get explained! BJ really got a great Catch ;-)
Hi Asia and BJ, The next one in the series, "Live Free or Die Hard", from 2007 with Justin Long is really good as well. My second favorite behind the original.
@@christopherb501 Galaxy Quest and Jeepers Creepers
NOW YOU CAN SEE WHY AND HOW THEY WERE ALLLLLL DIFFERENT WITHIN THE STORY OF THE SERIES, SO WELL PRODUCED, DIRECTED AND EXECUTED FOR SURE YOU GUYS! 😊 HE SAID ' SAY HELLO TO YOUR BROTHER ' 😊AND OF COURSE YIPPIE KAYAY! I ALWAYS LOVED 2 ( THE SEQUEL ) SO, BUT THE WHOLE SERIES IS AWESOME, WITH LOTSA FUNNIES AND ACTION.
Think this is my favourite die hard. Just because of the banter between Bruce and Samuel l. Great chemistry. I think diehard 1 is stronger but this 3rd one is just an all out fun explosive 🧨 time
This is the second best Die Hard right after the first one. The dialogue and plot are so much more riveting than Die Hard 2 was
Just noticed for the first time,i'm sure the wee woman john walked past on the road with the sign is the same woman eddie murphy gives the earings to in coming to america
When I was a kid (13ish) I picked up the hobby of making my own explosives. The liquid explosive in this movie is real and very easy to make with (2) ingredients but 1 of those ingredients requires special authorization to obtain. I asked my Middle School science teacher if he could get me some; he took one look at me and said "HELL NO! I know what your trying to make!"....Smart man. :)
This one is definitely the best Die Hard, Samuel L Jackson really made the movie to me.
My favourite is Die Hard 4 and for me signals the end of the franchise. Really hope to see you guys do a reaction to it!! I have enjoyed riding with you for movies 1-3, breaking bad, etc… keep on reeling 🔥🔥🔥
The story goes that the plot for robbing the federal reserve was so plausible that the filmmakers got a visit from the feds wanting to know about the plan and where it came from.
Asia's intuition for the stolen trucks was amazing to watch.
When the train derailed and BJ said They out of Compliance I nearly spit my drink everywhere 🤣
Great reaction guys! This is definitely a great one, but the first Die Hard will always be my favorite. It was a classic, it started it all I loved Alan Rickman as the villain, he is hard to beat. Die Hard 4 (Live Free of Die Hard) I thought was very good, not sure you should skip that one. Well done as always, I enjoy watching your reactions!
Honestly, the only one worth skipping is that last one. 1-4 are all good in their own way.
Unrated Cut of Die Hard 4 is the best version in my opinion....I always watch that one.
Favorite die hard without question. My mom took me to see this in theaters when I was eight. I had never seen the previous movies at that point and I loved it! I recommend adding “three kings” to your list, starring George Clooney, mark walberg and ice cube
Great reaction! Another Samuel L Jackson movie is The Negotiator. It’s a very suspenseful. You’ll love it.
I loved your reaction to Simon's identity. I watched this in theaters when I was 13 and the audience was mumbling ohhhh. My dad was surprised too. This is definitely my fav die hard movie, glad you liked it!
This takes me back to when I couldn’t wait to see what movie premiered on HBO on Saturday at 8 pm, and then I’d watch the movie a bajillion times
Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson year later after Pulp Fiction looks so awsome in the third movie of Die Hard , also big shout out goes to the actor Jeremy Irons , his accent in entire movie are such a masterpiece and that makes him awsome villain , so John McClane had a hard war battle going on against Gruber brothers , Hans was send flying all the way down off Nakatomi tower , and Simon was cooked to the crisp , John McClane is one man army for sure , thank you Asia and BJ for a cool , shocking and full of great laughs reaction , next stop will be Die Hard 4 :)
Gotta love how they fit some Christmas lines in. Simon says "no Santa clause" and McClain has the riff about Santa clause before he kills Simon's men in the truck
I watch the Die Hard movies any time they are on! Can’t wait to see y’all’s reaction to it 😃
My favorite Die Hard film, this is definitely one of the greatest action films of the 90s
They didn't show the best riddle. Fill a 5 gallon jug up with exactly 4 gallons of water using a 3 gallon jug. It's done like this: put all 3 gallons into the 5 jug. Fill the 5 gallon jug up the rest of the way with 2 gallons leaving 1 gallon in the 3 gallon jug. Empty the 5 gallon jug. Put the left over 1 gallon in the empty 5 jug so the 5 gallon jug has 1 gallon of water in it. Put the full 3 gallons into the jug that already has 1 gallon in it and there you go.
The first Die Hard is definitely my favorite because I remember when it first came out and there was nothing else like it. This one is the 2nd best. It almost feels like this movie should have been a direct sequel to the original.
Great Die Hard video. Hans brother, Jeremy Irons actor was the voice for Simba's uncle in Lion King. He's got a distinctive voice. 🥰😎👌
I loved watching this again with ya'll. This is one of my all time favorites. I hope ya'll continue with Live Free or Die hard, I really enjoy that one and can watch it over and over also. I feel like you guys would really enjoy it.
Wishing Bruce Willis love during this illness he’s going through. LEGEND. So are you two.
Both of your reactions to the sign in the beginning is on opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to shock. Some people can't help but laugh and others are is just disbelief and have no words. Classic reaction and a great film. This is my favourite Die Hard in the franchise.
Probably my favorite film in the franchise. Kind of funny since it wasn't written to be a Die hard movie. Thank God someone connected the two. Personally enjoy part 4. Could take or leave 5. Always wished for a crossover with Predator. Yeah I know but is it really harder to believe than all this stuff happening to one dude?
17:37 Jeremy Irons... also the voice of Scar in The Lion King 🦁 Long Live John McClane
This is for Asia.
He took the bait hook line and sinker. That specifically relates to the recreational Hobby of fishing. Hook is obviously what do you use to catch the fish and hook is attached to the wine which is on the real and sinker is the term for the lead weight that is on the line so that the hook sinks below the top of the water.
So, He took the bait, hook line and sinker. Referring to the fish hes trying to catch.
BJ!! loved it when u said, "u can't go wrong with a woman who likes it rough" made me laugh so hard!!!...lmao, lmao!!....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, great reaction y'all! Love watching along with you both, will look forward to watching more!!....👍👍👍👍👍take care!
😆
It Is So Sad About Bruce Willis Illness Prayers To Him And His Family For What There Going Through 🙏🙏🙏
A bar of gold weighs 27.4 pounds. This is my 2nd favorite Die Hard movie, behind the first. Then Die Hard 4, Die Hard 2 and lastly was the last Die Hard movie. They keep upping the stakes with each movie. First one was a building, then an airport, then Manhattan and then the size of the territory keeps growing in following movies. I won't post details in case you choose to view those at some point.
My favorite of the series.
And shout out to the bomb technician who sat back down when he learned there were kids still stuck
Definitely my favorite behind the original. Samuel L. just added so much to this trilogy. Samuel L. was just getting hot after several years in cinema. This and Pulp Fiction came out around the same year and I think they gave Samuel L. his big break.
Fun Fact: The Bank Heist In Die Hard With A Vengeance Was So Well-Planned The FBI Got Involved. screenwriter Jonathan Hensleigh was approached by the FBI as the script was being vetted by authorities in New York. The federal bureau felt that the writer had maybe a little too much information on hand about the Federal Reserve bank, the set of which was designed to be very similar to the actual basement vault.
Awesome reaction The Die Hard ~ Vengence was a summer blockbuster when it first came out it was #1, grossing $22,162,245 on its opening weekend. The back and forth repertoire between Mclane and Zeus was charismatic and unique from a apprehensive uneasiness to a bonding respect for each other.
Jeremy Irons nailed it as the villain Simon Peter--Gruber , he was the voice of Scar in The Lion King .
Come on Now don't be sleeping on " The Book of ELI " 😎~ With Denzel or "The Revenant " 🐻~With DiCaprio
Peace 🪶
One of the best movie out there 4~sure. First one is the best one by many critics. Alan Rickman's perfomance as a vilian is perfection and that one is 2_nd best., SLJ & Brus Willis are the best movie duo like ever.
Nowdays I miss movies like this.
17:48 hook line and sinker is using an example: fish bite or take the bait and get hooked...you reel-them-in.
There's 3 things at the end of a fishing line-- bait which attracts...a hook to catch with or snare the fish that bites for the bait if they don't see the hook. And a sinker the adds weight at the end of the line because the hook, bait and line won't have design enough to go far below the water. Different fish swim at different levels. To put the bait at the fish's level you would like-to-catch, needs that heaviness enough to be lowered far enough down. But the sinker is not necessarily too close to the hook. A mark-target-or subject that takes all three when they bite has been a real! Sucker and fell for the trick hard. Not just believed the deception, but believed with enthusiasm.-Ernie Moore Jr.
The standard weight of a bar of gold bullion is 438.9 ounces, or a little over 27.4 pounds. At current market rates ($1,838.02 per ounce), each bar is worth $806,706.98
Another great reaction, FYI, when and if you watch The Incredibles, which you absolutely should, there is a great reference bit to this movie, with Samuel L. Jackson's character Frozone in that movie, to keep in mind. It's a play on the scene in the subway, when Sam has to answer the phone and the transit cop is all nervous and freaking out with his gun drawn. Also, when you do cover the movie, there is a great short to watch afterwards called "Jack Jack Attack" that's hilarious, they did another for the sequel as well, called "Auntie Edna" that is also brilliant.
It was just announced that Bruce has Frontal Lobe dementia.
This is very sad. My mother has the same condition and it’s a living hell to watch her forget her entire life.
3rd is my second favorite
4th is my favorite, Justin Long was at his peak, it was before kevin smith sold out and it have maggie Q and Timothy olyphant :D
This is my favorite die hard. Me and my mom used to watch it every year when I was younger. These are her fave movies. Please watch the rest of them! This is the best but there are two more! The fourth is really good also and my second favorite. The fifth one is great also. Both of them are really entertaining. Worth the watch @Asia and BJ
I so enjoy reliving these old movies with you guys. Now it's really awesome I get to sorta see an action movie I've not watched before. (everyone my age would've seen I and II). Loved Bruce's second movie with Quentin Tarantino call *Four Rooms* . A very unique movie around one character (Tim Roth) within four stories, each directed by four different directors.
The Misbehavers is my favourite part.
@@sweiland75 Of the four segments: "The Missing Ingredient", "The Wrong Man" and "The Misbehavers"; my favourite *The Man from Hollywood* with *Bruce Willis* never included him in end credits because he did it for free. Fun Fact!
You two are adorable! Asia's face during this reaction video was soooo cute! Hahaha!
As much as I love the first movie, With A Vengeance has to be my favorite.
Not sure if u knew this but the main villain was Jeremy Irons and he was Scar, Mufasa's brother in the original The Lion King.
It's 3:30am after a really difficult 48 hours and the only thing that is making me feel alright is watching Asia and BJ enjoy the heck out of movies
Hey, Thanks Sharelle! Much love to you ☺️
