The Tower of London has a small garden where they estimate the executions were done. My wife got really creeped out by it when we found it… the rest of the grounds and the tower didn’t bother her at all. Well, Henry the VIII’s suit of armor with the outrageously large codpiece creeped us all out…
There's the story that in Austria they hid all the codpieces in an armoury when some VIP visitors inspected it... So, it seems that they creeped other people out as well...
I've been to Himeji Castle, creepy but also I was really impressed as to how they preserved everything. I really want to go to the Tower of London someday.
Visited Edinburgh Castle...beautiful! Also saw Stirling Castle...Robert the Bruce and William Wallace monuments/memorials... The last Scottish castle we toured was Eilean Donan...where exterior scenes were filmed for “Highlander” (Sean Connery & Christopher Lambert)...and “The World Is Not Enough” (James Bond, Pierce Brosnan)...
Tomorrow, I am touring around one of the most haunted towns in Pennsylvania, Lock Haven. The town is known to be built on top of a cemetery as well as Indian Burial Grounds.
I visited the Tower of London in 2016. I thought it was cool, and I even saw Anne Boleyn's grave there. One castle that should have been put on the list was Malahide Castle which is located in Ireland. I visited that castle in 2005. Malahide Castle is reported to have five ghosts haunt the castle that I was told come out at night. One ghost I was told about was the court jester Puck. I was told that Puck had long gray hair and a long gray beard. He was a trickster, and I saw his door when I was touring Malahide Castle. I think I was told that there had been a long period of time where nobody had seen him. Other ghosts I read about include Miles Corbett, Maud Plunkett, and the White Lady.
Im happy to see an romanian castle in the top ,the thing is ,i live in Romania ,and i like visiting the castle one at 2,3 years......i can Say i love it , it's not really creepy and the thing with the heart of Queen Maria it's just part of her Last wish ,to separate the heart from the body ,there were kings and nobles in UK who did the same thing so.....
I’m kinda surprised Hampton Court Palace isn’t on here. That has quite a few ghosts associated with it, including two wives of Henry VIII (Jane Seymour and Catherine Howard). I think they even give haunted tours there.
The most haunted castle ist white castle. Legend has it, the chocolate shake is that cursed, no clothes will fit anymore after you consume it for a while.
#9 Leap Castle , i was recently inside that castle and even met the owner who also lives in the castle , His Name is Sean Ryan , he has been the owner since 1991 and the spirit that haunts the castle was a Priest who was murdered by his own brother in the built in chapel , I'm surprised this video got it completely wrong
Yoda: "That place is strong with the Dark Side of the Force. A domain of evil it is. In you must go." Luke: "What's in there?" Yoda: "Only what you take with you."
I do say gov'na it appears there is a random talking head in this Castle. What say you? should we leave said Castle or should we continue exploring it like there's no tomorrow?
I visited Bran Castle just last month and it neither scared nor impressed me. I was very disappointed tbh, it was in fact the main reason I bothered to go on a trip to Romania. However, I did learn something more scary than any ghost could ever be: There are people to this day who live in Romania whom lack limbs, because their own parents mutilated them. This happened because Nicolae Ceaușescu forbid abortions and all kinds of contraception and forced women to give birth to at least 4 children. And thus parents having no way to support such big families mutilated their children to get support from the government.
I was a nightwatchman in malahide castle for 4 years and I have seen a spirit the spirit was about 5 ft tall and was a man who was a caretaker to the resident family of malahide castle the Talbot's who reputedly committed suicide after a maid rejected his advances of love and to this day he has been seen by those who still work as security in the castle, I work for the local council and transferred to day operations, but there was never any evil about the spirits well not on my watch,
Fun Fact: If you are a Forza gamer, you will probably know this one. Edinburgh Castle was actually one of the first haunted castles to appear in a car driving game, and that game happens to be Forza Horizon 4 in 2018. Period
How likely would it be that if you met a ghost that you could actually understand him? If he's from the 1500s, I bet it's game over for most of us. Even today, I've met people who I couldn't understand whatsoever despite speaking my native language, but some really weird dialect. The further back you go, the more the dialects diverge as TV, radio, printed media, etc. were not yet a thing... A second point would be, if ghosts are just echoes of the past, or otherwise incapable of learning new things and remembering events, or if ghosts are telepathic in nature...
Yeah I don't like being breathed on so Moosham is not my place. I already don't like breathing in five nights at Freddy's 4 which is essentially you being breathed on while by The Doors it's unsettling and it's creepy
Just WHY EXACTLY do you think Bran Castle has nothing in common with the one in Bram Stoker's novel? And where did you get the absolutely CRAZY idea that the Communist Party made up the connection between it and Dracula? You seriously think they even knew about the existence of the novel? Let me inform you that the novel wasn't even known in Romania back then! In later years, many people have discovered and confirmed that indeed: Bran Castle IS THE ONE THAT BEST FITS Bram Stoker's description of "Dracula" castle. You just made a COMPLETE FOOL of yourself! 🤦🏻♀️
Regarding Himeji and Co: have you ever thought of how many average-sized European castles would fit inside it? A small watchtower has more living space than the average European castle FFS! Also, many castle keeps are no higher than the stone socket on which the Japanese keep stands...
How the fuck could you not include any welsh castles?! Wales has most castles in the world abs apparently they’re all haunted considering how old they are
Wait a minute so that castle is said to be haunted by Okeiku? you mean the one that inhabits a doll that grows real hair and teeth right? okay I'm staying away from that Castle

I felt the same way when I visited the tower. Your wife is not alone.
@@ncisfan78 "the jewels" of the Royal family 👀 😏
I willing to bet on occasion, the smells and sounds of what took place there… walk freely. Such an atmospheric, historic place.
I visited the Bran Castle in 2019! Deffinetly a spooky vibe to it, so Scooby Doo and the gang will solve a mystery in this castle!
Excellent run down of the best haunted castles in the world!
Poenari is the real Dracula's castle, Vlad only visited Bran Castle once. No Glamis Castle?
I've been to Himeji Castle, creepy but also I was really impressed as to how they preserved everything. I really want to go to the Tower of London someday.
It's pretty great. It was a dream come true for me in 2019.

It's no wonder The Tower of London is the main inspiration for the title location of A Night in Terror Tower of the Goosebumps book series.
Anything that watchmojo uploads that is Halloween themed is an instant watch, that’s it, that’s the comment.

I am from Scotland - can confirm there is no shortage of creepy haunted castles here, Glamis Castle in particular.
If I ever take a vacation to the U.K., I'm definitely going to the tower of London.
