Hi Daniel, the gears work fine. All the componentry is higher quality. I don't really use the gears much now I have released unlimited the pedal assist. On setting 4 (both display and app) you can keep it in the highest (slowest moving) gear and it's fine. Though London is pretty flat. I'd use them more if I were going up hills a lot.
Just incase what Karl? It’s not illegal to have one fitted, only if the bike is being used on road with it. Let’s not forget you can have a throttle for walk mode or even have one as long as it only works while peddling. What it can’t do is move the bike with out any input from the Ryder. Just ghost pedal and if you are stoped just flick the battery off let the bike reset to EPAC mode
I've now got a Super 73 thanks to your inspirational videos! I've pretty much copied every step you've made. The one thing I find odd is that I have to switch the mode to 4 (using the app) every time I switch the bike on because each time it's gone back to setting 1. Is that the same for you?
Hi graham this is because if you are stoped by the police flick off the battery it’s now totally back to be legal. Very good idea I can tell you every other ebike you have to hold breaks power switchers for 10 seconds to go back to legal mode ha! I know I’m late to the party but thought I would say why it dose it
thank you for great reviews! two questions for me plz 1. i am 171 sm height , do you think this model will be ok for me? 2. as i know , throttle comes only with US models , how you order it en Europe with throttle? sorry for my english , and thank you in advance !
Hi there. You're about the same height as me, so yes, size is fine. The European model can be fitted with a throttle. You can either get the official Super73 one or an aftermarket one.. take a look here for more: ua-cam.com/video/EEhYLf7nxH0/v-deo.html
the throttle trigger is too high, position maximum horizontally and see below. It will be a natural position for driving, the hand will also remain well positioned on the handlebars with the thumb downwards ;)
i have both systems .....can say for sure that ...NO PAS ..FULL THROTTLE ...Plus normal cycling ...Is the safest method .....That PAS and even just 4mph throttle is more risky .cant navigate low speeds right and it cant even use speed to get out of danger ....it middle ground danger PAS and restricted throttle even restricted 15mph is more dangerous than .......full throttle + no pas + Light peddling at moderate speed 23mph is safer ...it more control at low speed peddeling and enough power to get you moving out of the way of junctions safe
Firstly, great videos and this is not a criticism of yourself… it’s that the ebike legislation is totally out of date! Throttles can only be used on private land so pretty sure it not allowed in the park either and finally by simply fitting the throttle that has made it non-road legal. As i said, not a reflection on you, just highlighting the ridiculous rules that need updating
The display looks nice and simple, just the way it should be! It's a beautiful design I think!
Agree, Kieran, it's very simple.
Having a test ride this week on the S2 and a synch. Will have to organise a meet as I live in london.
Hey man, I'm from London too, where did you book a test ride? Really interested about this bike.
@@jodsgn sorry for late reply didn’t check messages, fully charged London Bridge.
@@jodsgn I went to switch cycles for test ride in the synch
wait i have an important question so if i dont change the settings on the app will it still only be 15mph? cuz in my area 15mph is max sadly
Could you make a POV with the 10 speed gearbox in action. Would love to see if the gearchanges are good or shit

Coffee, Eggs and Inspiration Thanks for the reply. I can see that most people use these as an e-scooter rather than a bike
Just got a Super73 have you still got the throttle fitted, I've disconnected mine, just incase

Do you have the new update on the app eu and uk modes are the same my bike is not working anymore
Hiya, sorry to hear that. Mine still seems fine.

Well done you!!!! What you are describing is normal. Mine does not do this but I think it's because I am running earlier firmware.

Do you not find it a little awkward with your throttle vertical, rather than having it horizontal so your thumb can rest easier?
Yes a little, bit I need it clear of the gears.
@@cei oh ok, that's fair enough
would you be kind enough to provide the link to the Trottle you purchased?

Hey, I am in London too... I would love to ride with other riders... Are you on the discord?
Is this 3rd party throttle? Only they supply the bars too but I know many are not a fan so debating what to do...
Third party

Hey I really enjoy your videos, so is it illigal to use the throttle on the road then???
Thanks! In the EU, yes.
Nice video man, does the bike accelerate faster with the throttle?
Thanks. Yes it does.

Sounds like the police have you in their sights 😂. I like everything about this bike except the total mess of wiring at the front.

I would also add that this throttle seems totally unnatural position and would much rather be that you rotate the grip like on a motorcycle
Thanks, agree.. appreciate your comment.
