Nice! We visited Mt. Mitchell a couple times while I was growing up. As I recall, it has the highest peak in the Appalachians. I was surprised you didn’t set up a micro hydro unit in One of those creeks to power up your campsite! :-)
It really is a beautiful place. I've been up there at least 10 times. It's not too far from our house. You know as I looked down that waterfall I was thinking micro hydro haha.
Good choice on the sleeping pad - the Nemo Tensor is awesome! If you are a side-sleeper you may try using one of those super cheap foam pads under it for some extra comfort (and only like 1 extra pound to carry). My hip and shoulders bottom out sometimes on the nemo pad. Also...the Big Agnes Sidewinder (in long size) is incredible if you are looking for a new sleeping bag.
I'm a side sleeper, but never had a problem of bottoming out on my nemo tensor. I have the mummy shape to save weight. Its really the best pad I've ever slept on, and I've tried quite a few. Its warm too (if you get the insulated version). Would definitely recommend it!
Awesome! Looking forward to hiking that mountain later this year
Its a great mountain! So many trails.
@@LandtoHouse also want to do Grandfather Mountain while I'm up that way! Can't wait to film that one looks really fun
Grandfather is wild! Be careful on the very top. 500 foot drop on both sides of the trail.
@@LandtoHouse sounds awesome 😁
thank you for sharing this and good luck on the self employed venture!
Wonderful adventure. See any bears? Thanks for sharing.

I could build a Micro Hydro Mini to work with that waterfall 😁
200gpm and 40 foot drop... its a micro hydro dream land!
It’s like an extra Steve Wallis camping video this week. It wasn’t stealth camping but still camping.
Hmm I will have to check that out.
Steve Wallis is great! He's the king of stealth camping.

It was a relaxing trip!
@@LandtoHouse Glad you'll need to have less shifts too. You worked hard for your UA-cam success 👍
