Samong I’m so glad to have found your channel a few months back… I’ve been hooked since and you’ve got me into backpacking hunts over in Virginia. Thank you sir 🙏 content is unreal! By far my favorite along with Meat Eater and Clay Hayes 💪

Big Agnes Horn 0. I am wide up top and this bag has a lot of room also raps over the Rapide sleeping pad. Bought them both for $425.00 last year and took it Elk hunting and loved it. Great quality, warmth and space, great price!
Ever since I ran into your videos man, I've just been in love with the idea of hunting! Im new to hunting and I just want to ask how someone like me can get into it like you!
I like the trigger stick gen 3 for walking and shooting. I’m disabled. So I need it to talk with all the different terrain. With the way it goes up and down with a pull of the trigger. The most versatile walking stick on the market.
Samong, you might want to check out the Hydrapak Seeka water storage bags and pair with the Hydrapak water filter. They are super durable, flexible, and easy to fill. The filter works really well, and has a solid, locking cap. I run separate 4litre and 3litre bags, which enables me one free to fill while hunting high up. I use the filter in the 1 litre flux flexible water bottle with the filter acting as the cap. Super flexible, great lid size and will save you stacks of weight over plastic water bottles. The Rincon is such a great trekking pole tent. Tip, if you need to cook while sitting inside the tent, use your spare trekking pole to prop up the front zip outer fly. Works well. Great tip on the Argali knives in orange. I've got the Serac, use orange dyneema around the sheath so can store it around my neck while using the knife. At least I know where it is, and can put the knife away easily while using.
Great videos this season Samong! For as often as you are using a sleeping pad, you should invest $35 in the Flextail 2X tiny pump! Keep up the great work!
I have an orange painted bucket with straps on it. This way i can put spare jackets and pads to sit on inside the bucket and not sweat wearing the stuff. I sit on public land and get out earlier than anyone else and sit all day in one spot that i have scouted out weeks before i go hunting. I dont go camping when i go hunting but i do when i go fishing.
Glock 20 owner here. Your going to want to get a KKM stainless barrel, Tungsten or steel guide rod spring, and trijicon hd xr sights. you want the stainless barrel for the buffalo bore and big game rounds and the metal guide spring adds a little more weight to the end of the barrel which lessens the kick and glock stock sights are the worst. The trijicon sights are kinda like the turkey red dot in which you can see side to side of the front sight through the rear sight so you can see your bullseye. I love the glock20, I feel very safe with it after a few hundred rounds of practice.
Hey Samong top notch outdoor sporting videos. I got hooked with your catch-cook-eat videos. Q1. What pack stove/pipe are you using? Q2. What are your total backpack(s) weight range for deer and elk? Thanks with high praise.
Outdoor Research Men's Expedition Crocodile GORE-TEX® Gaiters. Best gaiter IMHO. Can't speak for Peax but the top model from OR are hard to beat. Give them a shot.
Not hating love your videos but the thankful sign in the background is really messing with my OCD not being centered over the tv/tv stand lol….happy hunting
10's are just more universal to me. 12's are more niche and generally, are more used on tripods or a monopod. Both have their own strengths! My buddies both use the 12's and are exclusive to them!
What pack would you suggest? I am going to go spring bear hunting next spring. In Idaho, or Montana. I live in the south. That will be the only time i will use the pack. I'm going to take 2 weeks of vacation. I will stay out 4 days first time out.
When fisherman walk into the bait shop we often ask “who’s really trying to get caught here” because you spend so much when a simple worm gets it done. Same goes for this.
I've watched a lot of your videos and like all the aspects of them. One question I have is in the north east washington how accessible is the area for hunting. My family usually hunt east slopes of the cascades but I'm thinking of trying a new area for deer
Nice breakdown. For the trekking pole that was not able to lock up again, did you disassemble and reassemble it? That's what I had to do and it started locking again.
Swarovski is generally better glass, but it's all up to you if it was worth the extra money. The Razor UHD's are great, so the real question is: Are the NL Pure worth twice the cost? I would go and take a look in person at the store to make that decision.
Great work on your channel. Yours is 100% my favorite hunting channel. One question, do you have a personal weight limit for rifles and/or backpacks on your backcountry hunts? I've been tempted to get an ultralight rifle, even though I've done a 20-mile round trip backcountry hunt last season in AZ with an 11lb rifle 308 setup and combined with my pack weighed about 55 lbs. Everyone is different, but I'm curious as to if I'm going too heavy or if my setup is about average. I know there are a lot of factors that go into this, but I'm curious as to your personal preferences. Thanks! Keep up the good content!
Heck ya just what I needed! Have you hunted southern Idaho? I’ve seen your Idaho videos just not sure what part you were hunting. I’m moving from Texas to Idaho soon and worried about the hunting lol used to sitting in a tree climber not walking 100 miles lol
I have never hunted Southern ID. I do the majority of Idaho hunts up north in the Panhandle region. Regardless of where you are in Idaho, it's a lot steeper than Texas 😂
Love your videos your an inspiration for young Hunters, my one question for you which phone service do you recommend I'm assuming Verizon for the out back Wa. Thanks for sharing
I use Verizon, but there isn't always cell service for any carrier in some places. A satelite phone like the Zoleo or Garmin inReach is best for remote places.
Hi Samong Outdoors, I really like your videos and I want to start hunting. I want to start with squirrels and rabbits. What advice would you have for hunting squirrels and rabbits?
@@TheTyrider427 My issue with blood flow isn't correlated to frame height. It has more to do with the overall size of the hipbelt that wraps around the waist. I have never been able to effectively use a pack with hipbelts that size including the K4 pack here. I don't think it will be an issue for most people. Choosing a frame height has more to do with getting the right size for your torso rather than your waist.

As far as scopes, I have a LHT also, and I couldn't find a throw level for mine and after some googling I found MK Machining. It hasn't come in yet but If I don't like it I'll check out the Kestrel that you have. I also have the Glock 20 gen 5 and boy it kicks and at first I couldn't hit anything within 15 yards. I always tell people it doesn't matter what you have if you can't hit your target it's useless. The G20 takes some practice for sure.
I've only used 2-stage triggers on handguns. I don't think I've ever shot a 2-stage trigger on a rifle, but perhaps I should try it sometime. I couldn't find a throw Lever for the LHT when the scopes first dropped, too. I basically had to make my own, which Jon from Kestrel was happy to make it for me. I like the design of a square lever more than any other shape, but it's all personal preference.

How big of a gun stock fits in the gun bearer? Like I have a Boyd’s thumb hole stocks on my rifle and muzzleloader and it’s questionable whether or not they would fit the butt end into the gun bearer.
