I am 66 and have seen and heard lots of good music over the years. Tinawiren and all Tuareg desert blues bands from Niger and Mali are fantastic! The best. ❤😊
Nous avons tant de richesses culturelles à partager ...c'est toutes nos différences qui font la beauté de ce monde , dommage que certains ne l'aient pas encore compris ...merci
Tinariwen and bombino and Mdou moctar are my first two favorite Tuareg music groups. I am a disabled percussionist and mediator of this music and this movement. Thank you so much❤
I am so ashamed of my self to have discovered these musicologists so later in ma life they are amazing, each song makes you dance and clap, i am from India but love every bit of this sound and of words, i have no idea but they are tonic for your ears which are tired of loud sounds that people call music now a days , hope to see and meet these guys in person one Day. Insha Allah, only one word for them, Masha Allah
I spent 3 years in the Army in the borders between Algeria, Mali and Niger. I discovered them in 1996 and since that day, I am still a big fun, playing them loud in my car in Washington DC. I love Tinariwen.
HelloSallam i am touareg too and i live at Reunion Island in The Indian océan nice to meet you! But One day I be back to see the tribe ! 💖🌴👌🌱✌i love thèm ans their music !!! Wildlife💚💚💚
I will never ger tired of this music..I clap my hands, stamp my feet on the ground, I twirl imagining that I am the wind of the desert ..I love Tinariwen and I hope that one day the mining companies that pollute their water and exploit their resources go away..I hope one day there is peace in their land. Inshallah
I m from Morocco. This music sounds to me, like the old story's my grand ma used to tell me stuffed with smoothly rocking rhythms I can visualize when the camel with huge loads of acacias to set up fence against chacals (coyotes of north africa) and his walk, or "à l'amble course" (light swaying run) enters the camp and let me hear her humming with joy to feed her baby!
Ry who? These guys rock, and don't need anyone else to "enhance" their sound to your liking! I think they are very valuable to their cultural ties, and I hope this type of music will endure for many centuries to come-regardless of technology.
Although I am the daughter of a hill, I live in the desert / Your words are beautiful and respectful, thank you. Greetings from the depths of the Algerian desert
we europeans also used to fight each other ... then we stopped to be too religious as well as too nationalist and learned democracy. One of the most important things muslims need to learn is this: in europe if you redicule Jesus or anything christian, nobody is going to kill you for it. Some might say you're an idiot but you would experience no violence. Second thing: the last and the only dictator in europe is in Belarus. The whole europe is enjoying a degree of democracy.
you are funny! ,you stopped fighting each others ! but you kept exporting your folly elsewhere , i don't have to list all your dirty wars, colonialisme , invasion plot against sovereign nations... Let just people live according to their values whatever unfair it looks to you.
You my friend have nailed it right. It is most unfortunate human nature has to be on a self destructive coarse all these years. People "with" taking advantage of others "without" for thousands of years until mother earth says enough and flicks us off her shoulder like a flea. Music is the only common denominator rational people from all over can agree on. I would love to travel all through out N Africa but I can not and it makes my heart sad for all the cultures I can not experience.
Terriblement mystique, terriblement profond, un style originale qui nous réchauffe le cœur, nous fait voyager, et qui renforce notre fierté d appartenance a cette millénaire culture berbère.
I saw them in Malmö Sweden Pildamsparken 2007 aug me and best my friend! I will never forget that day! Everybody was dancing magical music! They gave me a signd copy of ther album! My Fathers family are and old warrior tribe Sahrawi from the dessert of Algeria! Peace
The production of the recording in the rusting hulk of a ship is incredible. The short interview inserts that give more and more perspective and insight is beautifully scripted. The musicians of Tinariwen merit this kind of special thoughtfulness. Their music transports the listener. The messages expressed are powerful. I don't understand how their voices are not heard as much as they should be. Their role as keepers of the desert cannot be ignored.
Hey Out There . . . Music bring people together . . . I lissen to the music with my soul and spirit . . . I olso lissen when he talk abaut the problems in his home-Land ... I wonder why no one care ... Love and Peace from Danmark

Ronja Sol Valravn hey :) i just hope that people like you , that bring love peace and respect , multiply untill there will be no hate or wars and oppression. the world , the people... are beautiful , if only we embrace each other btw reading your comment makes me smile everytime :)
craig wahabb That is how I see all of us : Humans give up the old hate and fear . . . our world leaders have to find peace - we are so tierred of there wars and hate . . . I am a mother and a grandmother and all my life there been wars around the Planet . . . not in Skandinavia but we send soldiers and that is not good . . . The hunt after money and power bring no good to any one so my heart is with all out there that want to live peacefull . . . Maybe my hope that we can live and share all and everything together then I know that there are water and food enough to all and if we live with knowledge for Living Nature then we all can give a good future to our children . . . I can work with any human that work for peace olso if they have an other langua, culture, religion or skincoulor: I care for The Spirit . . . Thank you for your smile :)

That's my ideal of peace on Earth. Muslims playing blues mixed with Islamic music. Dudes from New Orleans playing Japanese music mixed with jazz, Brazilians playing Thai songs in samba rhythm, and so on and so on. Everybody respecting and loving each other in an harmonic and peaceful world.

People like the musicians of Tamariwen are my brothers and I have no fear of their brothers and sisters. They are welcome.
The true beauty in music its it's ability to touch the souls of those who are exposed to it. This captured everything in me,
Great harmonies on top of the driving beat and guitars. I can't get enough of the sound coming out of the Sahara!! Inspiring!!
