I see too many lovely gift ideas on your table. 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Will you show us how to make them too? But please, consider the beginners and teach us how we can make earrings or broches with these sweet little things. Do we need to glue ends of the threads to secure them ? Can we use any adhesive or should we use textile glue for it? How do you attach them to metallic pieces? And thank you very much
As a beginner, I would encourage you to try ANYTHING your imagination offers you. Experience truly is the best teacher. I am here to offer ideas and to get you started. Trying these things yourself will help you see things clearly in your own way. As for using adhesives with tatting.....this is a technique that I have used with greeting cards only. I do not glue tatting to fabric, felt or metal. There is a better chance that the glue will let loose over time. To use enough glue to alleviate that would change the look of the tatting, in my opinion. I prefer to sew my tatted pieces to anything I make...for example, using tatted pieces sewn to fabric or felt to make a brooch or necklace pendant. Even greeting cards now, when I do make them, I stitch the tatting to fabric and then attach the fabric to the card. For earrings, I usually make tatted pieces with picots and just add the earring wire or finding through the top picot (like the earrings you see in the video). A side note about earrings, many people, including myself, have metal allergies. It is for this reason that my focus now is on making other items. I hope this explanation has been helpful. I will show different project ideas in future videos. Thank you very much for your questions. This is how we BOTH learn things! And thank you for watching! 🙂
@@shuttletatting Thank you very very much indeed You are an excellent teacher. Spend your time to answer all of my questions. As a beginner it means a lot to me . Actually I don't know too much about technical details on youtube. But I think that if you add your answers as a new comment , other people can read them. So you won't have to answer the same questions. So I won't feel guilty that I take your time with my questions. Many thanks again 😘😘😘
@@ank2933 PLEASE NEVER feel guilty for asking questions. A manager at a job I had many years ago once told me that the only stupid question is the one not asked. I have never forgotten that. Asking questions is how we learn things and that's why we are here. I love questions and I will try my best to answer any that you have! 😊
V beautiful colours indeed!...lovely ideas with simple tatting. Thanks for sharing ❤😊
Thank you! And thank you for watching! 😀
