Season 7, Episode 4, "No country for two old men": At a housewarming party for Shawn and Juliet, Shawn meets Juliet's mother and accountant stepfather Lloyd (Jeffrey Tambor). After Shawn arranges for Henry and Lloyd to spend time together, the two suddenly head for Mexico when it's revealed that Lloyd not only has huge gambling debts, but has to make an important delivery to save his own life. Shawn, Gus and Juliet quickly head to Mexico to help them, and Juliet cannot be more disappointed that her latest father figure has let her down.

Psych Synopsis: "PSYCH" is a quick-witted dramedy about a young police consultant Shawn Spencer (James Roday, “The Dukes of Hazzard”) who solves crimes with powers of observation so acute that he’s convinced Santa Barbara PD detectives into thinking he's psychic. Raised in Santa Barbara by a family of cops, Shawn possesses uncanny powers of observation honed by his police officer father, Henry, who drilled young Shawn to note even the smallest of details from his surroundings as a way of grooming him for his inevitable career in the family business. The funniest part of this episode, Spencer was bad in Spanish though the actor knew it
To clarify, the Shawn Spencer character doesn't know or feigns to know Spanish in this scene, the actor, James Roday, actually knows Spanish. James is a latino from Texas and his real name is James Rodriguez.
I need to rewatch the Psych movies. I've hoped that once Jules forgave Shawn for lying about being psychic, it'd be cool for him to teach her his skills.
I replayed the “gravedas/jyes”exchange an unhealthy amount of times without shame.

I'm not being racist, but isn't the actor for Shawn has a Mexican or Spanish last name? Again, I'm not trying to be racist or stereotypical. It's like saying all last name end in ski are polish. Correct me if I'm wrong, I may be wrong
He decided to use his real last name which is Rodriguez instead of Roday he did that at first because he didn't want to be typecasted and yes he is Mexican American.
His dad is Mexican, he's half white, half Mexican
