Really enjoy your conversational style and the fact that you don't breeze past mistakes and happy accidents. Always seems more approachable when you can see the hard parts.
That came out fantastic. I'm so glad I found your UA-cam channel. I decided a couple of months ago that I really wanted to build an intricate 3.75" scale Star Wars diorama and your channel has been the best resource for my research. Tile grout for sand was a game changer for me. Thank you!
Love the rusty tones, and all the depth you achieved with the painting! Definitely gives me some ideas on how to tackle painting mine. Hopefully a bit different than the standard neutral grey I was originally planning on doing these buildings with!
Hi Kathy. Cool build. I have just started the Revell Mandalorian 1/9th kit. I liked your video on painting concrete, it's one colour that I always seem to have trouble getting right. Happy modelling 😀.
here is a tool tip that CHANGED my life.... for rattle cans they make a shaker that attaches to your drill... it looks like a cup with a rod on the bottom of cup, you mount it on drill like a normal bit.... insert rattle can and hit the trigger, you can reverse the drill part way through if you want but no more shaking and shaking cans..... in 30 seconds to a min is like 15 mins of shaking, it is the best tool I HAVE EVER BOUGHT (at least as a hobbyist lol) its not very expensive either.... if you cant find it let me know and I'll find a link for you. the name on mine is I can mixx..... you'll love it I would bet money on that claim, it did for me as I HATED shaking cans and never did it enough until this tool came along and a min or few is way more than needed
Hi Kathy, another fascinating video, this should tie in well with your landing pads, the weathering is stunning, anyway, thanks for sharing, take care, all the best from Scotland, Stephen.
@@KathyMillatt looking forward to seeing your thoughts on it! Been a big Legion and MCP player for a while, and a middle ground between the two sounds like such a dream come true.
Ohh...Dat's some chunky plastic sprues! That terrain seems pretty indestructible. And pretty modular by the look of it. Such a shame we can't use it for 28/32mm scale minis (Shatterpoint is 40mm scaled, folks).
You can use it if you want for Legion (35mm) and AMG make a point of saying that. Doors are the biggest giveaway and industrial buildings often have bigger ones for mechs/machinery. Shatterpoint is the largest minis I have though.
You may know this tip Kathy...If you incorrectly glue two parts together with Tamiya Extra Thin reapply the same glue to the two parts and they should come away fairly easily. 👍
You can do as much or as little as you want. At the very least, spray paint the terrain the colour you want and pick out the details such as keypads or wires. Then put a wash on it.
Great work, love the colour scheme. Would you please share the red/brown basecoat name? As far as I can tell its Tamiya TS-33 DULL RED, but please confirm or correct me:).
I'm in love with Shatterpoint's sculpts and style, even if the actual game isn't that interesting to me. The walkways I think I liked the 2nd stage, where it was shinier... but the best would be a mix of the three, where they look different because they got different amount of use. But, different strokes!
Why on Earth does this clearly expensive set not have hard copy instructions in the box? This idea of forcing people to have to access online instructions is absurd and very poor customer service.

I love neutral grey but it gets a bit repetitive doesn’t it!
really love how you use the oils! thank you for sharing! I will try something similar in my buildings
Thank you and good luck. I do love oils for weathering and washes.

Concrete is such a pain! It’s sometimes almost yellow and sometimes grey and it’s never easy!
Very nice compilation of techniques, including your recovery from unexpected changes in the assembly, Kathy. Gratz on a great looking model.
Thanks John

I must find one! Thank you so much for the tip!
A great applicator for tamiya putty is a colour shaper. You’ll end up putting on less and that speeds up the sanding.
I’ll have to google colour shaper as that’s a new one on me. Thanks!

Thanks Stephen. This will definitely go with my landing pads.
Thanks Kathy.
😁😁😁
great video. Atomic Mass Games has already updated the online Assembly Guides for the 2 buildings with the slid on roofs.
I know several of us fed back to them. That is the beauty of online instructions.
Love your work and I wish I have you at our club!
Thank you!
YEEESSSSSSSS-Thank you thank you thank you-great earthy colors-couldnt decide for myself-amazing job btw
Thanks! I normally stick to boring grey so this was a change for me.
Really cool, thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
So jealous, really looking forward to getting this game in my hands!
I have been so busy I haven’t had time to play it yet!
@@KathyMillatt looking forward to seeing your thoughts on it! Been a big Legion and MCP player for a while, and a middle ground between the two sounds like such a dream come true.
@@Ben_Fett I've only played Legion so far so I am looking forward to it too. When my Kickstarter finishes and I surface, I will get some games in
I love how these kind of board games come like actual plastic model kits with all kinds of stuff now! It's great for kitbashing.
I couldn’t believe how much stuff there was besides minis in the box. Great for those of us who love terrain.
Fantastic!
Thanks Stephen
Good stuff KM. Great attention to detail.
Thank you!

They turned out great!
Thank you 😁
i love the ladder magnet idea... sadly i already glued my ladders on
I wouldn’t worry, I played a game and ladders didn’t seem to be as important as I expected.
Love the results! 😊
Thank you so much.
@@KathyMillatt you are welcome 🤗
You may know this tip Kathy...If you incorrectly glue two parts together with Tamiya Extra Thin reapply the same glue to the two parts and they should come away fairly easily. 👍
Hi Dave
I wondered about doing that but it was very long joints and I was worried about gluing them up even more!
Looks good and will look better with your landing pads. 👍
It will Monique!
Kathy Great video and lovely work again 👍
Thank you so much!
I'm new to painting, and this looks like a very intimidating project. 😅 Good job, nonetheless. The models look great!

Hi Kathy, (that was a bit silly, would you like!!!) Any thing free yes please, That was a long time but fantastic good job, All the best Brian 😃
Thanks Brian
amazing
Thanks!
That’s an impressive paintjob! Thank you for sharing!
Are you going to paint the minis as well?
I am. Video should be out this week of the first 4 but I’m very slow!
@@KathyMillatt looking forward to your take. Thank you!
Te quedo genial
Thanks!

The dark brown rattle can is Ebano by Kobra paints.
This looks like a lot like legion looking forward to hearing how you like it as a system
I have been so busy I haven’t had time to play it, plus I need to build the minis still!
Looking Good Kathy.
How do they fit with your landing pads? Would be good to see them together sometime soon.
Mon
They fit well with the modular set. I am using some grill tops on the lava board I am doing to go with this.
Can someone please share the paints that were used? It’s hard to reference the paints by listening.
They are art store oil paints. Dust colours, black and light red.
neat dio :) are you playing Jedi survivor as well ?
I bought it but haven’t had time 😭😢 once my KS ends and is delivered, I will be playing non-stop.
I was hoing to make multiple gantries but just realised there are only 4 legs for them
They slot on the buildings firmly enough so I’ve never used the legs, even on the longer ones.

I love the sculpts too. It’s interesting how most people prefer a different stage to the one I ended up with! 😁😁😁
You have no idea how depressing I find that statement: "the Instructions are on line". :(
I know but at least they can update easily if there are issues.
@@KathyMillatt I’m looking everywhere and there’s not a way to get the instructions anywhere
Click on the product you gave to get the instructions:
www.atomicmassgames.com/shatterpoint
And they have updated for the issue I had.

I think it’s a good idea here where there’s a problem with one step, they can adjust easily online. Otherwise, I do prefer paper instructions.
