When he said “play something else” he was being rather legitimate honestly. Playing killer or survivor for too long starts to warp you, and frequently I will take a day or two off from playing so that I don’t fall into the trap of toxicity. Playing something else for a bit is frankly completely okay and healthy in my opinion.

Wait, the "all in the same universe" should be confirmed, right? By the archives, it says that the enitity is like a being travelling through multiple universes "grabbing" killers and survivors and dragging them in to somewhat "feed" itself (?).
I mean, yes their is a connection through the entity but once it got what it wanted, their is no connection left since it copies all maps through exisiting memories etc. Those maps are no connections to the real exisiting places - they are just made up to twist killers and survivors. Besides that, the entity can not understand the structure of the real world completely.

I’m a player that played dbd when it first came out, and damn I remember the theories of shadow creatures spreading like wildfire on European and North American servers. It was like the regional servers of DbD’s version of Herobrine. Some theories of these creatures went so far as to state that these creatures will run along side survivors who successfully escape, or that the creatures can be seen stalking the survivors at the campfire from the tree line. I believe the whole shadow creature theories stem from the horrifying sounds you could hear next to the trial ground’s walls when you stood near them for long enough. These sounds did exist at one point early on in the game, but was later removed when people reported that the sounds actually caused them to “see” shadowy creatures in the fog beyond the walls. I only once heard one report of a person claiming these shadow creatures stalked them WITHIN the trial grounds.
26:05 what the "2 vaults in killer shack" mean is that back in the day the killer shack had 2 windows one next to the other, this was very early on in the game and at this time survivor's vaults were instantaneous no matter your speed or distance. This made killer shack a god loop, since no matter what you did survivors could run you there forever

Sort of related to 6:13 - Nea is also the only survivor with a confirmed kill. In the cutscenes for her Tome V thing, Rebel With a Cause, she (maybe inadvertently) causes the Mayor of Falls City to wreck his car and probably die.

a small correction for the all dlc’s are connected entree. The entity is described as a multidimensional being, that can travel to different universes and bringing the contents of said universe into its realm. this is why theres maps and killers based on licensed properties. there not actually all from the same universe, there just brought to the entitys realm
i thought that the entity only brought the killers & survivors from those worlds, and simply created the maps with inspiration, i mean in Freddy's lore he explains how the preschool "felt the same, yet different" but thats just what i think.
@@tacodude83 That's correct. The temple of Purgation is described as being "lifted from the Plague's memories," and the maps in general are all formed by the Entity from Auric cells. It's why they're all covered in lockers and pallets, and why you can find generators in the middle of a forest or an old western saloon; the Entity being a non-human interdimensional being has no real context on what these places are "supposed" to look like, and so pulls from the memories of the Survivors and killers while filling in the blanks where needed (one example of this is you can find a Coldwind farm cow corpse in Lery's).
2:46 That wasn't the reason why Tinkerer got reworked. It got reworked because the Dev's didn't want to add adjusted values for every killer power affected by Tinkerer. Also, Judith's Tombstone does NOT force you to T2 after a single kill. That is the Tombstone Piece (a purple addon), which has no movement speed debuff like the Tombstone. Combining the Tombstone with Fragrant Tuft of Hair allows for infinite moris. Also, Burger King Myers moves at 80% movement speed, which is SLOWER THAN NURSE. He can't even bloodlust because T1 myers can't bloodlust anyone.
Perma T1 myers builds can be freaking terrifying though. Not quite as terrifying as perma mori, but if you're playing for jumpscares it's great. I got so scarred by that stuff Spine Chill is a permanent part of my builds.
We did finally get The Teacher. Pyramid Head's power works the same way his would have. Leave something on the ground, survivors step on it, and when you down them you can teleport them somewhere and they'll be trapped for a short time.
3rd person killers might actually refer to how, early in development, it was originally planned for survivors to have a first person perspective and for killers to have a third person perspective.
Personally, I think the Entity can pull from different universes. There is no friggin way that Michael Myers is in a world with the events of Resident Evil.

For the point: all dlcs are connected People that think this are certainly not aware of what the entity actually is. Like outlined in the observers Arcuses in the Tomes the Entity has access to infinite earth, infinite timelines, this is why the same survivor can exist multiple time in the entitys realm aswell. They are from two different universes since the Entity is a being transcending time and space.
Survivors are not actually immortal. It is revealed in the Benedict Baker journals that the entity feeds on hope, and that survivors weaken as they lose hope. It's never said what happens when someone runs out of hope, but it is said that hundreds have people have gone missing in one location alone, and since we only have a fraction of that I would assume most of the people sent to the entity's realm have been erased. I think that once you run out of hope the entity finishes you off since there is nothing left to gain from you.

I think you should have mentioned one more critical bug. That bug being the loss of progress bug that existed from 2017 to 2018. A lot of people lost all of their progress, and had to start from scratch. You had unlocked the Legacy Prestige outfits? Well, then you were even more unlucky! The devs gave you quite a lot of bloodpoints to level up your characters again, but they never gave out Legacy to those who lost it due to the bug. I'm still mad at them for this... There's also some more stuff I'd like to add: 9:16 The isn't entirely true. The stunning works the same as in the old days, but the devs decided to change the timing in one update. This changes was received very badly, so they reverted the change. 9:53 - Legacy Prestige: This only exists for the original characters that were availabe at the time. All of the blight outfits from the events seem mimic legacy prestige outfits in a more modern way. 31:00 - All DLCs are connected: All the matches of dbd take place in the Entity's Realm, which is the kind of hell you were talking about earlier. The Entity, which is some kind of dark god, takes the killers or survivors from earth and other places/worlds, which are indicated in some of the Observer's logs. For example, in the trailer for Yui and the Oni, we see how she was captured by the Entity and transported to the Entity's Realm. Because the Entity appears to be some interdimensional being, it has also access to alternate universes where characters like Myers are real. The Entity also takes some of the places where tragedies happened and takes them to its world. We see those places as the maps in the game. So yeah, all dlc's or basically all of the content is connected and canon.

Player is the Entity? Never thought of it like that. In the process of trying to escape, I force them back into suffering. I chose when I want them to play and everything. Could probably be some 4th wall break if the Devs decided to spin the lore that way.
The context for him saying "play something else" was him believing that the person making the complaint was simply burnt out over the game. It's a perfectly reasonable, and honestly recommended thing to do when you are getting frustrated with a game. So many people get stuck in a sunk cost fallacy arguement with themselves thinking "I used to have fun with this game, I don't currently, but I must play because I spend thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars on this game." This is one of the reasons you get communities like League of Legends full of toxic/afkers, they don't want to play the game but they have been for a decade and think they must. The outrage over his comment was incredibly silly if people even paid attention to the situation.
I think it's actually been confirmed that the Entity exists outside all realities, and plucks the occasional killer or survivor from different universes? And the maps are just constructed from the memories it steals from survivors and killers, which is why there's a randomization element. Memories are imperfect, so the Entity has to fill in the gaps
You forgot the bug that hit me the most. Sometimes (too many times) when playing survivor and gets hooked immediately your up and down buttons would flip and the camera control gets super sensitive making it pretty much unplayable.
bruh, you unlocked a memory. This happened to me on console (Xbox) and I always thought it was my sensitivity until I found out it was a bug. Happy that it doesn’t happen anymore

the 5 stages of a survivor main: -playing claudette and hiding in lockers or a bush as soon as you hear the killers terror radius -playing nea and using flashlights, balanced landing and urban evasion -turning into a spirit main and then becoming a killer main, or if they dont have her then they play nurse and cant get good so give up and return to survivor. -running object of obsession but then complaining that they get tunnelled -turning into a kate denson who runs decisive strike, dead hard, borrowed time, and unbreakable

I'd killed to see a teacher-themed killer. The ruler, the survivor perk and the apple, That would've been so fun to play! Maybe someday we'll see "The Teacher" in a future chapter and I'd want a high school or college themed map and a survivor that would be in high school or college! I'd listen to the menu/chase theme as well!
I am glad you mentioned this, because I think Pyramid Head may actually be The Teacher, repurposed and reskined, once the devs secured the Silent Hill deal or however copyright law works. The reason I say this is because nothing Pyramid Head does in DbD has precedence in Silent Hill 2 proper. (And the bits that you could make a case for are spoiler-related) The biggest piece of evidence, for me, is The Teacher's Ruler supposedly being very similar to PH's "Big Knife", and also, I can't help but feel like the Cages of Torment were originally meant to be some kind of "being sent to Detention" type-thing. And the Mori built into PH's kit may have been called "Expelled" at some point. And of course, Midwich is literally a school, but on the other hand, it could just be a coincidence. I would go into deeper detail, but like I said, SH2 spoilers and all that. Thanks for mentioning!

I got put outside of the map when playing as pyramid. I used the mori at the gate and it put me outside of the map. Still not sure how it worked but it did
I had the legacy skins for 2 survivors but my account got reset by the glitch that wipes your account (no I did not hack people always ask that, it was a common bug they tell you to backup your account in case) sadly they refused to give me my legacy skins back and instead loaded my account up with 50 million BP which was like 10 million more than I had earned because I was able to P3 an extra 2 characters from before. Still would've rather gotten my legacies back :(
Devs back then talked about trying to get peoples legacies back but as time went on.... well they pretty much want to move in from that sadly, but rip legacies
About all DLCs being set in the same universe. I think it makes sense. My theory is the Entity takes people from different timelines while every chapter is set in the same Universe just different years. If you think about it kinda every survivor comes from different times in history. BUT I think the Silent Hill and Resident Evil chapters might be the only 2 (plus Stranger Things ig) that aren't in the same universe as the others. I think every DLC is Canon to the main Plot, at the end of the day the Entity is a Lovecraftian being who defies any logic so it's plausible the Entity can take people from Different planes of existence, timelines and worlds.

Last Standing is actually able to be cheated into the game and simply had the words “Last Standing” for it’s perk icon. Last Standing was in development Left Behind, being much more busted, hence why it’s not in Live.

Old tinkerer did not affect charge time of powers. Old tinkerer affected addons equipped. It increased all values of an addon by 15% at first and later only the positive values of addons by 10%
30:56 you are both correct and wrong with this. There is in game lore that explains why and how all these characters are in these different places. The entity is a multidimensional cosmic being. It scours through he multiverse collecting people and creatures to part take in the trials. The locations in game are the entity taking form of places that are in the memory of people who are trapped within it.

i havent read the new yui story but i have seen the animation so what i think happens is that when ever a survivor escapes or dies the entity bring a different version of that person from a different time or universe or something like that. Because in the yui story all the dead people were yui and some were old. I might be stretching this but this might explain their cosmetics and if they were pulled from a certain time in their life. What makes me think the is true even more is that Cheryl, the surv from silent hill (SPOILERS) I havent played or watched silent hill but i have watched a timeline about the games and on of the cosmetics for her in dbd is a reincarnation of cheryl or cheryl is a reincarnation of the person in the cosmetic is based off of. It was something like that i think.
It's been confirmed that Licenced characters will be featured in upcoming tomes (with Bill being in the upcoming tome 7), so it is possible that Bubba will get some love, especially since he recently got a new skin.
25:32 Ohmwrecker also has 2 of these cosmetics, however, I own both of them so I'm not sure how exclusive they really are. They are still under the rarity of "artifact" so maybe that means something.
I just got back into the game after playing during a little before the SAW Chapter release up until Ash/Ghostface release and looking back at it, it was probaly the worst time to play DBD: devs didn't know how to handle the competitive side of the game, were more focused on making money and marketing than fixing the game. Shit was wild back then and this iceberg is a good reminder to never trust fully on Beheaviour and the game is what it is today thanks to the community's passion.
The funny thing is, 3RD person killer was actually a thing. The only evidence I have of this is on a video from Garuku Bluemoon where he managed to play killer in third person. Not sure how he managed it, but what I do know is that third person Billy sucks.
Also there is this one plot hole i dont get in hag's back story on her profile it says something like she was born in an old African village near a swamp and was kidnaped by cannibals or something. But in her tome story she's not in an old African village it seems like she's in a more modern place where there are schools and cars. i remember making a reddit post explaining more of the plot holes i dont understand about it so i might try to revisit it.

Actually carl could be a playable character, even if he is dead. When taking people into the entity’s realm/trials the entity can resurrect people. It brought victor back to life after he died when it took him into the trials. The entity can also take people into the realm from different time periods, past, present and future. That’s why we have a modern survivor like Dwight and a killer from ancient times like the plague at the same time. So the entity could take carl into the realm the day before he got killed by ghostface
Minor additional cursed things for the ice berg: Ash leak while the Plague PTB was out, Bill not existing on console for a LONG time and low graphics Dead Dawg PTB was unplayable lol
It takes place in the same multiverse...not universe. Some chapters like Saw, Silent Hill or a Nightmare on Elm Street can be canon others like Ash, Halloween and Stranger Things are different universes of the IP because people like Myers,Steve or Ash are still alive and well in their original timelines.
I'd like to give a slight alternative take to the last one. Us the players, are not the entity. We know who the entity is. The Devs. The devs decide the game, when the game doesn't go the way they want it to, they add or remove things, such as adding in the Entity Blocker after vaulting a window too many times, or changing how items work. The idea actually came from the devs when they introduced Entity Blocker. The players as the characters themselves are more likely, and in some of the mori's cases, it's the Entity granting you the power to have your fun. The Yellow Mori, while it isn't likely to get used, it has the most potential to allow you to please the entity, while the Ebony is more likely to displease. They keep them in the game as an incentive for the killers, and us the players, to enjoy them, not so much the health of the game. "You worked well, the last one is yours." and "Grant me the favour of killing one." for the Yellow and Green respectively, when you bring it, the Devs are rewarding you for catching the last survivor in the game, or if you worked a bit less, you are granted the favour of killing one survivor as long as the Entity has been able to feed off of them now. It used to be a lot different for the Green/Ebony, but the devs changing it from any point (no hooks), to first hook to get some energy from the survivor, to 2nd hook which means the survivor has a lot less energy left for the Entity to consume, you are granted the power to finish them yourself.
what happened with the leatherface chapter was they were unsure they were gonna get noes license so they made the chapter then noes agreed to give them remake freddy so they just cut leatherface content to focus on freddy

The entity is described as a multidimensional being, that can travel to different universes and bringing the contents of said universe into its realm. this is why theres maps and killers based on licensed properties. there not actually all from the same universe, there just brought to the entitys realm

@@tacodude83 That's correct. The temple of Purgation is described as being "lifted from the Plague's memories," and the maps in general are all formed by the Entity from Auric cells. It's why they're all covered in lockers and pallets, and why you can find generators in the middle of a forest or an old western saloon; the Entity being a non-human interdimensional being has no real context on what these places are "supposed" to look like, and so pulls from the memories of the Survivors and killers while filling in the blanks where needed (one example of this is you can find a Coldwind farm cow corpse in Lery's).

Also, Judith's Tombstone does NOT force you to T2 after a single kill. That is the Tombstone Piece (a purple addon), which has no movement speed debuff like the Tombstone. Combining the Tombstone with Fragrant Tuft of Hair allows for infinite moris. Also, Burger King Myers moves at 80% movement speed, which is SLOWER THAN NURSE. He can't even bloodlust because T1 myers can't bloodlust anyone.
Perma T1 myers builds can be freaking terrifying though. Not quite as terrifying as perma mori, but if you're playing for jumpscares it's great.

We did finally get The Teacher. Pyramid Head's power works the same way his would have. Leave something on the ground, survivors step on it, and when you down them you can teleport them somewhere and they'll be trapped for a short time.

People that think this are certainly not aware of what the entity actually is. Like outlined in the observers Arcuses in the Tomes the Entity has access to infinite earth, infinite timelines, this is why the same survivor can exist multiple time in the entitys realm aswell. They are from two different universes since the Entity is a being transcending time and space.
Survivors are not actually immortal. It is revealed in the Benedict Baker journals that the entity feeds on hope, and that survivors weaken as they lose hope. It's never said what happens when someone runs out of hope, but it is said that hundreds have people have gone missing in one location alone, and since we only have a fraction of that I would assume most of the people sent to the entity's realm have been erased. I think that once you run out of hope the entity finishes you off since there is nothing left to gain from you.

I think you should have mentioned one more critical bug. That bug being the loss of progress bug that existed from 2017 to 2018. A lot of people lost all of their progress, and had to start from scratch. You had unlocked the Legacy Prestige outfits? Well, then you were even more unlucky! The devs gave you quite a lot of bloodpoints to level up your characters again, but they never gave out Legacy to those who lost it due to the bug. I'm still mad at them for this...
There's also some more stuff I'd like to add:
9:16 The isn't entirely true. The stunning works the same as in the old days, but the devs decided to change the timing in one update. This changes was received very badly, so they reverted the change.
9:53 - Legacy Prestige: This only exists for the original characters that were availabe at the time. All of the blight outfits from the events seem mimic legacy prestige outfits in a more modern way.
31:00 - All DLCs are connected: All the matches of dbd take place in the Entity's Realm, which is the kind of hell you were talking about earlier. The Entity, which is some kind of dark god, takes the killers or survivors from earth and other places/worlds, which are indicated in some of the Observer's logs. For example, in the trailer for Yui and the Oni, we see how she was captured by the Entity and transported to the Entity's Realm. Because the Entity appears to be some interdimensional being, it has also access to alternate universes where characters like Myers are real. The Entity also takes some of the places where tragedies happened and takes them to its world. We see those places as the maps in the game. So yeah, all dlc's or basically all of the content is connected and canon.

The context for him saying "play something else" was him believing that the person making the complaint was simply burnt out over the game. It's a perfectly reasonable, and honestly recommended thing to do when you are getting frustrated with a game. So many people get stuck in a sunk cost fallacy arguement with themselves thinking "I used to have fun with this game, I don't currently, but I must play because I spend thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars on this game." This is one of the reasons you get communities like League of Legends full of toxic/afkers, they don't want to play the game but they have been for a decade and think they must. The outrage over his comment was incredibly silly if people even paid attention to the situation.

I think it's actually been confirmed that the Entity exists outside all realities, and plucks the occasional killer or survivor from different universes? And the maps are just constructed from the memories it steals from survivors and killers, which is why there's a randomization element. Memories are imperfect, so the Entity has to fill in the gaps
You forgot the bug that hit me the most. Sometimes (too many times) when playing survivor and gets hooked immediately your up and down buttons would flip and the camera control gets super sensitive making it pretty much unplayable.

I'd killed to see a teacher-themed killer. The ruler, the survivor perk and the apple, That would've been so fun to play! Maybe someday we'll see "The Teacher" in a future chapter and I'd want a high school or college themed map and a survivor that would be in high school or college! I'd listen to the menu/chase theme as well!
I am glad you mentioned this, because I think Pyramid Head may actually be The Teacher, repurposed and reskined, once the devs secured the Silent Hill deal or however copyright law works.
The reason I say this is because nothing Pyramid Head does in DbD has precedence in Silent Hill 2 proper. (And the bits that you could make a case for are spoiler-related)
The biggest piece of evidence, for me, is The Teacher's Ruler supposedly being very similar to PH's "Big Knife", and also, I can't help but feel like the Cages of Torment were originally meant to be some kind of "being sent to Detention" type-thing. And the Mori built into PH's kit may have been called "Expelled" at some point.
And of course, Midwich is literally a school, but on the other hand, it could just be a coincidence.

I had the legacy skins for 2 survivors but my account got reset by the glitch that wipes your account (no I did not hack people always ask that, it was a common bug they tell you to backup your account in case) sadly they refused to give me my legacy skins back and instead loaded my account up with 50 million BP which was like 10 million more than I had earned because I was able to P3 an extra 2 characters from before. Still would've rather gotten my legacies back :(

About all DLCs being set in the same universe. I think it makes sense. My theory is the Entity takes people from different timelines while every chapter is set in the same Universe just different years. If you think about it kinda every survivor comes from different times in history.
BUT I think the Silent Hill and Resident Evil chapters might be the only 2 (plus Stranger Things ig) that aren't in the same universe as the others. I think every DLC is Canon to the main Plot, at the end of the day the Entity is a Lovecraftian being who defies any logic so it's plausible the Entity can take people from Different planes of existence, timelines and worlds.

Last Standing is actually able to be cheated into the game and simply had the words “Last Standing” for it’s perk icon. Last Standing was in development Left Behind, being much more busted, hence why it’s not in Live.

Old tinkerer did not affect charge time of powers. Old tinkerer affected addons equipped. It increased all values of an addon by 15% at first and later only the positive values of addons by 10%

It scours through he multiverse collecting people and creatures to part take in the trials. The locations in game are the entity taking form of places that are in the memory of people who are trapped within it.

i havent read the new yui story but i have seen the animation so what i think happens is that when ever a survivor escapes or dies the entity bring a different version of that person from a different time or universe or something like that. Because in the yui story all the dead people were yui and some were old. I might be stretching this but this might explain their cosmetics and if they were pulled from a certain time in their life. It's been confirmed that Licenced characters will be featured in upcoming tomes (with Bill being in the upcoming tome 7), so it is possible that Bubba will get some love, especially since he recently got a new skin.

I just got back into the game after playing during a little before the SAW Chapter release up until Ash/Ghostface release and looking back at it, it was probaly the worst time to play DBD: devs didn't know how to handle the competitive side of the game, were more focused on making money and marketing than fixing the game. Shit was wild back then and this iceberg is a good reminder to never trust fully on Beheaviour and the game is what it is today thanks to the community's passion.
The funny thing is, 3RD person killer was actually a thing. The only evidence I have of this is on a video from Garuku Bluemoon where he managed to play killer in third person. Not sure how he managed it, but what I do know is that third person Billy sucks.
Also there is this one plot hole i dont get in hag's back story on her profile it says something like she was born in an old African village near a swamp and was kidnaped by cannibals or something. But in her tome story she's not in an old African village it seems like she's in a more modern place where there are schools and cars. i remember making a reddit post explaining more of the plot holes i dont understand about it so i might try to revisit it.

Actually carl could be a playable character, even if he is dead. When taking people into the entity’s realm/trials the entity can resurrect people. It brought victor back to life after he died when it took him into the trials. The entity can also take people into the realm from different time periods, past, present and future. That’s why we have a modern survivor like Dwight and a killer from ancient times like the plague at the same time. So the entity could take carl into the realm the day before he got killed by ghostface

It takes place in the same multiverse...not universe. Some chapters like Saw, Silent Hill or a Nightmare on Elm Street can be canon others like Ash, Halloween and Stranger Things are different universes of the IP because people like Myers,Steve or Ash are still alive and well in their original timelines.
I'd like to give a slight alternative take to the last one. Us the players, are not the entity. We know who the entity is. The Devs.
The devs decide the game, when the game doesn't go the way they want it to, they add or remove things, such as adding in the Entity Blocker after vaulting a window too many times, or changing how items work. The idea actually came from the devs when they introduced Entity Blocker.
The players as the characters themselves are more likely, and in some of the mori's cases, it's the Entity granting you the power to have your fun. The Yellow Mori, while it isn't likely to get used, it has the most potential to allow you to please the entity, while the Ebony is more likely to displease. They keep them in the game as an incentive for the killers, and us the players, to enjoy them, not so much the health of the game. "You worked well, the last one is yours." and "Grant me the favour of killing one." for the Yellow and Green respectively, when you bring it, the Devs are rewarding you for catching the last survivor in the game, or if you worked a bit less, you are granted the favour of killing one survivor as long as the Entity has been able to feed off of them now. It used to be a lot different for the Green/Ebony, but the devs changing it from any point (no hooks), to first hook to get some energy from the survivor, to 2nd hook which means the survivor has a lot less energy left for the Entity to consume, you are granted the power to finish them yourself.
what happened with the leatherface chapter was they were unsure they were gonna get noes license so they made the chapter then noes agreed to give them remake freddy so they just cut leatherface content to focus on freddy
