There is a lot of folks thinking that this "DLC" was just a chunk of the original game they cut off to get another $30 for the title. Truth is, I believe it.
It does always look suspicious when you’re given the name(s) of the DLC at or even before launch of a base game. A roadmap is one thing, but in the preorders shattered space was named and included as coming later with the deluxe edition.
I mean that is almost exactly what happened, the DLC completely ignores criticism made about the base game. Also realistically think about how SLOW BGS works, a year for a DLC is lightspeed for them.
I think No Man Sky has something to say about Starfield's claim being the biggest space game ever made. Hell, I feel like Ubisoft's Starlink might still be bigger than Starfield.
And No Man's Sky has had free updates the entire time it has been available. It's just a far better deal for a space exploration game with actually fun planets to explore than Starfield.
I’m genuinely sad Star Field has done so poorly. I really wanted Bethesda to make a great game but I think the fact they have never been able to move on from Skyrim from a developing stand point, has blown up in their face. Maybe they should try making a AA game to test out their creative side again. Capcom’s Kunitsu-Gami Path of the Goddess showed me that they still have the creative magic. Hope Bethesda can find theirs again too
The problem about companies saying “making more money than they earn” is usually them saying they couldn’t give their ceo and leech higher managment massive bonuses so they layoff entire swathes of their company to pay their worthless higher ups. So I don’t trust their honesty when it comes to being “financially sound”
What bugs me is how disjointed and dull the setting is. But after hyping up the "mysterious" House Varunn, they turned out to be the worst of the factions. There's no one memorable or likeable and how it fits into the overall story just doesn't quite make sense.

If a product does not meet expectations or if it is over-priced, then that needs to be called out, otherwise they will continue to push out this garbage.
Compare this DLC to a No Mans Sky Expedition, that comes for free every so many months. The way it introduces a handful of specific planets with a new story and varying new quests

Star Citizen: A 700+ million dollar tech demo. Even if they make their Squadron 42...for 700+ million i'd expect a bit more than what they've accomplished.
I have to share this. I just beat Shattered Space (yes, it’s bad); BUT, just as it ends I struck comedic gold thanks to Bethesda “Magic!” [SPOILER] After putting way too many hours into this stillborn game, I deleted it from my XBOX with my last NG+ being a universe where Andreja killed everybody. So, in honor of that, at the end of the DLC I told the Council to restart the Serpent Crusade. Suddenly, I get messages that “Sam is Angry,” “Sarah is Angry,” etc. I even got a quest to talk to Barret…who’s dead because this is a universe where Andreja killed Constellation. I couldn’t stop laughing!!!
I liked but didn't love Starfield and was hoping that this big DLC that they'd been working on for a year would be transformative to the experience rather than just some new quests. DLC and expansion packs (this one is priced like an expansion pack) are supposed to be where developers can run now that they've learned to crawl, walk, and jog as they've produced a big new game. I'm just really surprised this is all that they've been able to put together in an entire year. I'm thinking of Fallout 4 or Dragon Age Inquisition as comparisons as WRPGs. Both of those games produced three meaty story DLC's along with smaller dlcs in their first year after release.
Will Inside Games report on 343i "shutdown" and a new HALO studio will begin development for the franchise on the Unreal Engine? It's kind of crazy to think how much Microsoft has fumbled the Halo bag over the years. I feel like it'd be an interesting topic for you guys to cover.
In regards to Starfield, I have 1200 hours in it and plan on playing hundreds of hours more. It may not be for everybody, but it's definitely for me. The Only gripe I had was getting my mod order to load, but it was an easy fix
The star citizen work is just for 2 weekends sitting in office chairs. Boo hoo. Lol work 12 hrs a day for 20 days straight and then come back to me and complain
It's easy to understand about star citizen half of what was promised to arrive in 2024 last year wasn't put into the game yet and some stuff promised in 2022 isn't there either. So since they have to show something this year in order to keep this train going SC is still in alpha .. the real news is when this thing will be in beta.

It's incredible how Starfield does nothing as good as No Man's Sky does it
No Man's Sky took about 3 years to get good, let's see how Starfield is going in 2026
Emil needs to be fired and Bethesda needs a massive shakeup.
I hope they make a few improvements when Starfield 2 comes out in 2054
Star Citizen: A 700+ million dollar tech demo. Even if they make their Squadron 42...for 700+ million i'd expect a bit more than what they've accomplished.
I have to share this. I just beat Shattered Space (yes, it’s bad); BUT, just as it ends I struck comedic gold thanks to Bethesda “Magic!”
[SPOILER]
After putting way too many hours into this stillborn game, I deleted it from my XBOX with my last NG+ being a universe where Andreja killed everybody.
My claim to fame will now be that “I never disappoint” 😎
With so many people still playing Skyrim, why not add an official DLC? The cost would be way less, and the return would be way more.
I still can't believe people still defend Starfield.
Take a shot every time “the great serpent” was mentioned & you’re forced to be in a cult.
Will Inside Games report on 343i "shutdown" and a new HALO studio will begin development for the franchise on the Unreal Engine? It's kind of crazy to think how much Microsoft has fumbled the Halo bag over the years. I feel like it'd be an interesting topic for you guys to cover.
Missing a BYTT episode this week boys, why? Did Kassem get abducted by aliens?
You know Chelsea will never let the truth out.
They uploaded a new BYTT minutes after my post. Excellent.
Will Brian garr ever get a mic? The world will never know
In regards to Starfield, I have 1200 hours in it and plan on playing hundreds of hours more. It may not be for everybody, but it's definitely for me.
The Only gripe I had was getting my mod order to load, but it was an easy fix
Does your mod loader include a mod that closes Starfield and opens a different game?
@@danjamesdixon9835 🤷 maybe I just enjoy boring games I can create little worlds in. 🤙🏼
The star citizen work is just for 2 weekends sitting in office chairs. Boo hoo. Lol work 12 hrs a day for 20 days straight and then come back to me and complain
I’m sorry but looking at Steam stats for a GAME PASS DAY ONE RELEASE doesn’t make much sense to me. Why would anyone be playing it on Steam?
i was liking the dlc till i got to the final mission, image cod mp but everybody only had unlimited flash grenades.
It's easy to understand about star citizen half of what was promised to arrive in 2024 last year wasn't put into the game yet and some stuff promised in 2022 isn't there either. So since they have to show something this year in order to keep this train going SC is still in alpha .. the real news is when this thing will be in beta.
With how poorly Starfield is doing I am not looking forward to elder scroll six
