    Nice looking Tundra. I have a 2003 and I just did the 3 inch front and 2 inch back leveling kit. But now I'm looking to do spacers. I'm thinking about doing what you did. The 1 inch front and 2 inch back

      @totheextreme  Рік тому

      Yeah it evens out the tires and makes it look a bit better, just make sure you have clearance to fit them if you have bigger tires.

      @@jamessanders2164 Yeah should have no trouble with spacers then, spacers are gonna make that truck look hella good!

    FYI, t's not towing that brings down the bed height, it's loading the bed. Tongue weight is always less than bed capacity. If you're not loading the bed, you don't need a truck. Curious why you would put a spacer in there instead of a longer spring. The spacer only serves to throw off the suspension. Longer spring gives you more travel

    • @totheextreme
      @totheextreme  11 місяців тому

      The spacer was just a cheaper solution to the issue of the tires rubbing on the fender during sharp turns. I also used the smallest spacer possible to avoid changing suspension geometry too much.

      Ehhhh wrong, and who are you to say who should own a truck?

    Should've just unbolted the sway bar. Once it's disconnected, the lower control arm drops enough to get the strut with spacer in easy.

    I have a 2000 SR5 Tundra with 265/70-17 tires and wheels from a 2020 4Runner I added a couple of years ago. Since adding the 17” set up from the original 16” wheels/tires, the front is now slightly higher than the rear. I had drop shackles installed when I had the 16” set up to lower the rear (which it did about an inch) and plan to remove them with hope the rear will slightly rise and level the truck. 🤞

      @totheextreme  Рік тому

      I think that will help you but if it ends up nosediving a little, the 1" and 2" strut spacers are pretty cheap.

    Dude, just drop the lower ball joint next time… it needs new ones clearly anyhow.

    How does it ride after the leveling kit. Does your wheels with spacers still rubb?
    Think of doing this to my 1st Gen tundra too
    Did you have to go get alignment after?

    • @totheextreme
      @totheextreme  Рік тому

      Does not rub, rides the same, and didn't make the alignment worse even though I still need an allignment.

      So what was the actual spacer? 1” or 2” and what company was it made by. Just bought an 06 Tundra and need to level it. Ty for any assitance

    Great video. Is that a 4wd? I have a 2wd and need 1.5 level spacer but so far have only found 1 or 2". I'm assuming if I go with 2", I'll end up with the front .5in taller right? thank you

    • @totheextreme
      @totheextreme  Рік тому +1

      Yeah it’s a 4wd, and in my experience it was easier to fit the 1” spacer when I did it myself and it’s not as hard on the suspension, but if you go to a shop it’s the same price. And yeah I believe it will be .5” taller in front with 2” spacer.

    Great video, thank you for taking the time to post it!! I have an 06 Access Cab and cant find the black fender flares (like yours) anywhere. Do you have any leads on where I can find them? Thanks in advance.

      The fenders on the tundra right now were stock from the factory so I didn't have to buy them. I did find a set on eBay that fits 03-06 tundras to help you out in your search for some though (link down below)! If this is too expensive, I would suggest going to a local junk yard and taking them off a Tundra that is being parted out. Hope this helps!

    The color of the spacer won't matter if your tires are still rubbing.
