- In this video I show you step by step how to install a leveling kit on a 2000-2006 Toyota Tundra. This is a easy install and if you have the tools and some know how you can use this video to get the job done.
Thank you for watching and don't forget to Sub if your not already and click that bell. Thanks again from K.O.R.H!
Nice work. We didn't have to take off the upper ball joint tho. Just taking off the sway bar mount we were able to fit in the strut with spacer. Prob because it was just was a 2" spacer
thank you man ,,,,,ILL HAVE TO DO SAME ,,WAITING FOR THE PARTS !!!!
Great video.. I have a stock 2wd... Right how the rear is 1.5 taller. How can I get it level? I'm assuming if I add 2" up front then ill be .5higher up front right? thank you
How do you have your tires so far out? Are those standard 17" rims spec wise? No wheel spacers, aftermarket uca's, negative offset rims? 2" spacer and you could run 285/85r17?
2" wheel spacers and yes they are the standard 17's
Do you have any after market control arms or anything. I have a 2000 tundra and the 3 inch leveling kit is making the upper ball joint get jammed between the spring. do you have any solutions besides after market parts. thanks
I didn't have that at all and I think it's stock
Do you use the skid plate with your setup?
No I didn't
@@killeroffroadhobbyz Do you worry that something may cause some damage under there without the skid plate?
@@Methodical2 No
well...this for sure confirms the previous owner of my 03' didn't know wtf they were doing lol...they jammed the lift spacer in betwixt the spring and the top mount...
of course...when i did the struts a few years ago...I just took it apart and put it back together the way i found it...
no wonder it was such a bear to reassemble...all that extra load on the springs...not to mention...it must be putting extra preload on things...
first world problems right?
Glad the video could help
What size level kit did you go with?
3 inch
where did you find smoked headlights for the double cab?
eBay
So I’m guessing it would’ve been simpler to attach a spring compression tool before starting
Yes I don't have one but yes way easier
Which upper control arms do you recommend for a 2003 tundra has more than 5 inches?
To be honest I'm not sure
How do I know if my shock absorbers were improperly installed?
@@marlonjimenez8902 Well in the front if it's not holding you truck up. You can't really mess it up because they can only fit on one way. The front is a strut which means it's a shock with a coil spring on it, the rear would just be a shock.
Any problems ? How does it drive
No problems at all and drives great
This is ok for a pavement princess. If you're planning on doing any real off-roading, this is a bad idea. Use a true coil spring lift. Spacer lifts aren't recommended for heavy off-road (collapse/crack risk). They're fine if you just want a little extra added meat for on-road driving.
This is a 2WD
@@killeroffroadhobbyz So, pavement princess.
@@aaronbrown6266 Sure
What the tires size ?
285x85R17
Where are the jack stands? Safety first.
Jack stands!!!!!! That’s rule number one!! To not have jack stands is a major fail in my book and therefore I do not take you or anything you say seriously.
He used a jack stand.
no one cares if you take him seriously or not landon
