Cyburgs Needle upgraded with SPX 32m

So it was actually the ipad headphone socket that gave up but I decided to take a hammer to the old drivers...remove them and replace with Monacor and baffle step correction....my God. ..these things are incredible. Incredible scale and depth of field and now a well balanced sound. A very worthwhile upgrade

Hello, I've been using my needles with FRS8 from Visaton for a long time and now I'm looking for an upgrade, without breaking the bank. Been searching for drivers with higher sensitivity (visatons are only 82db). Stumbled exactly on these Monacor's and luckily you've used them in the same box. Do you think it worths to upgrade and can you share some info regarding the that baffle step compensation? Thanks

Sorry I didn't back to you sooner. The music is Lars Danielson and I used the baffle step correction recommended in the articles...improves the sound balance hugely. If you have difficulty finding the values for the BSC please let me know and I will post a link

Achilarea5 .56 mH 6.8 uF 6.8 ohms....seems fine to me
