- This recipe shows you how to cook broccoli perfect every time. If you want to find the method to cook outstanding broccoli I will show you the step by step method that I've used over the years to cook broccoli that is flavored and cooked perfectly al dente. The recipe is simple, and the results are not only healthy, but make the perfect side dish to just about any meal.

i make mine relatively similarly: put water in a pot, get it to a rolling boil, add broccoli (it shouldn't be sitting in the water entirely), pot a heavy lid on, or press down a light one and steam broccoli that way for around a minute (to maybe a minute and a half). take it out, pour out water. put pot back on the stove at low to medium high heat, melt some butter in the pot and add the broccoli back to it. now add salt and garlic powder according to taste and let sit for a bit to get rid of excess water on broccoli. serve. yum.

You can tell he's a real chef by how he season's his food. Fake chefs have to pull out measuring tapes & everything just to season food.

Okay here's the deal, people. It's awesome. However instead of going the minute and half I went rogue and pushed on clear up to the full 2 minute mark with the broccoli fully immersed in boiling water. Thanks for the awesome recipe!
