- Hi and welcome back to our channel.
While we were at the Campervan and motorhome show at Shepton Mallet this year, we finally took the plunge and purchased one of these gas hobs.
Hope you enjoy the vlog and Tanks for watching!
Andy and Kim.

I wish I had paitened my idea of a multi gas cartridge holder. I do want too buy one.
Wow 😯 did you have the idea earlier? That’s a shame, I think it’s a great thing. Thanks for watching and the comment. Andy and Kim.
and just subbed, I thought we had subscribed but obviously not 🤦🏻♂️ cheers. Andy.
wow what a nice Camper with such nice windows, so much light.
awww, thank you, we do love it and yes, a nice and bright yet warming van, thanks. Andy and Kim.
Hi. Looks good could cook lots on it. Steak, gammon, burgers. Great. Thankyou. Alison. X
We intend to, although Kim is not saying with the autumn on us and winter fast approaching that we won’t use it now! I say we will for sure!
I love gammon and Kim prefers steak so a win win 😁
Thanks for watching and commenting. Andy and Kim
@@tanksontour . You will. Get some nice winter days. Good seeing you both. X
Thank for your cooking ideas … greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
and thank you for the lovely comment. We were just talking the other day about where people are when watching our vlogs! Cheers 🍻 Andy and Kim.
Great vlog, we are seriously thinking of getting one ☺️☺️
Kim says they’re a Cadac game changer! She wants to get rid of my Safari chef 😮 - I don’t think you have that issue? Did Rob throw your old one out?
I have to say, the non stick certainly feels better than the normal cadac non stick. Tanks for watching 👍
Andy and Kim.
Thank you fellow Camper - just subscribed!!! Going to buy one of them but I am going to attach the hose to the Campervan (onboard LPG tank). Thanks for the video.
Hey, welcome aboard and thanks.
We have the external connection for the van gas too, this will work equally as well with your way, sharing the onboard gas supply is perfect, especially if you have a refillable system. We hope you enjoy this system.
Andy and Kim.
Thanks for the review, I’ve been looking at these, you got it for a bloody good price! Most places are £140-150 with the plates etc 👍
Glad you enjoyed it, yes, I’ve been seeing prices on adverts popping up (good old cookies) and seeing them at those prices.
Thanks for watching and the comment. Andy and Kim
Was looking at one of these since you did this video but played the waiting game to see if price came down. Just ordered one from Granthams website for £124 including delivery so happy with that. Thanks for helping me make up my mind.
Wow, what a bargain. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Andy and Kim.
Got a Campingaz Partygrill 400 so going to try your genius simple legs hack tomorrow, just thinner pipe needed and then this gives space for the Cadac 2 Cook 3 Pro Deluxe on my kitchen table.
Sounds great, it would be great to see the legs on a different grill, clearing space for the new cadac too 🙌 thanks again, Andy.

Love a cooking vlog 👍
Mmmmmm 🤤
Yes, that does look good, never seen that before. I won't even mention black pudding. Is that a thing in Weymouth?! You've obviously got northern roots...
Black poooooding? Said in a Yorkshire accent 😂 - good old ecky-thump. I love black pudding and we both like white pudding too, definitely a southern thing for us 😉
Oh, the 2cook3 is possibly a Safari chef killer, although you can’t barbecue on it. I just need to create a way of raising this off the ground now to save table space.
11:35 now THAT'S breakfast music! :D
Can’t beat a bit of sizzling eh! 🤤 thanks for watching and commenting. Andy and Kim.
Good evening mr & mrs tank hope your both well we've just bought one to but yet to try out very impressed what you can fit on the plates very slim line and less weight than are carrie chef 2 👌
Nice one Paul, I’m sure you’ll love it and thanks for watching. We are both well thank you, hope you are too.
As you say it’s slimline so storage for travel in the caravan for us seems more convenient than the Safari chef 2 we have. A weight saver for you too. Hope you get to try yours soon.
Cheers. Andy and kim.
See you picked up 1 new follower from the weekend lol. Great to meet you both Paul/ Sarah. I want this cadac I have the safari chef. Where did you get the gas cable from?
@@paulpowell1259 hi Paul & Sarah. Thanks for watching and the follow, I (Andy) love my safari chef for the BBQ side of cooking, Kim is a dab hand at cooking on this as you have seen.
The gas cable, I presume you mean the pipe that connects the gas Power Pak to the grill, came with the Power Pak. Basically what you get with both items is everything you will need (plus the gas of course). If you need any other help or you have more questions, just ask. Cheers, Andy.
What are those little pans you cooked the eggs and beans in called? Just about to buy one of those gas stoves but I think I’ll just buy a 5kg tank instead of that adapter.
Found them Cadac tapas set 👍
@@RogerByrne Hi Roger, don’t forget the regulator if you get some sort of other tank 😉
The pans are the Cadac Tapas pans - link here - www.keengardener.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=Tapas - not sponsored BTW but the cheapest we found online. Hope this helps and thanks for watching and commenting. Andy and Kim.
My cadaver came supplied with a fixed male iron outlet, I had to cut the end off the hose supplied and fix the female socket using a jubilee clip. Tried to contact the supplier Webb’s Outdoors, before I did this alteration but they were useless. The other problem I had was lack of gas pressure from the three gas bottles, I had to inset pound coins between the bottom of the gas bottles and the outer case in order to put enough pressure to allow the gas to work.
Can’t comment on the fitting part but….
The pressure issue? You have opened the gas valve to fully open when using the power pak?
Sorry I can’t help any further.
Andy.
Very useful thanks! How long does the trio last?
Hi and thanks for watching/commenting.
Great question, we're not 100% sure yet as this is new to us. However we have used these little gas cylinders before on a little single gas ring (one of those suitcase hobs) and found a good couple of hours each. So I'd say 3 cylinders in these power packs would possibly last a whole week of camping? Obviously, very much dependent of use.
I hope this is useful, I was dubious of this pack but the sheer flexibility and simplicity for us is perfect. I hope to use this on other products, like our pizza oven...
Thanks again, Andy and Kim.
😂 very funny 😂
Thank you
Looks a tidy bit of kit... Recommend over BBQ type cadac??
Hi D n R. I’d say you can’t beat the taste of a bbq so for that I’d say no. However for general outdoor cooking and for the limited time we’ve had and used this, I’d say yes. For us with the Safari Chef 2, this is more versatile. If you’re unsure I’d say stick with what you have, if you feel that you need more flexibility then get one - this is the pro deluxe - and the show price would appear to be a great price at £119.
Cheers. Andy and Kim.
@@tanksontour thanks both, hope to catch up soon 🤗
@@WattsOccurring oh yes will do 100%
where di you buy the "powerpack" that takes the 3 gas bottles, I've tried searching the net but can't find it. Thanks
Hi I think the issue is with the spelling, you’re correct in thinking pack but actually it’s pak - here’s an Amazon link to help you search and find what you’re after. Thanks for watching and asking. Andy.

Looking at getting one of these and also where did u get the dishes for eggs and beans thanks
Hi Neil. I don’t think you’ll go wrong with one of these. I was put off Cadac non stick quality around 20 years ago until recently we got the safari chef and I’m happy again with their quality now. These plates on this hob feel and look good, of course, still early days but we’re happy with it.
The little pans for eggs and beans are ‘tapas’ pans link here - www.cadacuk.com/product/tapas-set-ceramic/ - do shop around, I think we paid £20 at a NEC show.
I hope all this helps and ask away for anything else you may want to know.
Thanks for watching and the question. Andy and Kim.
Hi again.
Here is an Amazon affiliates link to the tapas tins - amzn.to/3wMNsFk - currently £20.55 and free delivery if you are an Amazon Prime member. ATB Andy.
White pudding is also good on a BBQ 🙂
Just need to find it, eh? 😂
Hi, do you leave it outside ? Just wondering how it weathers, as I have a carrier chef 2 that has a cover cheers
Hi. We’ve only just recently purchased this and used it the once, we don’t have a cover for it and probably won’t leave it outside, unless in an awning (does that count?). We do have a cover for our Safari chef 2 and do leave that outside (not in an awning).
We will keep an eye out for a cover though and may get one and try it outside.
Thanks for the comment/question.
Andy and Kim.
….. I would add that I feel the non stick coating appears to be different (maybe better?) than our Safari chef 2 🤷🏻♂️
Hi, I noticed you have the Outwell Revolution 6 DLX can I ask what you think of it there's not much if any reviews of it
Hi Adam. Thanks for watching and the question. We’ve only used it a couple of times so far.
The plus points…
It’s a lovely outside space, will ‘house’ 8 adults for dinner, it’s quick to setup and put away.
The not-so plus points…
Condensation inside can cause dripping onto chairs/tables inside, if it’s windy the roof will pop down, only the one entrance*.
Do we like it, yes. The other choice is the Quest Screenhouse 6, this will also pop down in strong winds, the Quest version fabric isn’t as waterproof as the OR, the Quest version has 2 entrances.
I’ll see if I can do a vlog later when we use it again.
Cheers, Andy and Kim.
@@tanksontour Thanks for taking the time to reply. I've looked at the Quest ones also and noted two entrances plus they do a tunnel section to link to a awning rail if needed. Didn't know the Quest isn't as waterproof though so thanks for letting me know. Look forward to a possible video on the OR
@@adsandjacs you’re welcome. We do try to reply as soon as possible. The OR has a hydrostatic head of 4000mm, the Quest is 2000mm, both waterproof and both probably good enough for most weather, I’m not 100% sure what these figures would mean with rainfall as the measurement is made with a column of water (I think).
The connecting piece for the Quest, as I believe, is for a camper van (VW etc.) and probably not for a motorhome or caravan. Unsure what you have.
Many thanks for the sub btw 👍
Andy.
Your making me hungry 😅
I hope that’s a good thing? 😉 thanks for commenting and watching, cheers. Andy and Kim.
