    We've got an update regarding the rated BTU's for this stove.
    Dometic claim each burner to have 6850 BTU, or just under 14000 BTU for both burners.

      Hi Ben, how would you rate this against the Coleman Peak1 -2 Burner stove?

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  9 місяців тому

      @@jocksyinoz in terms of build quality and performance they are comparable, Coleman's stove claims a higher BTU and has a simple and robust build. The Cadac stove on the other hand offers more versatility as it comes complete with griddle plates, pot supports and a coffee stand. The Cadac stove also has a lid which will add extra wind protection but all of these features mean a little more mucking around when setting your stove up compared to the Colemen Peak 1.
      Long story short, if you want versatility straight out of the box go with the Cadac, if you want simplicity go with the Coleman Peak 1.
      Hope that helps.

      Can you confirm this definitely comes with the gas pipe regulator ? I watched another unboxing of this stove & it didn't come with it...

    I just came back from a camping trip and had bought this store for that purpose. We live in the UK and we have the CADAC version, as you said its identical except ours didn't come with a hose, instead it had quick release fittings.
    We used it for a week and we absolutely love it, the ceramic hot plate is excellent, easy to clean, I don't think i'll use the griddle pan so much.
    The burners are, for me, powerful enough that I only used half power to cook sausages as they would burn too quickly at full power. Boiling water is also adequately fast for a dual stove. And, it makes great toast on the flat hot plate so no need for a grill or camping toaster.
    It's not cheap at £150 but so worth it, we returned a campingaz stove back to Amazon because the build quality wasn't so good despite the £60 ticket price. The top cover was warped and the metal clasp lock was bent out of the box,
    If you can, spend a bit more I think it's worth it.
    My only issues with it are when using it with a 10" frying pan the gas control dial got a bit hot and the piezo ignitor requires you to hold the cooker from moving back when igniting the burner.
    I'd also love buy some square glass lids for the hot plate too but none are available.
    The burners are 2.2KW each if I'm not mistaken.

      Thats awesome feedback! There are square pots available around the place, like SmartSpace brand for example - I wonder if you could purchase replacement lids for those to use instead?

    Hey mate killer walk through. I think you guys need to chuck an array of medium to large pots on the stove reviews to give an idea of sizing for the viewers.
    Ive never had much luck with non stick bbq stuff in the camp kit, always seem to lose its effectiveness over time. Are the two pans a replaceable unit if a spare is required?
    Cool video, wish there was a snowys in WA, you guys seem to have it all and dont peddle own brand stuff like xtm/wanderer at bcf, or spinifex at anaconda ect.

    Thanks guys, such a well presented and informative video. I'd like to use this stove with threaded cartridges to save transporting large bottles of fuel. Do you think threaded cartridges will provide enough power?

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  9 місяців тому

      Not sure what specifically you're referring to about threaded cartridges, but this stove connects to LCC27 gas cylinders only. As long as you have the LCC27 connection on your chosen LPG source you'll be fine. The gas consumption rate is 294 g/hr, so that should give you some info to work out how long they will fuel your stove.

      @@SnowysOutdoors Thanks Lauren. Cadac sell an EN417 regulator for use with small camping gas cartridges rather than large cylinders.

    One question will it fit two large pans side by side?

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  11 місяців тому

      Depends on the size, but given the width if a little over 50cm you could fit two 25cm pans comfortably, if you take the little wings off the sides you can fit even bigger pans. ~ Ben

      I think you may be fine with it, the carry bag is quite strong and durable and whatever you don't use you can keep in the bag. I tend to misplace and lose stuff all the time, I managed to not lose anything from the CADAC though. But then, this is the top end version they sell with all the bells and whistles.
