MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is the third hospital within MedStar Health to earn Comprehensive Stroke Center designation, following both MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Designation as a Comprehensive Stroke Center means the highest, most complex level of stroke care is available for patients, provided by a skilled multidisciplinary team including neurosurgeons, neurologists, stroke specialists, emergency medicine specialists, and rehabilitation therapists.
