Not only Code-V, there are a lot of talented Kpop groups that are so underrated namely U-Kiss, Boyfriend, nu'est, Supernova, DGNA, SHU-I (that have peacefully disbanded sobs), Apeace, L.A.U, Hotshot, OFFROAD, and so much more

The problem with internet kpop fans is that they think they know what True TALENT is because they watch shit on youtube. They actually never had a job or understand what it takes to be a trainee.
A big problem for Code-V was when they did an interview in Japan and the interviewer kept bringing DBSK because they started the K-Wave across their and comparing Sol to Jaejoong. The band said they respect DBSK but wanted to show fans their own colours/talents. A lot of news sites including allkpoop and soompi started bashing them, saying they were comparing themselves to DBSK and being cocky without actually reading the translated interview. Then lots of people started hating them, including casseopias and started making horrid comments and wishing death on them etc. It really injured their career in Korea. Then there was the Jaewon scandal in which is ex lied about many things and forced him to leave the group. They deserve so much better
Its so sad how their fellow musicians didn't even recognize them despite Code-V releasing couple of albums and promoting in Korea before going to Japan.
Well they first debut in Korea back in 2010 but didn't really gain any recognition until they went to Japan so it makes sense why Korea wouldn't really know them (because they've been promoting in Japan for 6 years)

Code-V!!! I got such a shock to see Nalaw in the thumbnail for a Korean show omg, I had to double-take. So glad that he's getting a bit of recognition again, as well as the group. It's a bit sad that Sol is still in the military, but I really recommend everyone check out their acapella performances. They're all amazing singers (the two younger/newer members aren't as good, but they'll get there). They've been doing so well in Japan but it's sad to think that they had to go overseas to become popular ... I got a bit emotional seeing this cut.

I think the missing one is Sol(김솔), leader of CODE-V. He has been fulfilling his mandatory military service since 2015. According to the information from the Internet, Jaewon has left the group since March 28th 2013.
to add, when Code-V originally debuted on 2010 as 5 the members were Taemin, Sangwoo, Nalaw, Sol, and Jaewon. a bit after their debut their oldest member Taemin decided to leave and Rui was added. in 2011 they came back with a full album Honestly (listen to Summer Love and Miracle it's amazing!) in the same year, they debuted in Japan with Addiction Japanese Ver. and a year later released a new Japanese song. on 2013, scandal of Jaewon broke out and he left the group. the group continued to promote as 4. on 2014, the 3 '86er Sangwoo, Nalaw, and Rui had to do their mandatory military service. and so they added 2 new young members, Woosik ('91) and Taehoon ('97). Code-V promoted as 3 for the rest of 2014. on 2015, the '87er Sol had to do his mandatory military service, leaving Code-V as a duo for the rest of 2015 (and how active they were.. they released 3 singles and 1 album!) by 2016, Sangwoo, Nalaw, and Rui had finished their services and Code-V is now a five member-ed group :)

yeah they're currently having free time while having some fanmeet and showcase schedules in Japan. their latest release is Oh My Girl last March. they aren't back in Korea yet because the company they were in got bankrupt and so their old agency Xing ent (also houses Apeace) took them in and they decided to comeback in Japan for now
The first Idol group to visit this show....loved how Leetuk flaunted that he's only been in First place on the Orion chart in Japan during this episode...sad that Davinchi didn't choose Code V....even I knew he had an Idol vibe to him....honestly didn't know Code V was still active since they were overshadowed by a lot of power housed KPOP groups back in the 2000's. I hope this will bring them some exposure to stages back in their homeland! They're getting big again after so many years! Stay strong Code V!
They sing and perform great. I am very thankful and grateful to their loyal Japanese fans for sticking with them all of this time. It is very sad and heart breaking when a group is this good and disband because they do not receive their fans’ support until the very end.

I can't imagine how they must feel, despite the booming success they have in Japan. They are korean and they were formed in seoul...not being recognised by them must hurt no matter what. As an artist at least, but also them not knowing if they are korean or not. I mean okay he DID talk japanese to Kangnam and he said he sounded totally japanese as well. Maybe im overthinking this but if I were in their shoes I'd be hurt being seen as a stranger in my own country. I know them of course... i still had their mv and mp3 inside laptop but tbh yup they are not actived at korea and more to japan and time to time a lot of new group coming up and after that i never heard any news about them. Suddenly when i saw name code-v i think i heard this group name somewhere...And i open my laptop and open my old kpop mv file and yup code-v mv is there.... seriously i thought they disband already. Now i want to find back my old memory and continue support them.

I liked Davichi because I think their voices were really beautiful, it transcends the language barrier. But after watching this episode and hearing their assessment of the different guests, I find them to be shallow and cliched. I was really disappointed. It being an entertainment is a given. It's in how they are judged and what the celebrity say about them I am pertaining to. I understand Korean standard of beauty. It's just disappointingly shallow. There are a lot of cases where facial structures has nothing to do with singing ability. Watch the whole episode and see how everybody was appraised.

OMG I forgot all about them. I was totally into this song back when it first released but then they fell off the Kpop scene so I thought they disbanded like the many other groups from back in the day that didn't explode into popularity. Good on them for finding success in Japan and hopefully with this show they'll regain some attention so they can release something in Korea.

yeah they're currently having free time while having some fanmeet and showcase schedules in Japan. their latest release is Oh My Girl last March. they aren't back in Korea yet because the company they were in got bankrupt and so their old agency Xing ent (also houses Apeace) took them in and they decided to comeback in Japan for now

The first Idol group to visit this show....loved how Leetuk flaunted that he's only been in First place on the Orion chart in Japan during this episode...sad that Davinchi didn't choose Code V....even I knew he had an Idol vibe to him....honestly didn't know Code V was still active since they were overshadowed by a lot of power housed KPOP groups back in the 2000's. I hope this will bring them some exposure to stages back in their homeland! They're getting big again after so many years! Stay strong Code V!

I can't imagine how they must feel, despite the booming success they have in Japan. They are korean and they were formed in seoul...not being recognised by them must hurt no matter what. As an artist at least, but also them not knowing if they are korean or not. I mean okay he DID talk japanese to Kangnam and he said he sounded totally japanese as well. Maybe im overthinking this but if I were in their shoes I'd be hurt being seen as a stranger in my own country. What got me most was Naro saying "We performed on so many stages but the one we REALLY want to perfom on is a korean one, I want to be famous like Kangnam." It get's to you man Q_Q

ooo five members during this performance. so their wiki says four but it would be six if you included the two on hiatus, rui and sol. i only know that taehoon, woosik, nalaw, and sangwoo are performing. they debuted in 2007 in japan and kept going on hiatus due to their success rate dropping. hopefully they’ll come back in korea and have a greater impact?

I know them of course... i still had their mv and mp3 inside laptop but tbh yup they are not actived at korea and more to japan and time to time a lot of new group coming up and after that i never heard any news about them. Suddenly when i saw name code-v i think i heard this group name somewhere...And i open my laptop and open my old kpop mv file and yup code-v mv is there.... seriously i thought they disband already. Now i want to find back my old memory and continue support them.

I liked Davichi because I think their voices were really beautiful, it transcends the language barrier. But after watching this episode and hearing their assessment of the different guests, I find them to be shallow and cliched. I was really disappointed. "Don't judge the book by it's cover" is I think the appropriate description for this particular episode. :(
Lyn Mendoza bc this show is for entertainment, a lot of people hide their talent pretty good. A lot of participants are really beautiful and their lipsynn is so good. How can the singer predict perfectly?
It being an entertainment is a given. It's in how they are judged and what the celebrity say about them I am pertaining to. I understand Korean standard of beauty. It's just disappointingly shallow. There are a lot of cases where facial structures has nothing to do with singing ability. Watch the whole episode and see how everybody was appraised.

OMG I forgot all about them. I was totally into this song back when it first released but then they fell off the Kpop scene so I thought they disbanded like the many other groups from back in the day that didn't explode into popularity. Good on them for finding success in Japan and hopefully with this show they'll regain some attention so they can release something in Korea.
