But there are so many i have seen trainees or ex trainees who said they almost became EXO member. But thats not true bcoz during that time there were almost 150 trainees which were under sm and was competiting with each other for the line up. Being a trainee at that time and being a part of the debut line up (like johnny from nct) is different. Johnny actually backed up after bcoz he wanted to train more or else he would have been EXO's maknae as he is younger than sehun.

2.High competition, can't think, he could replace any Exo members even that time. Jonny is exceptional
3.Only ChenBeak can debut quickly in the dream group like EXO.you need to be like best of best for that.
4.After getting scouted, there is the big struggle to be a good trainee even famous SM trainee didn’t get to debut for years, he didn’t want to hopelessly wait for his turn, didn’t want to do the hardest part, and surely his parents were uncertain about debut too.

He said 2016, but EXO debuted in 2012. He could say he was offered to be in EXO, yes. But even the latest members (Jongdae and Baekhyun) to be introduced went through tight auditions. Then there's also Johnny who trained with Kai, Sehun, Suho for 4 years but didn't debut with them but had to wait to be debuted in NCT. There were other trainees as well who didn't get to debut with EXO. You could say it just wasn't his time yet

hes good tbh, but when i think of it kpop power house like EXO have almost 200 trainee that want to compete to get place in EXO. And this shows that the member that already debut( ex-member included) are shining more than 187 other trainees in terms of visuals and vocals. Love EXO FOREVER~
