The thing is, the popularity of idols depends on how their company promote them. Let me give you an example. Look at ukiss. Each and every members (who are still in the group or already left) are all talented but didn't get much attention because nh media sucks at promoting them. During manmanhani era, they got some recognition from korean but instead of promoting them in korea, nh media send them to japan. They lost majority of their fans at that time.
