The best thing about Liam is he doesn’t have a classic singing voice, he has a very anecdotal sound that he has certainly cashed in on. He sounds amazing.
Makes it so sad thinking how much Taylor would be buzzing to play with any of the acts on the day, what a tribute concert! For a man who just loved rock and roll.

Me and my wife were only a few metres to the right for this whole gig. We waited for hours to get to the front and we had many a beers. When liam came on and played rock and roll star it was immense and we were going crazy singing along. It wasn't until half way we realised that Dave was playing drums when we did realise we absolutely lost it. one of the best live moments I've had in 15 years of festivals and gigging. RIP taylor hawkins we were the ones in the crowd living it large in your memory

This is just so amazing. Dave and Taylor loved Oasis and revered Liam and Noel. The fact that Dave got behind the kit and obviously had the band learn Liam’s songs inside out to celebrate Taylor’s love for Oasis just busts me up. They did such a great job: solos, rhythm, bass and of course the Thunder from Dave.

Noel actually explains why in their little documentary/ people my age (43 down to maybe 38) were the last to come of age pre Internet and pre celebrity culture…38 is probably a bit too young even. I was 13-15 when Nirvana, 2Pac, Alanis et al came blasting into superstardom… there hasn’t been much action since 97-2000. Maybe Seven Nation Army might be the last great rock anthem. Rap is dog sht now. Has been since about 2003…
5:16 amazing what even a slightly different approach to drumming can give the whole tune a new feel/groove. I was waiting for Dave to through in some sped-up fills. "aw, just ONCE Dave..."

The Foos know how good Oasis was. Liam can’t growl like he use to but he’s still a legend. Oasis was very punk inspired w classic rock and pop vibes. Noel is an impeccable songwriter. The Foos love Oasis and so do I! RIP TH!

I think Dave Ghrol's drumming elevated Rock and Roll Star to a next level, though Live Forever was too fast for Liam he was out of breath he usually sings the song in a slower tempo, I hope he can go back running after his double hip replacement and lose weight and gain lung capacity back. It was a great concert though, I loved it.

I was probably half way into Rock n Roll Star when it suddenly hit me that the guitars sounded way too good, with hard left-right panning, to be audio from the video recording! Guessing the audio is from the broadcast. Nice! Could by better synched, but I appreciate it, especially since this performance is missing from the Paramount+ playback. 😞

It sounds great, but if you don't think Oasis had their own massive sound, you never heard them live. They were louder than many metal bands.
I had no clue this ever happened, Foo Fighters with freaking Liam Gallagher!!! And Liam is in super condition and not wasted - amazing!
