I just finished playing the campaign and I love it. Gears of War 4 is a must buy if you have Xbox One or Windows 10, even if you've never played a Gears of War game before. The prologue does a great job of catching players up on the story so far and from there its easy to follow what's going on. Now its on the Horde mode!
Dâniël Rodriguez if you do get Xbox make sure you play the other gears games trust me you'll thank me unless your in to for multiplayer and horde mode then no but campaign yes
gears of war 4 is simple amazing I got the ultimate edition and I haven't been able to put it down. The story is really good whit a lot of moment that had me like "oh shit what do i do know?" when i would get over-run. As well as many situation where i found myself needed to make every shot count since ammo was scarce. The multiplayer is nothing short of a master piece my only complain is the shock enforcer when it's active it can mow you down like nothing close range. Haven't played much horde yet, but you do need a team for it and have sort of a strategy no longer just brute force which leads to hours of fun.
I have a PS4, and I bought an Xbox one just for the halo series, and the gears of war series, and I don't regret it one bit. Growing up, going over to mates houses playing halo 3 online and gears of war horde, nothing beats it.
dhruv dhariwal 4 years on, sold the ps4 and bought Xbox series x, and a gaming PC. I prefer the Xbox over ps for ease of use, and rarely play the PC. The ps exclusives are nice. But everything is more refined on the Xbox, whether it’s going through the dashboard or achievement hunting. Everything is much more assessable and easier on the Xbox. Ps is a good console, but having a ps3 in the 360 era and having a ps4 start of last gen. To having the series x now. I wouldn’t go back
Because some players like to skip the earning of items part of a game and would rather just throw disposable income at it. There's also the fact that the only time these pack effect Gameplay is the class skill cards for the hoard classes.
because wealthy rich folks, celebrities, busy parents asked for this. They're always on the road, with not enough time to play, busy here and there, kids are up. My boy barely has enough to time to chill, imagine at home to play. It's easier for them to invest on upgrades and easy boost packs for their profiles to be on level with other gamers that play for longer periods of time. I don't know, i just made that up. GREED BITCHES!!!
I don't see why people are complaining that much about the Gear Packs, Gears of War 3 had a bunch of purchasable items. Overall I love GoW 4, the story set the pace for the future of Gears, the multiplayer is great as usual, horde is great, only problem I think so far is that people should be allowed to connect to a game mid way through because a lot of people quit after about round 20 and usually it weakens the team. I like the gear packs and can't wait to see how it pans out, it feels like Gears and it's not a crappy reboot
One time I borrowed the Xbox 360 from a friend of mine. I played Halo 3 and honestly I wasn't impressed. It was fine but nothing special. I then played gears of war 3 and I freaking loved it. Gears of war is pretty much the only xbox game I'm sad never got a playstation release. Sad that i'm not gonna play this game.
Hey wanna hear something fun :D? The whole PC masterrace was coined by a reviewer called ben Yahtzee Crosshaw. But here's the kicker, he meant it as an insult. And i qoute: It was intended to be ironic, to illustrate what I perceived at the time to be an elitist attitude among a certain kind of PC gamer. People who invest in expensive gaming PCs and continually spend money to make sure the tech in their brightly-lit tower cases is up to date. Who actually prefer games that are temperamental to get running and that have complicated keyboard interfaces, just because it discourages new or 'casual' players who will in some way taint the entire community with their presence. I meant it as a dig. - Ben Yahtzee crosshaw Even to this day he mocks PC gamers for their elitism but elitist with their heads up their butts are either to stupid or have too much of an ego to notice this. I know PC's have much higher output than consoles and steam makes things allot cheaper. I grew up on my PlayStation and I love it and don't need anything else. If you honestly wanna mock me for it go right ahead.
I liked the story, even if it did end on an annoying cliffhanger. Still, they probably spent a bit too long having us fight the robots. Only the flying ones with shields really felt interesting, all the other machines just felt like the game was taking it easy on me regardless of what difficulty I had set it on.
gameranx you forgot to mention that the whole game is split screen, not just the campaign. Split screen works for all modes from online versus to horde mode, the only difference in online versus is that the frame rate isn't 60fps it's 30fps when playing split screen, trust me it isn't a big deal in frame rate me and my little brother were able to play just fine. Also it's a grind trying to earn coins in this game but that's just me, idk how other people are doing
Well done. This Gears does feel different, a little faster in multiplayer. I like that you can now change your dead zone, got used to that from playing Halo 5. I haven't finished the campaign yet but I agree it looks very beautiful and so far it's alright. I was excited for this to come out, I pre-ordered it. Glad to see it hasn't strayed to far from the previous games.
In a way it is, but in the end it still feels like a gears game with tons of guts and glory. The campaign is not as epic as 3, but it is reminiscent of part 1'scampaign. It's fun but left you wanted a bit more which Gears 2 did fulfill but just later on. For multi-player and horde it is a blast. My only criticism is campaign.
I used to watch your videos just for your before you buy videos and I was planning on getting this game and I like how your gameplay doesn't spoil anything I subscribed.
Last act of the campaign and I was expecting a big build up for a war but it's personal. GoW is my favorite franchise I went into this negatively but now I love it. Judgement left a sour taste but this is GoW plus GoW3 multiplayer together it's perfect can't wait for 5. Plus the coalition said they'll add 2 new maps each month for a year so it's lit.
why were you expecting a war its the first game in the new trilogy you barely know the swarm and still we dont know if the cog is going to help or keep hunting them down
Puppet Masta the campaign was ehh in my opinion but I see why people would like it but as a gears game I didn't. The multiplayer was terrible and led me to play gears 3 more instead.
+BlazerManiacNumber96 It's actually a huge Cliffhanger... Like some of these questions . what happened to Settlement 2?Why are they making the COG look bad??Where is Clayton CARMINE??Did the 4th brother Of the Carmine brothers actually Died??Is it the End of the Carmine bloodline???What happened to Anya Stroud??How'd she die??The Swarm??Perhaps Locust 2.0 but with a twist??Or perhaps not???Baird and Cole at the End??well..near the end..Sam in Chopper??is this heaven??probably not..Why didn't we see Cole in action??when will Cole trashtalk some of these Fuckers??Baird is now Bald??huh...Riding Mechs but noe too short??Doing a Boss Fight which is also too short??They found what they were lookin for...But in the end died???There's a necklace(i dunno) that she gave that's a symbol for the Locust Horde..THE LOCUST HORDE???What???What about the Swarm??what's gonna happen next??did all the fighting seems to be meaningless coz in the end the Mother died??we fought tryin to save someone but she died??Is there gonna be a GoW 5??And all our questions will be answered and then topped of with new questions?? . So tell me....how is this not a Cliffhanher??
Talden Vader its a small cliff hanger. Clayton (If true) died in a bathtub. not 100% sure if new carmine is a brother or son. the rest of what you said is nonsense except the end of course theres gunna be a gears Five. Queen Myyrah is the Mother of Reyna and oscer and GrandMother of Kait. Swarm IS Locust 2.0 because Locust have always been human (Read comics and books. and gears 2 shows the test subjects) after adams device went off, Locust Bodys went into a stand by form to fight off the device from killing the ilmusion cells
"speaking of graphic lets talk about multiplayer?" well lets talk about it while i'm eating my sandwich. speaking of sandwich, dont you think mom's spaghetti is just the best?
I've been a fan since the first Gears of War and I'm actually looking forward to the new weapons, I think it'll help bring in a higher amount of new players which will be good for success if the game. I also would agree that GoW4's story feels more like a new fresh beginning that'll hopefully lead to a more bigger and exciting story conflict.
this is my favorite game so far that has been released on Xbox one. I wasn't a fan if the card system at first but grew to like it. Also I thought the campaign was great. Everything was just great to me. I liked it more than gears 3 and 2. Not sure if it beats the first one though. This game is actually the reason I bought an xbox one. I had stopped gaming for a long time.
Brandon Epperson but try playing it offline wait what no offline the game will not live long when Microsoft or your internet goes out horde won't won't work game over the game will not live long they need to fix this spread the word
I played gears a couple times, had all of them because of games with gold, but I never got into them. then I picked this up on black Friday played a couple games of multiplayer...long story short I'm in the middle of gears 2 campaign and working my way to 4 because this is probably one of the best series I've found in a long long time. it grabbed me and made me want to play it, which hasn't happened since the arkham series. This has quickly become one if my favorite games.
just barley picked it up. lol. i was on ps4 for 3 years. but now im back to xb1 s. n im loving it over boreing ps4. gow 4 installing so im tha am im playing
I'm a fan of Gears of War for over 9 years, and I've been waiting for this game for a very long time. I personally don't pre order anymore but this was a huge exception, the campaign was alright for me,but I would've loved too ply as Marcus more and maybe having more of the regular gears cast make more than one cameo. I think your right jake, this feels like a soft reboot leading up too another trilogy,I won't spoil the ending for anyone else but all I can say it needed "more". Rod ferguson promised that there'd be no patches and everything was ready too go if you pre ordered digitally, however there have been problems, for me and my friends. Like being dropped or kicked from random matches, especially core tdm, than all the in game bonuses/boxes never rewarded us properly, and codes also didn't work which prompted us too reach out too the coalition. Some mp matches had a few problems with hit detection, point blanking enemy teams with an active gnasher, lancer, map weopons. Playing with friends was the ultimate fun part!,especially horde, manning the turrets was awesome, and some of the weapon skins were cool. Not a fan of the supply drops/cases,feels too much like CoD,especially Bo3,the problem there in Bo3 the supply drop system is completely random ,so no matter if you buy a common or rare supply drop, there was no guarantee you would get any good, however you do have the ability too purchase some characters and skins which is a definite plus.
I dont like the new enemies at all. Horde mode is also disappointing because after wave 10 it repeats itself with the same enemies. And for the whole game you are stuck in one location set up with turrets that outperform everything else.
Man, I played the part with the tornado at SDCC and thought the environment was cool, but I LOVE seeing all the trees and stuff in this video. Pretty awesome. I'm powering through 1-3 and I love them.
SSJ Carl Carmine is in the game. You're an idiot. Even if it was ignored you wont but a game with great multiplayer, quality technical achievements, and new story just because no carmine?
Gameranx didn't mention that the card system balances it self out. If you want to know more about it just look it up. I personally like how it's setup and the fact that you can choose what card you want when you have enough scrap materials
me and friends were avid halo players for years. with the introduction of gears we started gravitating over to it. then with the introduction of horde mode on gears 2, me and my buddies were hooked and ever since then we've been hording it up when ever we can, so of course I'm pumped over the new gears game
I like how you guys review games (both bad and good things) WITHOUT scoring them. Us gamers should decide whether a game is good or bad and score them ourselves. Makes more sense to me how you do it and gains objectivity. Other sites should learn from you! Keep it up!!
I'm just gonna go ahead and say this is a game that should've stopped at the 3rd one. This doesn't feel like Gears at all. The campaign was shit. Probably worse than Judgment. And the graphics be looking too colorful and cartoony.
I'm playing it right now for the fifth time. I'm a long term fan of the series, and enjoyed a lot all the previous chapters, but I wasn't very excited of the new game, since it wasn't made by Epic games. I was wrong. The game is really fun to play. The horde mode is great especially if you meet the right players to play with online. I don't know the other multiplayer modes since I'm not very much into pvp. The campaign is really good, with a good variety of situations, and I like all the new characters. Marcus is epic, anyway. One little problem I found is that a lot of backtracking is present, so I often found myself returning during the missions to places I had already seen some minutes before. The gameplay is smooth, the graphics awesome!
I've heard of this franchise before for a long time and I've never played any of the them. I'm totally new to this. But I have Xbox live gold and I started playing this game yesterday it's really good.
Well Microsoft has always owned the property, so no, they can't put their game on a "competing" console, Companies are supposed to be competitive, but they get away with being the exact opposite.
The similarities are staggering. Halo1- 9/10 gears1- 9/10Halo2- 10/10 gears2- 9/10Halo3- 10/10 gears3- 10/10-------After Microsoft purchase------|Halo4- 7/10 gears4- 8/10 VHalo5- 6/10 gears???? Please be careful going down this trail Gears. Just look what's happening to halo. Microsoft tends to screw up games they buy. IE: micro transactions.
epic was on their way to destroy what they started. i'm really glad with the direction gears 4 is taking (except the micro transactions but at this point i dont even care).
Well Micro transactions themselves are ok, but when the balance is around them, that's when they become bad. Dev's have a habit of not making them value for money, or just straight up balancing the entire system to promote them.
What happened to the dark and grimmy setting of gears?? this game is trying to be a uncharted with all the set pieces and all, i wanted a proper sequel to 3, not this bright game.
i'm really not sure how you could look at gears and think its anything like uncharted, unless you were just looking for a reason to talk about ps games on a video about a microsoft game
I agree, it's too cartoony and colourful. Gears should be grimy and dirty with a post-apocalyptic colour palette. Even the blood looks like Disney did it.
I got the ultimate edition on friday and I didn't stop playing the campaign for 8 hours. stayed up all night. I'm very pleased with the campaign. it's definitely got the feel of the first game. very horror like. played the online and I'm having fun with it. haven't tried horde mode yet, but I'm excited to! this is the game that will make you buy an Xbox one and definitely a contender with uncharted 4 for game of the year
The class skills for horde make a big difference. I have everything maxed out for heavy class. The turret damage card is a must along with marked damage gives u a %100 damage boost if you wanna beat it on insane
They are, there's this one dude that posted a comment shitting on the game just because a bunch of the players he played with quit the game during Horde mode.
I'm always scared to watch videos about games I haven't played yet do to spoilers and people ruining the game. but u tread lightly and give a lot of info and opinion and detail without spoiling at all. u got it down to a science ha-ha! anyway, I just wanted to say I appreciate it. :)
I wish this was released a few months ago. All my time is going to be dedicated to BF1, so I'm going to have to wait to pick this up. hopefully the multiplayer community will still be active once I get it. great video man!
same :( i thought gears was dead because the abomination that was judgement so when i switched to ps4 i didnt care about losing the franchise but now i feel sad
frost man i didnt mind judgement i just decided to take after my ps3 than xbox when it was time to upgrade then I moved and most of my new friends had a ps4 so It basicly worked out in my favour
wtf... epic games is still epic games.. DUH Coalition was black tusk studios which was a company called big park games or something before. neither studio released any games until this..
This game is so dissapointing, especially the campaign and the bland, boring characters. I could not finish the campaign because it was to boring. And the microtransactions suck as always ofcourse. I have the thing on PC, and it was a 120+ gb download....and i do not even have the mappack. Multiplayer is ok but almost dead already.
Been playing this most of the week with my housemate on Splitscreen on Hardcore. For the most part we have enjoyed it but there have been little things that have annoyed us. Checkpoints happening, then we collect new weapons, then face hard enemies, die, and then all the weapons are gone and we are stuck with next to no ammo for the next time we have to face those enemies. Looks amazing, a decent challenge, has the good old gears gameplay feel, just a couple little things that have annoyed me. Overall a good game. Though wouldn't rate it as high as everyone seems to be. Side note: That scene where you free Marcus if he had of... I would have put the control down, walked away and never touched the game again. But what a scene, many emotions.
Spoiler warning. For me, the campaign felt so dull compared to the other 3 games’ (let’s all forget about Judgement). It all felt so narrow and too focused on setting up the next game. But nevertheless, I had a real good time playing with my friend! But as a big fan of the series it was a little dull. Though, it had some moments. Still love the gore and action! The final boss was kinda lame. Literally the squid boss from Super Mario sunshine. I was expecting something cooler and more epic. Like the final boss in Gears 3. Where it appears throughout the game and you finally get to take it down. Gears 4s final boss kinda just appears out of nowhere. All in all, pretty good game. That’s my two cents.
This is a great buy for any gears of war fan, much better than judgment because the story offers more to us than others may see. The story answers the long lived question as to who is queen myrrah, human or locust. The online is better than ever and I see it getting better with the two maps a month season pass.
The story is a personal one, but the end and the way the story was leads to what I think will be a huge war between the cog and the swarm. Kait will have deeper motives to kill the swarm, while Marcus and Jd when they find out who her grandmother is. Wow. I can't wait. This is going to be an amazing story I think.....anyone else?
Might I just add to the part you said about the campaign not being a major war, they have at least 3 more games planned to revolve around J.D., Gears of War 4 pretty much sets the beginning of the war up, but there is much more to come in the next games.
Gears Versus is hands down the best multiplayer of any game. The movement and weapons require tons of practice and skill, you have to earn the special weapons and grenades, and with every situation, you can either defeat or survive your opponent purely based on your skills alone. With that being said, Gears is also the most difficult online shooter to play with any level of success, but once you get the hang of it it is the most intense and most rewarding experience that can be repeated an infinite number of times while maintaining the same intensity and the same satisfaction that comes with each kill. I would highly recommend it to any serious gamer/ anyone who's a hardcore bad-ass.
-This story was ok. -Not enough dark survival horror vibes like the first -Ok characters that never really get enough backstory -Enemy spawns feel repetitive. You can't just throw a bunch of enemies at us and call it a good game. It just feels like they didn't know how to make engaging situations (aside from some cool levels, like when you first meet the Juvies. Very creepy). -Multiplayer is good. The gameplay for Gears has never really changed much, which I praise it for, I like how Gears never alienates the audience. But It has started to feel kinda stale. Just an ok Gears. I am not a huge mega fan but I was looking forward to this. I love the first Gears, I was hoping 4 would be like it. 6/10
The game delivered, it played it safe but it at least gave me chills. The sense of discovery and fear was cool and i want more. Overall the game play is feels fantastic , the only problem for me would be the card packs, i wish games would make it like before where leveling up and skills mattered. These cards affect game play and it doesn't feel that special when you see some guy with a cool skin because he probably just bought it. Same applies to halo, the cool thing is gears is not that cosmetic heavy so when it comes to the core game play, aside from the card boosts it doesn't matter. Enjoying the game and it doesn't disappoint like half the games that came out this year.
I'm a major fan of horde. But some of the games I find there's one person who holds the fabricator so you can't build anything. The games that don't have that troll though are absolutely fun. Versus yeah feels the same as the rest, it's nice and smooth. Campaign, been playing it on insane difficulty and there's lots of really challenging/frustrating parts especially the juivies because they 2 hit kill you then you gotta restart
Hey Jake I really loved the camping I think the Boss figth was 2/3 because it was easy but, i really liked the final cinematic and would like to see another Gears of War Game The New enemy types make your Game style change a little. My personal Opinion is 9/10
I really do like the new trio a lot, but I don't love them like I did the previous characters. I am enjoying the pace of the campaign a lot though. I'm excited to see where the coalition takes the series, kinda digging the more personal story.
One thing I will say about this Gears is that there are still a lot of door opening scenes. I felt as though that the transition from place to place is "Let's get to that door!" and then a wave of enemies blocking it. Storyline wise, the ending takes the cake. I wasn't too fond of the new trio of main characters but the story itself still holds true. Great game nonetheless.
Split-screen. Thank you.
Just...thank you.
Dunno why people act like we never see any friends or family.
What is...friend?

"Speaking of graphics, let's talk about multiplayer." - Jake Baldino 2016
Buster adamantium kinda stumped me too haha
Yeah, he kinda struggles with transitions sometimes.
Buster adamantium graphics r ok at best
Not the greatest of segways but he did mention the multiplayer was 60fps
Jake has been hanging out with scarce lately
Split screen on a AAA game? Am I dreaming?!
obe ajilima it even hit on PC!
obe ajilima Black Ops III has split screen too, at least for Zombies.
Joe Schena And multiplayer
SoL!S Music Official Congrats!
SoL!S Music Official no one actually cares😕

Samaker same
Samaker Halo 5 was probably the most disappointing thing for me, for my entire life.
Nathan Fetter That sucks dude, I love the Halo series to heart too so I can really feel for you there.

Samaker this isn't reddit. No need to "Edit"
Already bought and finished. Awesome game.
Carmine also had the most pivotal role in the game.
benjamin mitchell yes, those truly are the most pivotal 30 seconds
You think half of the game is made by DICE or CD Project Red?
Sir Sabat no it's not Epic, it's the Coalition
Charte Portman I waited for Carmine to show up and die.
Splitscreen on PC even? I love it when they don't leave that out in PC versions of games, as there's really no reason to exclude it.
+Aimela yup!
thank god, me and my brother played all the gow and I'm so glad that there's split screen
yeah
I hear that
I'm even happier that they included split-screen on PC. That's even more rare than on consoles
It seems a lot of brothers play this game together when Dom died I gotp pretty mad and said well who am I'm going to play as now
sam swagolicus barron-baker Same! Me & My Bro Always Play Split Screen On Gears!
I just finished playing the campaign and I love it. Gears of War 4 is a must buy if you have Xbox One or Windows 10, even if you've never played a Gears of War game before. gears of war 4 is simple amazing I got the ultimate edition and I haven't been able to put it down. well i was playing on insane so enemies are tankier.
I don't know but to me when i hear and enforcer being active i'm just like "fuck" Lol
+Darkore they just seem tankier because you spend more time in cover while trying to kill them off
Have you played the others GoW ?
all of them 100% completion

i think he's point how stupid you are, not that he has any sort of problem
I didn't kill anybody no really I have a $1500 PC, 2, $250 mics, a $800 HTC VIVE, a $150 keyboard. So shhhhhhh
+Some fat guy Wearing a flannel are multiplayer and Horde Mode good??
Why does a triple A game need micro transactions again?????????
alanb:) because money
development costs are much higher now than 10 years ago, price of games hasn't changed in the same amount of time. also, microsoft is greedy.

Good job dude!
woah, thanks!
I dont like gears much but love halo 😎
You can play it on PC. Oh, wait, console peas...
Hey wanna hear something fun :D? The whole PC masterrace was coined by a reviewer called ben Yahtzee Crosshaw. But here's the kicker, he meant it as an insult.
And i qoute:
It was intended to be ironic, to illustrate what I perceived at the time to be an elitist attitude among a certain kind of PC gamer. - Ben Yahtzee crosshaw
Even to this day he mocks PC gamers for their elitism but elitist with their heads up their butts are either to stupid or have too much of an ego to notice this.
I know PC's have much higher output than consoles and steam makes things allot cheaper. I grew up on my PlayStation and I love it and don't need anything else.
If you honestly wanna mock me for it go right ahead.
+Mujtaba Ellari 👌👍👍
Mujtaba Ellari you should try a different halo, the otgers are better
Who's here after xbox made it free for gold?
Me im somewhat new to the gow series I played 1 and a bit of 3 I'm excited for this one tho
Martin Espino same
Its soo big
@@babatunde6130 that's what she said 😂😏
@@jayceecampos6736 a person of class I see
It doesn't look like it will feel the same as other GoW. It looks less "epic".
PlatinumFlyTrap i hate you for that pun
Do you mean like they took the War out of Gears of War?
Well, like was said in the video, its a smaller scale. You aren't part of a huge war this time. You're part of a small team with specific goals.
it looks like instead of it being called gears of war 4 it should've been called gears of war blah blah blah
i really miss the old weapons, mainly the ink grenade, =(
Gameranx won't reply to this.
+Game Domain lol
Game Domain false
This is the third time this gameranx replied this week!
Game Domain
Game Domain So original
I used to watch your videos just for your before you buy videos and I was planning on getting this game and I like how your gameplay doesn't spoil anything I subscribed.
Last act of the campaign and I was expecting a big build up for a war but it's personal. GoW is my favorite franchise I went into this negatively but now I love it. Judgement left a sour taste but this is GoW plus GoW3 multiplayer together it's perfect can't wait for 5. Plus the coalition said they'll add 2 new maps each month for a year so it's lit.
yeah judgement fucked my up my vibe but gow 4 looks awesome
why were you expecting a war its the first game in the new trilogy you barely know the swarm and still we dont know if the cog is going to help or keep hunting them down
what was wrong with judgment I loved it honestly
Puppet Masta the campaign was ehh in my opinion but I see why people would like it but as a gears game I didn't. The multiplayer was terrible and led me to play gears 3 more instead.
Gerry6336 haven't finished the campaign so I didn't know if the cog helped or not but it's still interesting.
*SPOILER ALERT*
You didn't mention how the Campaign leaves you in a huge Cliffhanger..
Talden Vader Not really.
yes he did
+BlazerManiacNumber96 It's actually a huge Cliffhanger...
Like some of these questions
.
what happened to Settlement 2?Why are they making the COG look bad??Where is Clayton CARMINE??Did the 4th brother Of the Carmine brothers actually Died??Is it the End of the Carmine bloodline???What happened to Anya Stroud??How'd she die??The Swarm??Perhaps Locust 2.0 but with a twist??Or perhaps not???Baird and Cole at the End??well..near the end..Sam in Chopper??is this heaven??probably not..Why didn't we see Cole in action??when will Cole trashtalk some of these Fuckers??Baird is now Bald??huh...Riding Mechs but noe too short??Doing a Boss Fight which is also too short??They found what they were lookin for...But in the end died???There's a necklace(i dunno) that she gave that's a symbol for the Locust Horde..THE LOCUST HORDE???What???What about the Swarm??what's gonna happen next??did all the fighting seems to be meaningless coz in the end the Mother died??we fought tryin to save someone but she died??Is there gonna be a GoW 5??And all our questions will be answered and then topped of with new questions??
.
So tell me....how is this not a Cliffhanher??
Talden Vader its a small cliff hanger. Clayton (If true) died in a bathtub. not 100% sure if new carmine is a brother or son.
the rest of what you said is nonsense except the end
of course theres gunna be a gears Five. Queen Myyrah is the Mother of Reyna and oscer and GrandMother of Kait. Swarm IS Locust 2.0 because Locust have always been human (Read comics and books. and gears 2 shows the test subjects)
after adams device went off, Locust Bodys went into a stand by form to fight off the device from killing the ilmusion cells
Gary Carmine seemed too young to be the 4th brother im betting he's Clay's son.
"speaking of graphic lets talk about multiplayer?" well lets talk about it while i'm eating my sandwich. speaking of sandwich, dont you think mom's spaghetti is just the best?
mom spaghetti, knees weak arms are heavy..
are you guys gonna do a battlefield 1 before you buy?
+Fausto Moh of course!
TITANFALL 2?
+TooT AKA StepDaddy, probably
Should I buy BF1 or Gears 4
I'm a fan of both equally
Well you clicked on a gears of war video so....
I'm playing solo campaign on insane and I've already contracted aids, Ebola. Zika virus, genital cancer, and polio
Jakob Patterson lol
But have you contracted the herpes yet or syphilis yet?
Starcraftgamer97 naw soon though
You have to actually get laid to get those.
you too?
I haven't stopped playing this game, it is just so good. Glad we can finally play a Gears on next gen
I am having a ton of fun playing Gears 4 so far. Love horde mode!
The 4 act of the chapter 2, just amazing, the most amazing gameplay i see on videogames for a lot of years
Gears hype!
just barley picked it up. lol. i was on ps4 for 3 years. but now im back to xb1 s. n im loving it over boreing ps4. gow 4 installing so im tha am im playing
TwoFacez4086 You know you can edit your comment right?
At the end he should sum up everything he said and say all the pros and cons in case we forgot
Its 8 mins... how would you forget
I've been playing gears of war for 10 years now and it hasn't bored me one bit. i love gow4 and the campaign and the split screen
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
I dont like the new enemies at all. Horde mode is also disappointing because after wave 10 it repeats itself with the same enemies. And for the whole game you are stuck in one location set up with turrets that outperform everything else.
My cousin works in the Xbox section of Microsoft. I get free new games.
Graham Jacket cool
Man, I played the part with the tornado at SDCC and thought the environment was cool, but I LOVE seeing all the trees and stuff in this video. Pretty awesome. I'm powering through 1-3 and I love them.
I'm loving the campaign. They introduce and give context to swarm well enough for you to be more curious on how they're related.
Game not worth buying for one simple reason.
Clayton Carmine was teased and then ignored.
You're an idiot
HOT Elaborate.
Same bro I heard there's some wack scene where they call carmines name and the dude dies
SSJ Carl Carmine is in the game. You're an idiot. Even if it was ignored you wont but a game with great multiplayer, quality technical achievements, and new story just because no carmine?
HOT is there a new carmine in multiplayer ?
HORDE MODE IS ONLINE ONLY and GOLD ONLY for the first time and that sucks
Not to mention no join in progress which makes the mode redundant.
You can join when a game is in progress.
I've not played xbox for 6 years now! Just got a xbox one x and this game feels the same as the original! Great game
I love the before you buy videos. Alot of times I watch them even if I already bought the game.
Gameranx didn't mention that the card system balances it self out. If you want to know more about it just look it up. I personally like how it's setup and the fact that you can choose what card you want when you have enough scrap materials
Campaign is suppose to be longer when playing on Hardcore or Insane
Obviously
Watching before you buy after you bought the game 5 years after it came out!
Ah a women with taste
me and friends were avid halo players for years. with the introduction of gears we started gravitating over to it. then with the introduction of horde mode on gears 2, me and my buddies were hooked and ever since then we've been hording it up when ever we can, so of course I'm pumped over the new gears game
I like how you guys review games (both bad and good things) WITHOUT scoring them. Us gamers should decide whether a game is good or bad and score them ourselves. Makes more sense to me how you do it and gains objectivity. Other sites should learn from you! Keep it up!!
i've never played a gears of war game. I have an xbox 360, could i get the older ones for a decent price?
there cheap but if you buy gears 4 you get the older ones for free
TMAC 93X wait what how
+Baconpancake52 pre order it
I bought it with the season pass thats lame i bet i wont get it
do they make Gears 4 for 360?
I'm just gonna go ahead and say this is a game that should've stopped at the 3rd one. This doesn't feel like Gears at all. The campaign was shit. Probably worse than Judgment. And the graphics be looking too colorful and cartoony.
last time i was this early clowns were fun..
Soooooo, never?
Zigmint there's none in my city or else I would
Zigmint I know where u live and Im coming for that *SWEET DAT ASS* MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
the clown atacks are all fake.just there for da views
I played gears 1-3 on Xbox. Wish you can play on play station (ps4)
Crap, the format of the comment got screwed up. Sorry for any confusion. (On mobile)
It's because Microsoft are a bunch of corporate douchebags. It's the nerds of bungie and epic games that gave these two franchises life!
epic was on their way to destroy what they started. i'm really glad with the direction gears 4 is taking (except the micro transactions but at this point i dont even care).
Well Micro transactions themselves are ok, but when the balance is around them, that's when they become bad. Dev's have a habit of not making them value for money, or just straight up balancing the entire system to promote them.
Microtransactions are annoying but as long as you can earn the things you can purchase by just playing the game is fine by me.
What happened to the dark and grimmy setting of gears?? this game is trying to be a uncharted with all the set pieces and all, i wanted a proper sequel to 3, not this bright game.
the next one will be dark it is set up that way
Sahal Sidat it's not at all like Uncharted
2 was the darkest
i'm really not sure how you could look at gears and think its anything like uncharted, unless you were just looking for a reason to talk about ps games on a video about a microsoft game
IS THE RETRO LANCER IN MULITPLAYER?
Francisco diaz it is, but it is a pick up weapon, plus it is much more powerful.
Retro Lancer was stronger in Gears 3 the only thing is the accuracy is way better in 4 so it seems stronger because youre landing more shots.
the new retro is the new hammerburst its way too OP but i like it, i use it to kill NOOBIES XD
I never played any gears of war can I jump into this? I tried that with halo and it didn't work but this looks so good
You're probably gonna miss out on inside jokes and whatnot but, as its a new story you shouldn't have a problem.
I'd get the remastered one first so u understand who the previous characters are. unless u don't care and just want to play multiplayer.
Miguel Saavedra is there a remastered out now?
BruteSparta i dont have xbox live either so do you think it would still be worth it
Yeah it's out. I'd say it is worth it seeing as how the first game was probably the best story wise.
I hope these comments aren't cancer
Awper-Spaniel you're hoping for nothing then
bahahaha
Ima huge fan of the gears series but i own a ps4 so i cant play it :/
cool and is that the movie version of uncle ben not the new one the old one
same :( i thought gears was dead because the abomination that was judgement so when i switched to ps4 i didnt care about losing the franchise but now i feel sad
zombieslasher134 ya lol
frost man i didnt mind judgement i just decided to take after my ps3 than xbox when it was time to upgrade then I moved and most of my new friends had a ps4 so It basicly worked out in my favour
yeah i have xbox 360 and ps4
are you really in the comments?
+ChaoticMartian yeah
thanks for clearing that up.
are you sure?
Thanks, needed that.
who honestly buys this game for the campaign? it's all about crushing heads
amen
Me. Playing through all the Gears' campaigns split-screening with friends are some of my best gaming memories :)
I'm relatively new to Xbox and only started Playing gears of war 4 last week. Loving every bit of it
Love the fact that split screen is there
but epic games is coalition, they simply just changed names.
gamerx112 Coalition used to be Black Tusk Studios...
wtf... epic games is still epic games.. DUH
Coalition was black tusk studios which was a company called big park games or something before. neither studio released any games until this..
well UE actually. Part of the same series release last year on xbox one, this year on pc.
The game is like 4/5 hours long.. lmfao pathetic
Birlzey thats what ive been wondering, fuck that
Birlzey just like halo 5
Nope
Yep, iv done the rest on insane so I'm not exactly the worst player lel
You don't get this game for the campaign you get it for the multiplayer, horde mode, and splits screen yah big dumb noob
I already bought it with the xbox one s limited edition one, and I gotta tell you loved the campaign. Played through on hardcore, very iawwsome!
Do you guys want to hear a joke?

Had so much fun with the game these past three days. Early access was definitely worth it.
Might I just add to the part you said about the campaign not being a major war, they have at least 3 more games planned to revolve around J.D., Gears of War 4 pretty much sets the beginning of the war up, but there is much more to come in the next games.
honestly the horde mode is one of the best game modes I've played so much tactical playing and building up a base such a fun game
-Not enough dark survival horror vibes like the first
-Ok characters that never really get enough backstory
-Enemy spawns feel repetitive.
Hey Jake
I really loved the camping
I think the Boss figth was 2/3 because it was easy but, i really liked the final cinematic and would like to see another Gears of War Game
The New enemy types make your Game style change a little.
Judgement was fun. The campaign was hard but good. The multiplayer was fire. That mode where you can play as the cog or locust? That was so much fun.
Just fix the hammerburst, reduce the price on the gear packs, give more scrap and credits per match. Then It'll be perfect.
