You two are so cutie. You can truly see how in love you are with one another. Linda we are so happy you decided to come out on the drive with Jerry. Sometimes when I'm not feeling well I feel a little better just getting out and changing my surroundings. Loving the drive around the villages. Thank you again for all the hard work and commitment.
By the way, that pond at 466 near Live Oaks Park, often will have a pair of Sandhill Cranes and occasionally Northern Shoveler Ducks in the Winter. Also the Freedom Pointe Lake along El Camino just W. of Morse, often has a large number of White Pelicans in Jan. and Feb. months. Same with a huge flock of Common Cormorant birds.
I have a important subject about The Villages regarding how do they Supper Aging in Place? We were co caregivers for our parents so they could always stay in their retirement home they had built in the early 1990s on the Chesapeake Bay I am a huge advocate for the Elderly and huge advocate for Aging in Place Thanks for the videos
I tried to contact you when we had phone troubles a couple of weeks ago. Can you please send us your email address? In the future we may need some advice. Coincidentally we are taping a show this week on elder care and transitioning to more controlled care.
Looks as if i want to have a new construction house it will have to be in the southern villages. Only concern is reaching the northern golf courses by cart. Have you driven a cart from the southernmost point to the northern areas or just say the hospital area like in this video. If so how long does that take?
If you’re moving to Florida go south. The Villages is too far north. Why move to Fl to be cold in the winter? Too restrictive, too many extra costs and most importantly too cold.
If you want to suffer year round with oppressive heat and humidity sure go south. If you prefer a bit of relief and a bit of fresh air central and above is better. It doesn't get very cold and usually warms up during the day. And it's for a short time.
We visited the Villages a week ago (all the way from AZ). It is fun to travel along with you on your tour and see more of the Villages. We spent some time in Brown Wood and Spanish Springs and loved it all.
Thanks for the ride. Wow it is a longgg ride from one end to the other. Linda, get Jerry to make you some HOMEMADE chicken noodle or pastina soup. Feel better. Stay safe.
Once again, my wife Vicki & I thank you for this video. We watched this while hiding indoors from single digit temperatures we had in NJ earlier today. It was wonderful seeing places we love and know and most importantly, look forward to returning to again. Please, keep doing what you are doing! Sincerely, Michael & Vicki Devlin, PS, you skipped over one of our favorite restaurants in the area, you passed on 441, El Ranchito , we recommend it for some good Tex-Mex,!
Hey Neighbors!! You drove right by our new home. Our postal station is Hummingbird. We love that drive under those Spanish Moss covered trees. We had dinner at Belle Glade tonight, after a long day of furniture shopping. From Babette’s to Bed Bath & Beyond. Now it feels like we drove this route twice. 😉 Hope Linda feels better soon.
Hi Linda and Jerry, Can you please post your Meatloaf recipe again. I know you have posted it a zillion times for people, and I keep forgetting to write it down, and now I cannot find which of your vids has the recipe! Thank-you so much! Enjoy watching your guys!
Here ya go Dee! LINDA'S MEATLOAF CANDY (That's what Jerry calls it😁) 1 1/4 lbs ground beef or chuck 1 medium onion chopped 1/2 tsp. Salt 1/4 tsp. Pepper 1 tsp. Worchestershire sauce 1 tsp. Soy sauce 1 Tbsp A-1 steak sauce 1 Tbsp BBQ sauce 1 tsp. mustard 1 egg 1/2 sleeve of Town House crackers or Ritz TOPPING: 1/3 Cup Ketchup 3 Tbsp brown sugar Mix all ingredients. ( except topping) in a large bowl. Mold into a loaf. Mix ketchup and brown sugar to coat over the top of the loaf. The sauce goes on before putting it in the oven. Bake in a 1 1/2 qt. baking dish for 1 hour at 350°. (sometimes I add 1/2 stalk of finely chopped celery and or a packet of dry Lipton onion soup mix). Let it stand for 10 minutes or so. Enjoy!😋 Linda
Thanks for the ride along. Traffic didn't seem too bad on Morse Blvd but yes, heavier on 27/441. Nothing compared to Staten Island NY . As always, thank you both & feel better Linda.
First and foremost.....Linda, feel better soon! Hoping it's just a winter cold and nothing more severe. As a person who lives in Spanish Springs, I truly enjoyed the 'ride along'. Makes me even more grateful that I live up there.....where all the 'action' is. In all seriousness, I'm truly grateful that we live so close the great healthcare facilities. We had no idea what we were getting into, when we bought our house in the spring.....but man, did we get lucky. Less than a 5 minute drive to the square, grocery stores and the hospital. Win Win
Totally agree with you, everything is in the North area ... also no bond. I love all the different ways people decorate their homes and the outside flower beds.
Sorry to hear Linda is feeling under the weather. If I lived closer I would have made her a big pot of my chicken soup filled with a heavy dose of Italian Vitamins C = garlic. Feel better soon and very much enjoyed the ride.
Loved this ride, so much watched twice! Its been perfect for this 3degree very cold night in Maine. Ahhhh looks lovely. Tks for sharing, will be there in March🤞 Linda I too had a Chatty Cathy doll and a Polyanna doll.
Jerry, I purchased in Citrus Grove (southern part of the Villages) and within the next 5-7 years will become the "center" of the villages. The construction here is amazing! Wait two months and an entire new neighborhood is created.
The head cabinet guy with TV was at my home yesterday and he told me they won’t be done building for 20 years. I think they will never be done as long as there is a demand for more homes here.
Jerry, I suggest you try the Publix fried chicken combo meal at dinner time when the chickens are being put out. It comes with a whole chicken, 2 full sides and a package of Kings Hawaiian rolls for about $13-14. Delicious.
Jerry, the KFC/Taco Bell on 441 is now closed for renovations and when it reopens it will be Taco Bell only.😥😥 This from a Nextdoor poster about the NEW KFC on 466.: Mark Shmikler • The Village of Poinciana I went to KFC two times now the new store. The first time it took me over 45 minutes to get halfway through the line. I gave up and went to Olive Garden. Wife wanted to try KFC again as we love fried chicken from them. Went there a couple nights ago and again the line was circled all the way around the new restaurant. I gave up and got out of line after 45 minutes again and I was only a third of the way through the line. Possible problem? Maybe they have trouble getting people to make the product because it seemed like cars were sitting in line at their window of each a long time. Another big part of the problem is the layout of the drive-through waiting line. It wraps around the building all the way back to where the people picking up their food need to get out. The waiting line moves very slow so therefore people picking up their food have to wait to get through that line in order to exit the restaurant. It’s absolutely a cluster F…. Whoever design the layout of this brand new beautiful store should be horsewhipped. Just a metaphor don’t yell at me. We have decided never to go to KFC again it’s not worth the wait. Good luck if you try the count on spending a long long long time in line waiting.
Thank you for the ride Jerry and Linda. I waved as you passed by me, but I guess you didn't see me! LOL I live in the village of Buttonwood, between 466 and 466A and not far from Sumter Landing Town Square. I enjoyed the ride, but it didn't seem that long to me. I guess since I've been retired, I'm not bothered by a half hour to 45 minute ride. I'm just easing on down the road, enjoying the sites as I go. Linda, I do hope you feel better soon. Take good care of yourself. Looking forward to meeting with you two in person in the near future! ❤ Missed seeing The Giz!
First of all hope you feel better Linda. You started your ride at our postal station Humming Bird. When we get settled we will have you guys down for dinner. Bring my smoker down with me.
Thanks for your drive. Havana golf course was one of my favorite one pretty challenging courses. Arnold Palmer was my most favorite and Cane Garden course in 18 months I played them a total of 198 times. Thanks again to show my favorite retirement community.
Linda, feel better. Jerry will wait on you hand and foot! You should have stopped and got him Kentucky Fried….no cooking tonight ! Thank you for this nice drive through TV. It helps our freezing temps in NYS not feel so bad! 🌞🌞🌬

Yep! I love it. I used to love their clothes. Unfortunately, some of it hasn't held up as good as I had hoped. And, they took away their lifetime guarantee.
Well, if you managed to catch a bit of Covid, no worries, this variant has been much less severe for symptoms and I watched your vax video, so you are going to be super fine and back to whooping Jerry on the golf course in no time. You guys are the best. Thank you so much for the continued awesome videos. Jerry, you must be a bit of a techno nerd editing and uploading all these, nice job!

How many miles is it from the south end of the villages to the north end? I didn't realize how big the place was.
20ish? Purely a guesstimation.

An hour or so.
Question: So are you saying Hummingbird Rec Ctr is farther south than Homestead Rec Center? Just curious because Citrus Grove seems farther.
Oh, we don't know. We were doing our usual guesstimating.
@@JERRYANDLINDA Oh LOL That is funny.. Someday there is a new video to see which one is farther.. :)
are they building a hospital on the south part of the villages?
That is what we were told.
How many square miles is the villages? Seems way larger than I thought.
BIG...Hard to say but maybe 50 - 60ish.
Comment.....Who else like listening to these guys at 2x's the speed. They sound really good at this speed......try it out.!
