Jerry, I'll bet you were a fantastic teacher, the students were so lucky to have you, not many teachers like you anymore, or the world would be a better place!! Fantastic video! You guys are GREAT!!!
We love our retracting screen door - BUT - unfortunately so do the little anoles! We have to be careful to bang it out before opening the front door because they like to sleep inside the screen! Love your show Jerry and Linda!!!
I wonder who coined the phrase ‘bird cage’. I grew up in Miami where these were common in homes with pools. In my 30 years in South Florida I never heard them referred to as bird cages. They were always called screened in porches.
I bet you both were great teachers. I had a terrible history teacher, she sat behind her desk, talked in a monotone voice and once said, she only taught to have the summers off, I hated history class. Now I love it. Enjoy your channel so much, you only had 200 subscribers when I joined, now 37+ thousand, amazing!
Great mailbag! 📫💌 Love the beautiful plantation shutters and screen door. ❤️ I never tire of hearing that you have never regretted your move to TV! Gizmo had me laughing today! 😂Have a great week. TFS. Best! ☀️🌴☀️
Just an idea--When the screen is in use, maybe place a "reminder" of some sort, maybe a piece of painters tape (won't mark) across the doorway, preferably colourful. Sometimes we think we'll remember things like this; often we don't! Have a good week!
I was visiting the Simple Life tiny home community near The Villages recently and decided to drive over and look around. We got on some road with so many roundabouts we couldn't wait to get out of there! 😂
Oh Linda, we would be dangerous together. I love a good sense of humor and just giggling. I also "cry" when I laugh...the tears just flow! Another great Mailbag Monday. Thanks!
Thank you again! We have our windows open as much as possible. After being “closed in” so much of the time up north we don’t like being closed in here. As far as classes go, you might want to do a video on the Enrichment Academy. They do allow the public...non-villagers to join in. We have been teaching a dance class for the Academy for three years and have never had anyone outside of TV take our class...but it is an option. Thanks again!
We are here on a ‘lifestle visit’ and we are loving cruising around on the golf cart. Roadways are very clearly marked so we’re doing fine so far. We’ve been here for 5 days. We’re in love and having the time of our lives! Believe! Thanks you guys for telling us about the Villages! We saw the Hooligans the other night and now we know why you rave about them. The entertainment here is awesome!! Food at the restaurants is superb! And everyone we’ve met is so friendly! People talk to each other here 😀 Thank you Jerry & Linda🥰. Oh, and by the way, we are going to visit Donut King while we’re here. I’ve been dreaming about it since watching your video about the place 😋
Hello Jerry and Linda. I am in the Villages looking to buy a home. Not going so well. I have enjoyed your mailbag Monday. You guys are great. When you show your golf cart rides are excellent. When I drive my golf cart around I always think to myself Linda and Jerry drove this path. Thank you for your videos they are the best. Linda you have a great laugh.
Hi Jerry & Linda, I watch your shows every week and enjoy them and Gizmo is a puppy plus segment. When we have moved I always pack each box, number it, and record the contents in a composition book. We had some overflow items that we couldn’t part with in our biggest move and rented a nearby storage unit. It came in handy when I needed my large turkey platter at Thanksgiving. I asked my husband to go to the storage unit and get box #35 (perhaps), we had 104 boxes and it’s a great system. My sister says that I’m the most organized person she has ever known. And I agree.☺️
When you open the screen door put a piece of painters tape on the screen (mid door)…that way if it rolls up won’t mess up the screen or the mechanism..makes the screen visible….you can doo the same on the rear slider when company comes over….I used to have a mobile screen repair business and made a ton of money on family and friends who walked through door screens because they didn’t or couldn’t see them….this was my tip for the home owners to avoid repeat business…
That flag is awesome Jerry and what a great idea and gift you obviously have some wonderful friends and co-workers! I really enjoyed this show but honestly I enjoy them all! Have a great week will be watching Thursday.
Linda, we moved to Panama City Beach, Florida 3 years ago and my only regret is missing family and friends . I understand, I sometimes get homesick for them! But other than that I love it here!! Good luck to you both, I enjoy you both very much!!
Nicely done, specially the golf cart demo for road sharing and access. About the front door screen, why I have a feeling we might see a “repair” video down the road. Thanks for the mention. Saludos !!!
Beautiful flag!! What a lovely gift. Great and helpful topics today as always, thanks for all the research you do..and the chuckles..Linda peeking through the blinds, exciting racetrack footage..Sweet Giz deserves all the pets and treats : ) Thanks for sharing 🙂🐾🐶🇺🇸💓
Another great video! Especially like the American flag crochet. I crochet and was making that Afghan. Still haven’t finished it because I can’t find the best way to do the stars! But I still love looking at a finished one on your wall. A thoughtful gift.
Hi guys! Just bought a house in Dunedin last week. Hope to meet you one day! Thank you for all the good info over the last couple of years. Appreciate it so much!!
Thanks again for taking the time to make another video for us. Enjoy hearing all the questions. You guys seem like your just having a blast with your accidental stardom haha! I know you both retired from the school system. It was neat to hear how Jerry dressed up for his class to make it fun. It's possible that you have already done some videos on it but it would be nice to hear some fun and memorable stories from before you became Newcomers.
Always great info. Thank you! I bought a house in the Villages in August and looking forward to spending the winter there. Hope I get to meet you sometime:)
We love our plantation shutters too. We have a birdcage and a pool in our interior lot (in Tampa). It would be lovely to have a home with a view of a pond like our neighbors across the street ... but unfortunately for us, we didn't see any of those when we were doing our home search. We adopted two kittens after we moved here and they LOVE being outside in the birdcage. They spend hours outside every day. We leave the sliding door cracked open so they can get in and out ... and so we can hear if they fall into the pool--which has happened 4 times. We run out to help, but they swim over to the stairs and climb out on their own.
Little story: About 18 years ago we lived in Davis, California. At that time Davis boasted a Neighborhood Electric Vehicle dealership. I bought one of their street legal NEVs (a sort of glorified golf cart with a maximum speed of about 30 mph). I parked the NEV under the carport and plugged it into our (manufactured home) electric service to recharge. For more than a year that NEV accomplished all our around town chores, including once transporting a bag of cement and other building materials. Since the NEV required no smog emission certification (don't know how they could plug in the monitor anyway) some registration work got a little confused. I notice that instead of a regular license plate, DMV issued me a smaller plate designed for vehicles designated as "motorcycles". One day, driving around town I looked in the rear view mirror and observed that I was being pulled over by a city motorcycle cop. After he checked my license and registration, the tall young man began to write me out a ticket for not wearing my seat belt. To which I amiably responded. "I mean no disrespect, officer... " "No. It is quite alright" he assured me with an amiable smile (after all, this was a college town) "You may notice from my registration and license plate that this vehicle is technically not categorized as an automobile, but a motorcycle." "Okay," he responded without missing a beat, "then where is your helmet?" I had to admit he had me there.
Your home is beautiful 😻! I’m a New Yorker living in a small space in the concrete jungle so to me it’s all fabulous 🤩😎😻. I would not mind a bird cage for all the reasons you mentioned. Also, learn a lot every time 😎. 🥰🥰🥰Gizmo🤣🤣🤣! Many thanks for sharing 😘.
I work nights paving highways and most mornings when i get in I watch you three and its always great and brings a smile. thanks again. retiring soon and looking for that life style. thanks again. great jokes Gizmo
Love your videos, good to see Gizmo, he lifts my spirit , I lost my two precious companions within 9 days of each other, a Beagle and a Lab, ( I still have the Labs litter mate) thanks Gizmo your a sweetie…
Jerry & Linda you mention the Humidity. Linda I’m like you the humidity does me in. Love heat not humidity. My ? Wondering what are the shortest length of stays Northern Snowbirds plan for based on heat & humidity. BTW can you have a birdcage an privacy wall without a pool? Tks guys
This was an especially informative show! I am always amazed how well you and Linda navigate your way through all those very similar living areas and roads. It is always great seeing you both and our little buddy, Gizmo! So much work and love goes into these shows and you are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Looks nice there, have friends that winter there. We could not leave the seasons in Western Pa. Florida much too hot and humid for us. Don't like the heat.
@Dale Divine We don't shovel snow, HOA does it. We just don't like the heat & humidity. Yes it gets into the high 80's and occasionally the low 90's here but we pick and choose when we go out. My hubby lived in FLA as a kid & hated it . I have been once & that was enough for me, could never get accustomed to living there. Won't even visit friends that live in the Villages, been invited many times.
A great way to start the week. You guys are providing a positive view of your world in Florida. Too many people are absorbed with fear and depression these days, your channel is good medicine to "look on the sunny side of life". Thanks again!
Thanks for another interesting mailbag. I think knowing your kids and grandkids are already scattered makes it easier for you to live where you want. Ours are all in one area and are upset by us just leaving for the winters! It can be really hard. FaceTime is great, but doesn’t help with the babysitting! 🤦🏻♀️
Love your videos! Yes, I’m trying to get my gardens & yard ready for winter up here in N.J.! Since I became a widow almost three years ago looks like I’ll remain here even though it was my dream to go to Florida when retired! Hugs to ALL! Gismo, You are adorable & want you to know I’m known as the “Dog Lady” as I take care of dogs free when their owners go away! ❤️😊😘🦴I would take good care of you!❤️🦴
Excellent Video! In my humble opinion to the question if the developer will still purchase land and expand in 10 years is if they build it people will come and purchase. There will always be a demand in 55+ communities in Florida be it from The Village or from the 55+ community Disney is developing.
Your kids having literally flown the coup would make all the difference in the world. We have two sons who live in the area. Three Granddaughters and three Grandsons. It keeps us running all week trying to attend all the soccer and field hockey matches and then Grandparents events at schools. While I envy you the FL lifestyle, you cannot do those things and attend those events by phone. You need to have folks in for an interview sometime to talk about having left children, grandchildren, aging parents and siblings, etc. I think you guys have the perfect (good) storm.
Agree, does seem to appear giving up so much, for some better weather, riding around on a golf cart or E-bike is somewhat selfish, however, to each their own.
Everybody’s different so if folks are happy doing their thing in the Villages, so be it. Being retired I’m fortunate to be around young people all the time. My Grsndkids snd kids are close by and me and my spouse are involved in their lives. Rolling around in a golf cart in “Gods Waiting Room” florida would bore us to tears All the restrictions laws and regulations would drive me crazy. I’ve commuted to Florida for work for twenty years and I’m extremely familar with the climate and the culture of central florida. The Villages housing will always be available because of the obvious demographic of an aged population Btw, I raced a golf cart for charity a few years ago. 😂
Nothing better than a home-made gift and the American flag🇺🇲 backdrop is FANTASTIC... We have lived in Florida for 40+ years on both coasts and you will NEVER find a more PATRIOTIC area than The Villages.. WE LOVE IT! Thank You J & L God Bless and will look forward to another great video next Monday .. have a great week!
Jerry, I'll bet you were a fantastic teacher, the students were so lucky to have you, not many teachers like you anymore, or the world would be a better place!! Fantastic video! You guys are GREAT!!!
Thanks so much, Kathy!😁😁
Linda, you are clearly proud of him and the things he did for his students. So sweet to see.
Talk about ‘must see’ viewing. ,
My Monday morning wouldn’t be complete without a visit with my favorite Villagers. Have a great week!
Flag is beautiful. Coworker did an awesome job knitting it.
Mailbag Monday makes my day! Thank you for spreading such positivity and joy! We have 27 months left until retirement. Can’t wait to call TV our home.
I bet you both were great teachers. Great mailbag! 📫💌 Love the beautiful plantation shutters and screen door. ❤️ I never tire of hearing that you have never regretted your move to TV! Gizmo had me laughing today! 😂Have a great week. TFS. Best! ☀️🌴☀️
And we never tire of reading your kind comments! 😁🙂🐕
We love watching your shows on the villages

I love the idea of the birdcage, especially if someone owns a dog. They can get fresh air and be safe roaming around
I was visiting the Simple Life tiny home community near The Villages recently and decided to drive over and look around. We got on some road with so many roundabouts we couldn't wait to get out of there! 😂
Gizmo! You crack me up! Great video!
Hi Jerry & Linda - I LOVE THE BACK DROP! HOW SPECIAL!
Oh Linda, we would be dangerous together. I love a good sense of humor and just giggling. I also "cry" when I laugh...the tears just flow! Another great Mailbag Monday. Thanks!
Gizmo’s down with Sir Mix-A-Lot! 😂 Hey, great slo-mo closeups of the “no-carts” sign. Enjoy your day! ☀️
Thank you again! We have our windows open as much as possible. After being “closed in” so much of the time up north we don’t like being closed in here.

THANK YOU GUYS ... AND GIZMO! Love it! Your enthusiasm, knowledge and patience with so many varied questions is amazing. XOX Michael and Vicky
Thanks, Vicky! We appreciate you both! 😁😁
It is a tough time to buy. There are so few homes for sale that they command big prices. Good luck!
Face timing my granddaughters & family really helps when we are doing our snowbird life!
Wow that flag is wonderful! ❤️
Great show as always Jerry and Linda!
Hi Jerry & Linda, I watch your shows every week and enjoy them and Gizmo is a puppy plus segment. When we have moved I always pack each box, number it, and record the contents in a composition book. They laid out those roads really nice. Dam good job and not cheap
Another great video! Especially like the American flag crochet. I crochet and was making that Afghan. Still haven’t finished it because I can’t find the best way to do the stars! But I still love looking at a finished one on your wall. A thoughtful gift.
Im so impressed with the generosity of gifting such a time consuming project! What a labor of love!
I look forward to Monday and seeing all three of you. ❤️
I always enjoy watching your channel. It’s entertaining, informative and a lot of fun! That flag backdrop is spectacular!
I love the stucco homes. They’re beautiful.
Glad u mentioned about the screen door cause first thing I noticed was how you could easily just walk straight through it 😂
Hi guys! Just bought a house in Dunedin last week. Hope to meet you one day! Thank you for all the good info over the last couple of years. Appreciate it so much!!
Hey, Rhonda, smart move Dunedin is a cool place. Honeymoon Island?

Linda looked thrilled 🙄 about Jerry's Spam slicer. 🤣
@Dale Divine 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for yet another great video. I am sending you a question for a future MAILBAG MONDAY episode! Cheers!
That screen door is genius!
Absolutely love your flag! What a great gift!!!!
HI, I sure enjoyed this video. I love your upbeat attitude, both of you. Thank you so much!
Thanks Jeff, we appreciate it!😁😁
There goes another great mailbag Monday with Jerry & Linda!

I’ve never seen a retractable front door screen; very cool!

That's a dangerous job, Sal. Be safe! 🙂🙂🙂
Thank you guys, another fine program!
Enjoyed this video. Great job Gizmo. I enjoy hearing all your answers. It’s always a fun and informative program. Happy October!
luv Spam in the Navy for 21 yrs and Hot Spam for breakfast or Midnight rations was always a treat
I thought Gizmo's favorite band would be Three Dog Night.

Beautiful flag!
Love your videos, good to see Gizmo, he lifts my spirit , I lost my two precious companions within 9 days of each other, a Beagle and a Lab, ( I still have the Labs litter mate) thanks Gizmo your a sweetie…
So sorry, Sonja. Glad you still have a furnace to keep you company. Gizmo says hi!😁😁
@@JERRYANDLINDA thanks Gizmo! Okay sometimes I’m a little slow at jokes, can you explain the furnace? LOL 😂
Ohh Gizmo, you are so cute... Treats on the way. Thank you Jerry & Linda. Cheers 🍻🐕
Greetings from the City of Dunedin, FL (on the Gulf, just above Clearwater)
Jerry & Linda you mention the Humidity. Linda I’m like you the humidity does me in. Love heat not humidity. My ? Wondering what are the shortest length of stays Northern Snowbirds plan for based on heat & humidity. BTW can you have a birdcage an privacy wall without a pool? Tks guys
Regarding your front screen; We pinned a pretty light weight stained glass butterfly to the screen and no one has walked through the screen since.
I just love y’all! Have a great week! 💕✌🏼
Linda you made me laugh out loud about Jerry's "costume."
Love your flag! And the t-shirts color is both YOUR colors!!!!
Beautiful flag.
I think Gizmo is Linda imitating Jerry imitating Gizmo! Let's listen to the Beagles! Really cute.
🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Jerry, you did the landfill quite a disservice by throwing that Notre Dame ball cap in it. Lol. Boiler up.
Ha! Might have to! 😁😁
Flag is awesome 🇺🇸 great questions and great answers 🌴😎🌴
You can put a two sized magnet on the screen. You will know the screen door is there.
Another great video guys thank you! :o)
I really do love “The Daily Sun”!!
Opening the windows in the summer... ha ha that's funny!

Excellent episode!
Love the flag, nice back drop.
TV is THE MOST PATRIOTIC area in Florida that's one of the reasons my wife and I love it there so much🇺🇲
Great episode guys. Loved the flag. I really appreciate it.
Thanks Glenn! 😁😁
A great way to start the week. You guys are providing a positive view of your world in Florida. Too many people are absorbed with fear and depression these days, your channel is good medicine to "look on the sunny side of life". Thanks again!
Excellent golf cart demo today. Almost "ruined" by Jerry saying it's "just common sense". Come on man, that's NOT a thing anymore! 😉
Great video
Always a great MBM, let’s not talk about the Arrowheads. Have a great week.
Jerry you rocked the costume!!!!
😁😁😁😁😁
Gizmo, you deserve more star treatment in the big show. 🥰😘❤️
SSHHHHHH!
I grew up in Tampa and currently live in Sun City Center. Until I moved here I had never seen painted driveways OR garage floors!!! 😳
Great show!
I accidentally read the title as Danger, Cults expand in the villages.
😄😆🤣😆😄
Great information as always, & you make it entertaining. Looking forward to Thursday.,we really need good lawn advice here.👍🏻💕

Hi. Love you guys! Can you tell me where you got your sliding screen door? And who installed? Loved that idea!
Thanks ahead of time. Debra
Phantom screens of Central Florida did it all.
Good show.
15 days until you see me when I get there!! And Chris too!
How long do the birdcage screens last?
As always … awesome video!! Bless you guys!! ❤️
