- Jerry and Linda take you on a golf cart ride over the Brownwood Bridge and through the developing areas just North of the turnpike. Join the Newcomers as they roll by some fascinating points of interest. The sandy construction zones are coming along at a fast clip, with beautiful trees, tunnels and a smooth, scenic multi-modal trail. This is a long video, but stay tuned for Linda's turn doing the color commentary!

So gorgeous! I live in SW Florida but I would move to TV just to drive around in a golf cart. 😂 Looks like TV is more for couples though.

This is funny. Back in '85, we went to visit my Aunt & Uncle in Florida, and my Uncle wanted us to see his new fishing boat. We crossed over a small bridge to get to the boat, and my Aunt yells, "Oh look! The gators are all over!!" my Uncle just gets in that small boat like it was nothing! He says, "come on! Let's go for a boat ride!" Hubby and I looked at each other and said together, "HECK NO!"

As always, enjoyed the ride. What I like best are the comments indicating the locations you are traveling through so a person can visualize exactly where you are on the map. I was in fenney when there was only a hundred or so homes... what a difference now! Keep up the good work.

Nice little trip today! The Villages should have y’all lead the parade across the new bridges since you are such great ambassadors for The Villages! I know y’all bring them lots of new residents. (BTW gators & bears = no deer)
My wife and I take golf cart cruises (we call them sunset cruises) with our golden doodle, Max, and our daughters around our neighborhood during the warm months in Kentucky. I look forward to those cruises in that area one day. So nice.

Thank you. This cart ride video was awesome. Once the Water Lilly Bridge is done, I can venture over the turnpike and explore more on my electric bike. I used to ride 40-50 miles three times a week. Not anymore. Thanks to electric bikes I can still venture farther than I should.

Beautiful! I’m like Linda. I like all of those healthy foods! My husband doesn’t! I can’t get over how expansive The Villages has become! Where will it end? I don’t think I would like being so close to the Turnpike.

Can't wait to get back down there! Was only in our new house for two weeks before having to come back to Michigan "Sno-birdin" then had some other things pop up that delayed our return. Nice video. I saw a golden wing nut drone video on how the bridges get moved into place. That was pretty cool. Like a puzzle piece moving into place.

I came to the "Villages" with my Parents as a young girl.. Initially it was a Mobile home community on US 441 advertised and a few homes built by Del Webb .. Early 65's .. My dad was interested in purchasing property that was really dirt cheap... I think he did and then later sold at a profit.. We lived in Orlando
My parents moved us down here when I was 14 in 1996. The Villages was that same trailer park and hospital basically between Belleview and Leesburg. So crazy how the area has exploded.

The paths are really great, especially the walking and biking paths! That southern area is really scenic!
What a lovely enjoyable ride. I thought my cousin had driven us around to all the different sections when we were visiting in October, but that area didn't look familiar. I guess since that bridge just opened, it wasn't available a few months ago. I don't know if I'd want to build new again. We built new 3 times since 1989. It sounds like it'll be a really nice area though.

Watching you drive across the bridge I felt like you were going to hit the oncoming carts head-on. It looks like you are straddling the yellow line. Every time I'd see one coming I thought, "Move over a little, Jerry!" ;)

What a nice ride along to start the day. I’d like to see this area in 2 or 3 years after being developed. I love everything about the Villages except the location. I wish it was closer to Tampa.
I bet within 2 years almost all of the undeveloped land in the video will have homes on them. Don Wiley's latest video said there will be more apartments built in the Village of Richmond. Maybe similar to the Lofts at Brownwood?
So I am over a decade too young to live in The Villages... yet here I am 😂

Didn't the first residents of Fenney move into their homes in the Spring of 2017? You all have been very patient in your waiting for connectivity. I hope the Water Lily brings is open for you in a few months.
We are lucky here to have a little bit of bike trails so Iam sure it's not cheap for paths

Outstanding video!! My wife and I took the that same trip and enjoyed it immensely. If anyone wants to get an idea on the enormous expansion of The Villages in the southern corridor take this loop from Brownwood to Meggison Road to the Chitty Chatty Bridge!
