    India should spend more into R&D as Russia is moving close to china. China is expanding its military. USA will bring more cases like Pannu in future. It's gonna be hard in future if you don't invest more in R&D for engines, weapons, drones, warships, missiles etc....

      The sad part is due to our big brain non-aligned policy we can't trust any party be it west or East. I still don't know why we are still following this. Having no allies means everyone is a potential enemy.
      I think we should normalise the China border tension ASAP and grow our economy more.

    India should realise that for such critical technology shortcut is not the solution. Countries can easily launch rockets to space but they cannot make a good jet engine. That's how complex the process is.

    Finally a good news... I hope govt of India also tries to increase sanctioned strength of fighter jets to atleast 50-55 squadrons (or perhaps 60 squadrons, so that in order to reach 60, we atleast reach 50-55 as bare minimum, like we are currently at 30-35 instead of 40-42)
    and more assembly lines should be made (to build atleast 50-60 aircrafts per annum) to help in inducting fighter jets at a faster rate, and make a decent presence in the foreign market as well
    on a side note :
    if our on paper projects can be turned into reality, then those fighter jets will be atleast on par with Russian and French aircrafts, meaning we do have a final chance to become more better in tech (atleast in this field, in the next 30-40 years) compared to China... if this happens, India can be the 2nd best country in the world for military equipment
    i hope the govt does take some big bold steps from 2024 onwards so that we can catch up in progress

      @@dkq986 yup, perhaps IAF entirely shall be expanded 1.5 times
      that means around 60 squadrons fighter jets anyways (isme delay toh honge hi, toh 50-55 ko bhi chhodo, 45 bhi pahunch jaaye wohi badi baat hai)
      and well in general too 1.5 times increase karna chahiye (atleast 2400 aircrafts needed compared to just around 1600 right now in total)
      and you are right
      CHINA is making its bases all around us and stationing its own jets there, while we are not
      if we are not doing the same in the next 10-15, then we are in trouble...
      Greece Armenia Mauritius Philippines main humko bhi bases banane chahiye ab toh
      Iran ki bekaar sarkar hat jaye aur ek acchi secular sarkaar aa jaye toh accha hoga, coz uss tareeke se wahan parr bhi bases bana sakte hain and China ke initiatives bekaar ho jayenge
      abhi ke liye toh chalo 56 chhodo, current number of around 35 squadrons bachane hain pehle...
      i hope after 2030 and till 2045 the IAF increases the requirements by atleast 1.5 times coz Chinese Airforce is becoming MASSIVE

    Sir...in next 10-18 years we will need access to many types of jet engines, ranging from 450kgf for small cruise missiles to 140kn for 5th gen Su-30 weight-class fighters.... 120-150kn high-bypass engines for MTA-90 or IL-76 class transporters...30-55kn engines for UCAVs & high performance trainers on the lines of EADS Mako...we must never forget that no one will ever share complete tech for jet engines with us, therefore we need to adopt a 3 pronged strategy....First, co-development or TOT for 110-120kn class engines with either or both Snecma & RR...Second, starting with AL-41 for Super-Sukhoi program we must purchase the TOT / License for AL-51/Iz-30 and involve a private player for assembly/manufacturing of both these engines in India...Third, GTRE must be adequately funded & allowed to build all testing facilities for development of a 78-90kn dry core for a 130-140kn afterburnervvariant....many will ask why do we need russian engines, but i personally think they are the masters at TV & high-thrust engines, the only issue with their engines is reliability & life-span, which i think is due to inferior metallurgy & production standards or tolerances as compared to western designs but these deficiencies can be worked upon reliably & successfully by our private players with support from DRDO labs

      But question is why do you need to convert a new aircraft to unmanned platform?? Just why?? we are converting our old trainer jets so as to use them as decoy / kamikaze roles if needed. But there is no sense to convert a entirely new plane to be unmanned. We can make them unmanned after the body frames reach their service life and are no more safe for a pilot.

    • @james4807M
      @james4807M 5 місяців тому +2

      Testbeds are never unmanned. If something happens Pilot can eject. It's not like Pilot will go directly to 73kn😂 it's long process and starts from ground testing steadily increasing Power. Takes lot of time that's why you can't depend on others.

      Kaveri has two planned variants
      K9 for 80KN class and K10 for 90+
      We did not take any one ahead

    सर जी नमस्कार, सर जी जैसा कि आप ने कहा कि फ्लाइंग टैस्ट बैंड हमारे पास नहीं है और एक बार ये भी खबर आई थी कि IL 76 जो भारत के पास है उन में से कई एअर फ्रेम ने अपनी आधी से भी कम उम्र पूरी की है और उन का फ्लाइंग टैस्ट बैंड के रूप में इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है और इस का सरकार पर भी ज्यादा खर्च नहीं आएगा,शुक्रिया

    who is to know that foreign test facilities will intentionally under rate and report the engine power to fail the program. Now don't go saying its not possible, being a tech i know and have experienced multiple such cases albeit in other areas and it is very much possible to keep one dependent on foreign arms supplies

    These piecemeal approaches is the root cause of delays.

    • @AlphaDefenseHindi
      @AlphaDefenseHindi  5 місяців тому +2

      You need a ground test, High altitude test and flying test bed to get a engine tested
      Finally a fighter jet test bed for certification

    I think we should make engine with saffron but not just India and france but we can ask UAE or other rich arab country to join us. This way we won't get too much financial burden on R & D cost and we can make fighters together if they wish. UAE fighter requirements are increasing so we can get good amount of export order for basic parts even if they assemble fighters in UAE. They are more reliable than US for sure.
