Those who are saying Jamaica has high crime and they are not going to invest or go back home are probably the same people who are in terrible relations with an abusive, neglectful partner. They are stressed from their jobs and living in North America getting sick. They are trapped .
They rather stick to the evil they know than take a chance to relocate to Jamaica where food is good , the air is clean. The people are wonderful and freedom reigns.
Perhaps not that extreme. The crime in Jamaica is an issue, but Kingston has a lower homicide rate than Baltimore, MD (as an example) and I doubt that would stop an investor from investing there if there were good opportunities.
The reality is the Jamaica isn't perfect, but full of opportunities; the imperfection makes you pay less of a premium for assets, which is good.
Many who complain can't afford to return
Your advocacy for Jamaicans to repatriate to the island is truly inspiring! Your videos have encouraged me to honor my roots and consider investing in property in Jamaica. After my parents passed away a few years ago, I've been contemplating selling their land in Gregory Park, St. Catherine, and seeking investment opportunities in a developing area on the island. Do you happen to know about any value-driving plans for the Gregory Park area of Jamaica?
