The beautiful thing about this movie was its intentions. For once in a long time, I saw a movie that's main goal wasn't just to please critics or provide a stereotypical plot structure. This film reached out to the creative minds. The thinkers. The dreamers. It dared the viewer to look deeper into life. To love the miracle of it. To question the true connection of oneself to their ancestors. To feel part of something bigger. It's refreshing to know films can touch us in such a remarkable way.
I first saw the trailer and heard the song, it drove me to go watch the movie and it blew me away.I was lost for words every time i heard it in the movie. It really makes me believe there is music inside us all. The love, peace and grace of it all brings me happiness :D
I watched this movie yesterday, and I just can't get it out of my mind. I have been listening to the music since the movie ended and it still makes me want to cry...such an incredible movie... I'm definitely going back to the theatres soon!!

A fire, that I did know about, but never felt that way. This piano/string piece just let tears flow to calm down my souls fire. I can't even call cloud atlas a movie. The message is so simple but yet so deep, there's no other movie put there that makes you happy the more you think about it. I can't stop thinking about it, I watched it twice in a row the first time I saw it. This movie hopefully opened up a genre for the future

I agree with the channel owner's beginning text. I've already gone and seen this amazing movie twice and both times the theatre was virtually empty. It is the best movie I have seen in years, and left me in awe throughout. I nearly cried at several points. It's fantastic, deeply moving and one that leaves you sitting through the end credits wanting more. Go see it. There aren't many movies that come out with such significance and insight as this.

Yep the theatre was almost empty when I saw it too, but the movie was literally breathtakingly awesome, in concept, in plot, in character interactions, both on the surface, and underneath it. This movie should be being lofted as one of the greatest films of all time.

Thank you for the upload. I had only bought 2 Soundtracks ( Purple Rain and Grease) before I purchased this one. Just that little snippet, when she goes in the music store looking for the record made me want it. Awesome movie. I have seen it 4 times and can't wait to buy the Bluray.

I've seen it yesterday and loved every second of it. The movie theatre was packed too, only a couple of free seats left when I bought the tickets a few minutes before the start.
I haven't have the lucky to watch the film yet, but I've find every information I could about it. I love the music as if it's telling me a great love story as a older man while guide me through the morning garden and then to the seaside. I think Ben Whishaw did another fantastic job that will move me to the bottom of my heart as he has always been, and also fantastic jobs of other staffs, too many fantastic person in it..

I watched the film yesterday and it reminded me so many things, many people who left me, people I loved, my choices .. we must be grateful towards people we meet, be good, thank them and follow our nature and be sorrounded by the people who let us adhere to our path, to ourselves. Not to mention it deserves numerous academy awards. There were two movie last year that I wanted to see: Life of Pi And Cloud Atlas, Bot amazing movies based on amazing books, I thought they would both do so well at the oscars, at least I was half right. Cloud atlas was such a beautiful film, I wish it would come out on DVD soon so that I can buy 50 copies and watch each one until they wear out.
The theme behind the movie is that one should do what they know is right, no matter how difficult it may seem. Further, anyone, of any time and place, has the capacity to do this good. This is because people, no matter their place or time, are essentially the same, and we're all capable of doing good and acting unselfishly. That's a powerful message. This is the "deep meaning" your friend speaks of. I'm not sure what element or lack there of made the film "nonsense" to you.
In a large and vast shadow of consumerism, this creation has a say. The same word spoken by each of our eyes. Whether we like the moutains, music, to dream, to love or simply to help someone, we all speak the same language that bind us in an infinite universe. Yes .... feels close collaboration between four writers and screenwriters David Mitchell, Lana Wachowski, Andy Wachowski and Tom Tykwer. I look forward to reading the book. You want to smile as much.

I think some people don't understand the theme of the story the director did their hard working. I understood the theme eventhough I quite poor in English. I hate myself now. If I'm good at English, I will enjoy the whole story and my 2 eyes will concentrate to the movie rather than take time to glance to the subtitle. Well, to be honest, I believe some books must remain unadaptable and "Cloud Atlas" is among those. The movie, though, has some extraordinary elements. The visual part is out of this world and the soundtrack...oh, the soundtrack! Just listen to it and...fall in love with life!

Well, to be honest, I believe some books must remain unadaptable and "Cloud Atlas" is among those. The movie, though, has some extraordinary elements. The visual part is out of this world and the soundtrack...oh, the soundtrack! Just listen to it and...fall in love with life!
This music is what i hear constantly it conveys my thoughts, feelings my love. It makes me cry, smile ,laugh. It is the song of my life. The music in my blood.

Cant wait to see the movie my boyfriend wanted to see it and then he passed away .One of the last things he said was he wanted to go see this with me...I bugged out when I realized what it was about.. Il bet there's a message in it for me..Waiting for the DVD on the 5th video was beautiful ! Thanks

The music in this vid makes the film seem so much more like a space odyssey chronicling the journey of human souls that it is.
