Every father is imperfect, compared to Mick in the film my father was evil. Funny that his brother died a year ago and he didn't want to go in the funeral and my aunt said he was afraid to go back to where his mother was buried because he used to beat her and his father up when he was drunk and he was overcome with grief cos she died suddenly. He's father was a psycho like him. Just your regular Irish family lol. Thank god I only fell for a few sluts before getting sense and have no pesky kids

This movie is about a father doing whatever he can to save his son and he pays the ultimate price in the end. I think any father could relate to that as I think any father (or at least most) would die for their sons and daughters. I know I would. As someone who never really had a positive father figure growing up I will do anything to make sure my son does, this movie is criminally underrated as it shares a message we can all relate to. Consider the greatness of the Newman musical family. Thomas' dad, Alfred, was the head of the 20th Century-Fox music department for two decades. When he ran Fox's music, Alfred watched over the careers of two young composers named John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith. Thomas' brother, David, is also a first class composer. My Father hurt me beyond measure and yet I loved him. And could never reach the depths of pain that he had to endure growing up in Ireland in the 1940s . His irrelevant words towards church and state ring true today. He wasn’t evil just hurt. He took no pleasure in hurting me and my mother and brothers and my only sister.

This track and "Twenty Dollars Worth" from the soundtrack Michael Clayton (by James Newton Howard) are so mesmerizing, chilling, and transcendental. Sure path to self-reflection each time. A mix of coping, "feeling lost", regret, solitude, and asking "how do we go from here onwards" imposes itself on my register of emotions.

This beautiful music is what makes me have hope
amazing movie one of my all time favs
Paul Newman.....one of the most genuine and gifted actors of all time....truly.
10 years ago I watched this movie with my dad at home. It reminds me good days of my childhood.
Excellent work! This movie is really underrated, and so is its soundtrack.
Thank you Vitor! Appreciate it!
I wish more people could watch this movie and listen to this amazing score music whatever you want to call it because it totally changed my whole outlook on life. Paul and Tom were so close to being father and son on this movie that’s why it resonated so well with people because it was real
Да .
Но , не многие поймут смысл .
Поэтому , каждому своё .
🖐️
This movie reaches the emotional heights that it does because of Thomas Newman's score.
With all the pain and darkness of this world it is nice to be able to find a brief solace in the beauty of God's gift of music. Thank you for posting this. :^))
Donald Trump is the last president of Babylon. The End is finally near. God is bringing us home very soon!

This music is the sound of regret and hope and that’s why it’s so important and always will be
One of the greatest movies ever.
it started out, for me, a sound score by my favorite composer. kept it in the player, and looped it any time of day. yes, gem of a film!
Conrad Hall with the photography and Thomas with the Music simple a Masterpiece of Talent
16 minutes and 15 seconds of relief in this complex thing called life.
This movie is absolutely one of my all time favs! Filmed around my old town area and it's an experience I'll never forget.
My heart just cracks every time I listen to this song
Вероятно , это боль прошлого .
Которое никогда не вернётся .
Оно останется лишь в наших сердцах .
🙏
I know right.
It is Truly Divine.
This is an excellent movie and very much underrated. The music is great and the cinematography excellent. Excellent acting all around. I look forward to watching it whenever it's on tv
It's so sweat. Without doubt, my favorite song.
My favourite Tom Hanks movie, and a worthy swansong for the great Paul Newman
Powerful music. Always remember the road trip with him and his son. Magnificent acting it was so real
I don't know what to say, the beauty of this, please...
Didn't realise this was not the original as intended by the composer. A superb ethereal, weary rendition.
Thank you!
Musique magnifique !!! Porte de la Liberté !!! 🎶🎶🎵✌
If i will have some kids in the future this music will tell them how much i love them ❤️
The cinematographer won an Oscar!!!
Such a great great GREAT underrated film
This is the closest thing to envisioning my Grandpa Lester Hunter sitting in his old car outside my grandmother's house in the snow drinking whiskey and smoking a cigarette in the 30s. What I perceive to be what their life might have been like. Innocent and wise.
Tell me more Good sir
I miss my Dad.
He's here :)
Hauntingly brilliant score...
When played slowly it exposes what a beautiful piece of music this actually is.
Just another in the long line of Tom Hanks movies with excellent Thomas Newman movie music!
Just 'stumbled' on this when looking for Thomas Newman ... so good, just so good.
alistair robertson Thank you sir!

Beyond beautiful.
There is a god.
This music sums it up so perfectly with Paul’s hand on the car and the look in his eyes and when he says to Tom I’m glad it’s you That rocked me because it was real and I felt it
"I am glad it's you"
Wonderful movie !
this is great, laying in bed close eyes and just peace let come...
