Hi Ivy. Thank you for the clear instructions. Some questions in my mind I hope u can help: 1. Delivery fee is for physical book and ebook? 2. I have yet to launch my physical book. I'm thinking of launching both physical and ebook at the same time. Any restrictions? Thank you so much. I'm very inspired!
Thanks for your comment! Regarding your questions, the delivery fee mentioned in this video is specifically related to ebooks. However, when you publish physical books, there is also a printing cost associated with it. In both instances, this cost will just be netted off the price of your book, so as long as you price your books above the cost, you will still have a positive margin. And, yep, you can certainly publish your ebook at the same time as your physical book if you prefer :) Hope this helps!
This video is awesome! Thank you. However, I can't seem to get the previewer to work, even though I downloaded it, and it's sitting on my desktop. The Kindle Kid's Book Creator can't find the Kindle previewer. Any suggestions? I've tried reloading it, restarting my computer, etc. I have a Mac and was careful about downloading the correct version for my computer. I guess I can preview it on the bookshelf--but actually, I'm doing this for a friend, so I'll have to watch him upload and see how it looks. It would be nice to know ahead of time how it turned out.
Hi Ivy, wonderful video i did exactly what u did this is what amazon said "Books that contain large blocks of text captured as an image create a poor customer experience, as they can become unreadable on Kindle devices and in print. Books that are primarily composed of scanned or image-captured content should be reuploaded using a reflowable file format such as DOC, DOCX, or HTML"
Thanks for your kind comment. Regarding your question - were you publishing a kids story book or were you publishing a book with lots of text on each page? I think the comment you received from Amazon is saying that given your book has a lot of text per page, it is better to upload it using a word formal instead of a PDF format, so that people are going to be able to read it better on their devices.
@@ivyhang5084 Thanks ivy its a kids book i have used canva and per page i do have say 2 paragraphs of text and used your software and got this message would you be doing a tutorial on how to use the word formal soon thank you very much

Copyright page will usually include wording noting that the contents of the book should not be replicated without permission from the author, etc. However, you can also take a look at other books for guidance on how to word your copyright page :)
Hello Ivy - I actually bought your No Place Like Home book to evaluate the quality of the paper for my own project - can you tell me if you use standard or premium paper? Thanks again for all the help! ❤️

Hi. Thank you for this amazing tutorial. I was told that Kindle is phasing out Kindle Kid's Book Creator and only offering Kindle Create. I couldn't get Kindle Kid's Book Creator to download, but I was able to download Kindle Create. I'm having an issue uploading my book from Canva.I started the process and chose "comics" as another youtuber suggested. Now, when I choose to import the pdf of my canva book, it isn't highlighted, so I can't import. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your question, I haven't personally used Kindle Create for my kids books before so will have to try to it out answer your question. However, I noticed I was still able to download Kind Kids Book Creator from this link in case you are still interested: www.amazon.com/Kindle-Kids-Book-Creator/b?ie=UTF8&node=23500500011
Hi Ivy do u maybe know the size for an ebook to upload on Amazon.I am using my phone and the links u have does not have apps support on my phone Hope u can helo
Unfortunately, currently I don't believe they have landscape option. Only portrait or square shaped books. Please refer to this link here (under the "Trim Size" section, you will see the listing of various book size options). kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/GVBQ3CMEQW3W2VL6 Hope this helps!
hello, I really like this video tutorial. I am grateful and want to try it. May I ask, is this method still valid? I mean using Canva, because I've also tried it, but when uploading the product contents of the book, Amazon's KDP asked for a fixed format and I had to install the Kindle Create application.
Hi Ivy, I just used your 8.5x8.5 tutorial for the printed book. But I'm not following along with the eBook. I'm using the Kindle Create standard software and I don't see many of the page layout as you have. *edit....also the option doesn't give me choose cover from first page. So I'm lost on what happens to my back page?
Thank you for your question. My tutorial is actually using the Kindle Kids book Creator which would be different from Kindle Create, which is perhaps why you are seeing some of those differences. Try downloading Kindle Kids book creator if you can and you should be able to follow along - all the best! :)
If you have Canva already, then you can actually create flipbooks from there. Just go to the "Apps" section and search for flipbooks and you'll see a few app options that could help you create flipbooks easily :)
Did i miss something? Didn't see steps to convert the book file itself/manuscript to the proper file or format to upload for the ebook. Your file was already a mobi file, how to do that step to actually convert the file to the proper format to upload?
Thanks for your question. Just to confirm, are you trying to publish a kindle ebook or a paperback? If paperback, what interior color option did you select? If you are publishing a paper back, you should select "premium color ink and white paper". If you select this one, then the min. pages required would be 24. I think you may have selected the "standard color ink and white paper" option instead, which would have required min. of 72 pages. Hope this helps! Adding the KDP reference link here so you can see this as well (details under the "TRIM SIZE" section of this link): kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/GVBQ3CMEQW3W2VL6#trimsize

Thanks so much for yr prompt response. I converted my Paperback story book to an e-book & now it's published. Can I ask you a question regarding the Payoneer account? Some say there is something wrong with it. I am worried as I operate only a Payoneer account & have funds yet to transfer. Appreciate it if you could let me know if it's ok to continue Payoneer account. Thank you

Do you think all paperback story books should be converted to ebook?
Thanks for watching! Regarding your question, I do think that it is always beneficial to provide more options to your customers so having both a paperback and ebook version is always good :)
Please provide what is in the copyright page
Copyright page will usually include wording noting that the contents of the book should not be replicated without permission from the author, etc. However, you can also take a look at other books for guidance on how to word your copyright page :)
Hello Ivy - I actually bought your No Place Like Home book to evaluate the quality of the paper for my own project - can you tell me if you use standard or premium paper? Thanks again for all the help! ❤️
Thank you for your message and for purchasing my book! Regarding your question, I used premium paper for that book. Hope this helps and all the best with publishing your book! :)
@ thank you! This does really help! And I will give your book to my niece too 🥰
thank you so much for your effort!! Did you encounter problem on error message during upload the whole pdf? "corrupted images"?
Thank you for your kind comment and glad you found the video helpful. I personally did not encounter that error message. If you are encountering issues during the KDP upload process, you can also try to contact KDP support via their live chat to see if they are able to assist. Hope you manage to figure this out and have it published -all the best!
Thank you very informative! clear and precise!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for your kind comment :)
Great video. Very clarifying. Thanks👌
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for your kind words :)
Thanks for your very valuable video. I followed yr video & tried to convert the e-book I couldn't paste the text onto the pop-up text box.
I'm sorry to hear. Did you make sure you have opened up the pop up box before pasting? If not able to paste, then best alternative would be to just type it out, but may just be more time consuming. Make sure you double check for errors/ typos before publishing :)
@@ivyhang5084 Thanks once again for your response. I appreciate it very much. Yes I did. My problem was copying the text from canva & paste it. But thanks to Canva pro I was able to copy it. Also there was an option in KDP to add text automatically. It helped a lot & didn't have to type it. Sorry I didn;t let you know that I published the bookmanaged to publish the e-book.
Pls pardon my english. Not perfet trust I was able to convey what I had to say. Best regards. (Augusta)

Hi, where in KDP I can select landscape or portrait ?
Unfortunately, currently I don't believe they have landscape option. Only portrait or square shaped books. Please refer to this link here (under the "Trim Size" section, you will see the listing of various book size options). kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/GVBQ3CMEQW3W2VL6 Hope this helps!

How to enable X-Rays , page flip and other options?
hello, I really like this video tutorial. I am grateful and want to try it. May I ask, is this method still valid? I mean using Canva, because I've also tried it, but when uploading the product contents of the book, Amazon's KDP asked for a fixed format and I had to install the Kindle Create application.
I am having the same problem and Amazon is rejsecting my .kpf file too
Thanks Ivy. From South Africa
Thank you for your kind support! :)
This was really helpful...thank you greatly
So glad to hear that you found it helpful :). Thank you for your kind comment!
Wish this software could also do page flip feature
If you have Canva already, then you can actually create flipbooks from there. Just go to the "Apps" section and search for flipbooks and you'll see a few app options that could help you create flipbooks easily :)
Did i miss something? Didn't see steps to convert the book file itself/manuscript to the proper file or format to upload for the ebook. Your file was already a mobi file, how to do that step to actually convert the file to the proper format to upload?
Thank you
You're welcome! 😄
hi. i had an doubt .when i read book from kindle app. popup text is not showing up.
Hi I watched your video could you please tell me I'm trying to upload a manuscript but they said it needs 72 pages
