As someone who sunk a decent amount of hours in Tropico 6 and Cities Skylines on the console this is right up my ally and i am having a blast with the trial version for now.
@@vagrantender Yeah it was good fun. Only downside is there is a lower population limit on console then on PC. I think there is a new one coming later this year as well.
I've put alot of time into the trial but my main 2 problems is no real in game tutorials for trade routes, and the profit meter being wildy inconsistent without any explanation. I'll be +980 and then within seconds I'll be -400 and then +980 again and I have no idea what's causing it.
While I have not had any issues with the trade routes, I have definitely been struggling with the economy aspect too. From my experience and looking at the finance tab, I would say it is similar to that of Cities Skylines: residents provide income while services are deemed as expenses. That being said, I am slowly building my city up to mitigate the expenses until I can truly figure out how the economy works. Granted, I could look up a tutorial to end the suffering, but where is the fun in that?
@@SamsquatchYT I figures out the inconsistencies yesterday on my own while researching the statistics tab, it seemed that I had too much of one production when the demand was really low. So I paused a couple and also removed 1 or 2 and it started to rise profit wise.
@@vagrantender I ended up watching a tutorial video because my economy was tanking, and it has been a game-changer for me since. It is a quick 15 minutes, and I highly recommend watching it. This game looks great, but I think I'll wait for a sale. I'm more interested in Transport Fever 2. That looks like a solid game, but also expensive. I'll have to wait for a sale.
Totally understandable, but I would recommend playing the trial in the meantime. I am definitely bias in saying this, but it is worth buying Anno in the end because it is just that good.
@@SamsquatchYT maybe you can help. I’m playing on series x. Every once in a while they’ll be barrels in the water at my trading post. I have no idea how to collect them in water. Just says pick up but nothing happens
@@Trademarc4ever As the others mentioned, you need a ship. Make sure that your ship has available space to pick up the cargo. Let me know if that helps.
Why build a PC? I understand that they are a great platform, get early access to some titles, and receive PC only titles, but consoles still aren't that bad
Hmm, while it's nice that this series is finally coming out on console, if the PC version of this came out in 2019, I wonder why is it "only" coming out for "next gen" consoles and why did it not come out on PS4 and Xbox One close to three years ago?! 😯😂🩲😀🤘 Anyway, even if it's "only" on "next gen" consoles, that's good, but it means that I and many others still won't be playing it anytime soon, until the PS5 in particular comes down to a more reasonable price! I still haven't touched Tropico 6 after playing Tropico 5 to death, so I can (and will have to) wait for this game, but as said, surely it could have come up on "last gen" by now! 😯😂😀🤘 . (On the "last gen" consoles, while I'm very happy that Sony and Microsoft fully support the PS4 and Xbox One, however it's long enough into each systems' lifecycle that both companies should developers to create PS4:Pro and Xbox One X patches and games specifically for them, to get best out of the last few years of the generation! 😯😀🤘🤞

I absolutely LOVE this game! Got a free trial and the next day bought it with all the DLC.

The rendering is abit slow when zooming in and moving the camera quickly for me but I am sure that will be patched with an update in time

When the games Morgan Freeman esque voice told me I had been playing for 12 hours, I just wanted to play more.

@@Trademarc4ever use a ship to pick up anything in the water, highlight A Then use X to pick it up. im on ps5 so i hope i got the buttons right
