So, while it is certainly a fact that this was indeed one of several "Elvis Jets", it would seem at least unethical if not illegal to not also disclose this information with the proof of ownership at the auction.
The only good news here is that the history of a rare object aka provenance, will always (I think) increase the value of that item from a collectors point of view.
Regardless, none of this warrants the Graceland issues considering it was sold as an Elvis Jets no different than the two at Graceland.
I say put it up for auction as the "Epitome of Elvis Investment Issues" with a 4.5 million dollar hold.
After a few years it will sell for 6. ;)
So sad that there's people out there who think this is completely fine to rip people off. May God deal with them in time!
@@therealjimmysworld I did a little research on Omni who sold it to Elvis in the first place and they have a less than spotless moral compass. Under a new company started in 93 they charged *US* the tax payers or in this case the government 1.6 million to deport 186 people (check those numbers I'm getting old) That is a very expensive plane ticket. All charges were dropped due to shady government practices...imagine that?
I'm not saying Omni did wrong, but the auction that sold it to you...well ya know.
Rumor has it Elvis paid 250K for the 880 and almost a mil for the other one.
Well if they stole it they all ready been using it ,
Huge fan of your site how do I get to see the Elvis jet
Everything about Presley's story is so depressing. The more you learn, the amount of people that used him is genuinely depressing. Makes his early death a lot more understandable
Then add someone trying to steal Graceland property
Yeah... people suck. Sometimes I ask God why he surrounded me with idiots and thieves.
Wants worse is what Elvis's manager did to him.
Any time you are rich and famous you are just a piece of meat throwin to the wolf's but thats just part of job than it you that invite fake people to your crib. If I was rich It would be rare for anyone besides my family be involved.I rather have house to my self.

Operation Stapler was when they were investigating Milton for burning down the office. 😄
The Elvis estate knew full well what they were selling. That is pretty scummy.
I like near the end where he included the Clintons......Panama....makes sense to me.
The estate sold it to a Saudi prince…went through several owner before the auction…being used in an Elves undercover operation makes the airplane even cooler…

Driving the Elvis jet across America, surpasses any scam story or ridiculous conspiracy theories… you did it, and I’ve seen it with my own eyes and I still can’t believe you pulled it off 😂😂
...and it's beautiful AND functional!
You mean the Vernon Presley jet?
What a Story. It looks like that no matter who you are, you can get caught in a Scam.
Elvis was a profound man.
He worked with several law enforcement agencies around the world during the 60s and 70s. You would not believe how much he helped law enforcement.
He actually was Commissioned by several agencies with full powers of arrest and to carry a gun.
Elvis never "worked with" or "assisted" ANY law enforcement agencies... he simply collected badges, and of course, many of them made Elvis an "honorary deputy", but he NEVER played an active role in any arrests or investigations
Even knowing everything you uncovered about this former "Elvis Jet" it still makes no sense to me why the old guy in the truck kept shooing you away from Graceland. It ain't like the jet got "tainted" somehow because some fraudsters ripped off the "King." You don't blame the jet, or the jet's owner for being defrauded by con men. Sheesh. That dude at Graceland needs to calm down a bit.
You have a point. The smart move would be to spin all this to make it a great story favorable to Elvis and Graceland. Oh well, they had a lot of money, but they never struck me as being people to look up too.

This does solve the mystery of Elvis claiming he was an undercover federal agent. I always wondered about that. And now Jimmy has one of the planes from that deal. Weird.
@@Hierarchangel maybe he was!! 🤔 😂
Nixon appointed him as a special agent.
Go looking for the transcript of Elvis' letter to Nixon requesting to be made a "Special Agent At Large." It is out there on the interwebs. The two of them did meet, and it is generally believed Nixon did give him that title.
Just a DEA officer and no, he never flew this jet as the check for the plane wasn’t fully processed.
Vernon walked away from the shady deal and Vernon was the only one involved.
💯 facts!!!!
"mystery"?... WHAT Mystery?..? there's no mystery.
Elvis went to the White House and pressured Nixon into making him an honorary Federal Drug Task Force Agent (it was a twisted inside joke, because Elvis was so addicted to drugs)
there's no mystery. they even made a movie about it, and several books have been written about it.
What an awesome story, so glad you tracked down all these pieces. I would say that jet is worth more than you paid for it, my friend Freddie Jr. would like to help you lease out the jet truck and help you reduce your payments. In fact if it works out in 84 months we can sell you back that jet for 1$.
Really interesting to find out all this years later. Thanks for sharing Jimmy
I commented and told you about operation fountain in the first video you posted about the jet. I believe some of the first court hearings started on Aug 17th 1977, one day after Elvis died. Which started the whole conspiracy theory of him going into witness protection and faking his death. Plus Elvis never stepped foot in that jet. The Elvis story is crazy amd connected to so many things when you really deep dive into his life. It's amazing so much happened in basically 23 years from 1954 when he first got started till his death in 1977. And ofcourse that's not counting anything that happened since he passed.
Jimmy. Although I am too poor to afford a real aircraft and am super jealous of you, you are one of my favorite people to watch. You always have such interesting content.
...and that 70's porn stache!🤣
Had they just let the jet in for a weekend to raise revenue, all would be well.
But NNOOOOOoooOOOoOOoOOOooooo.

And now here we are.
@@n085fs That is what I'm saying. Why such rude behavior when they could have had a "Jet Reunion" profitable for everyone and life would be a bed of roses.
Instead they act as if the two Graceland jets are superior, which they are not. All three were Elvis Jets.
@@n085fs that would make sense but Elvis never had anything to do with the jet…
Why have something around the Elvis community that never had anything to do with Elvis other than his name and address.
Vernon, yeah.
Vernon approached the deal and the deal went belly up, and he walked away.
@@derekchapel2783 Intriguing.
What a great story teller.... could listen to you for hours. Well Done Jimmy!
Edit: Wait a minute..... So you actually bought an abandoned POS not owned by the Presley Estate at the time and the auction house used the Presley name to jack the price and scam you.. At least you are getting return on your money hopefully.
Edit II: Actually this backstory makes wanting to see it on tour even more appealing. LOL Not just some old POS, but the history involved makes it a true museum piece.
dude is a shit story teller
What is crazy is many people knew it was abandoned and left to dust in the desert owned by another youtuber long before the auction..
I’m surprised he’s getting away with this for so long, Elvis never owned it and it surely never made it into the Presley estate. The deal went wash and no money was given for it. Vernon, yes Vernon Presley was the sole person involved and the sole person that walked away.
Never ever in the wildest dreams was this a Elvis plane.
Yes, his ex showed her face for publicity and publicity only, she wasn’t around during this thoughtful idea of buying this plane.
Jimmy was scammed and for him to lie and lie about Elvis refurbishing this plane among many other lies is absolutely bonkers and totally deserves as much discredit as possible.
💯 facts and I approve this message!
This youtube by Jimmys World reminded me of my connection to Jet Stars. I passed my Private Pilot License in October 1968. The FAA pilot examiner was John Doster, who was the head FAA guy at the ABE airport in Allentown PA. Normally a designated pilot examiner does these pilot flight exams. I passed and the only thing he said was didn't they teach you to fold a map. John Doster would fly to Texas to check out Jetstar pilots. Later Doster was convicted of conspiring with Earl Holtz owner of Northeast Jet Co. of Allentown PA. He allowed illegal Lear Jet to be outfitted with speed switch. John pleaded guilty in Philadelphia Feb 22, 1995.
What's a "speed switch?"
Does it turn on the Flux Capacitor (tm)?
@@KutWrite A quick google showed that they were flying aircraft dangerously overloaded to make fewer fuel stops in a trip. I wonder about the speed stuff though.
A “speed switch” is probably a switch that would turn off the Mach over-speed warning so they could fly faster than the aircraft was certified for. It was said that nearly every Lear that crashed from high altitude had one found in the wreckage. It was called a “go fast switch” and was found mostly on the early 20-series Learjets that were fast, light, and over-powered.
Aerodynamically, things can get quite squirrelly when you approach the speed of sound in an aircraft not built to punch through the sound barrier… The faster you go, the more the center of lift moves backwards on the wing. This forces the nose downward, resulting in the aircraft going even faster until it comes apart due to aerodynamic stresses on the airframe. The Mach over-speed warning is there to warn you well ahead of time that you are approaching that limit.
The earth is flat
I just watched a video of a guy touring this jet a month or so ago. Im glad you are bringing it back to life.
So this is one reason why some ppl feel Elvis didn’t die. He was working with the government against the mob and the fraternity. They when they found out he was helping he went into witsack
Guaranteed he went into WitSec.

Yes, but I'd call it a JetBus.
No one wants that pos as a plane or clapped out rv
I am not surprised at a well-known business not responding kindly to a lesser-known business competitor showing up on their doorstep to promote their product.
You may not see it that way, but it's still business versus business.
I always assumed it was because they didn't want you competing with attention to thier existing Graceland Airlines display. This may actually make the aircraft you wound up with not just a jet Elvis once owned but a piece of history for those interested in a good detective thriller. And who isn't fascinated by that!❤
@therealjimmysworld
Wow. It always amazes me how little things in life tie together. Bear with me, this is going to add to the weirdness.
I worked for a gentleman many years ago who had ties with lots of wealthy people. He told me that, ( in the late 1970's), he had conversations with a man who was buying Elvis's jet. Someone said, "Elvis would never sell the Lisa Marie". The "buyer" stated there were two of them. And it wasn't public knowledge. And gave an explanation that, with two planes, people wouldn't know when Elvis flew somewhere.
My employer said that a couple years later, they heard that Elvis and company were involved in some sort of FBI sting operation. And the "second Lisa Marie" had been sold. He said, "So maybe Elvis really was undercover".
My employer wasn't a liar. But, I always took the story as just someone bragging at a cocktail party. Turns out, there was more truth to the story than either of us could imagine.
Jim that’s too cool, sounds like my Dad working for Collin’s Radio back in the day only to find out about the CIA connection. Keep up the great videos.
"oh just leave it abandoned in new mexico, no one will want this pile" -FBI
All in plane site , but New Mexico is always in big history just not the Hollywood pay other states get credit in history
I was in the corporate jet industry from 1980 till 99. Jetstars were fuel pigs. They had almost no value in the late 70s. There was always a way lot of money around the Corporate aviation market. Thankfully I only got 2 bad checks in 19 years. Scams were rampant. Dealers took money and never delivered. FBI came calling about customers. CIA cane calling to buy equipment. I met astronauts, royalty, famous aviators, etc. It was a great ride. Then I got in the helicopter parts business, even more scams, people in jail, false documents and greed. I had enough and ran a hangar for 9 years. More scams. I got out of aviation all together
Knowing how Elvis was, I could actually see Elvis doing option number three.
Man the middle 70s is where all of this big overseas money scams started
It was real big in land, then the title would get so screwed up back in those days that it would finally be sold at sheriffs auctions, that was the only way to really clean the title back up was to force a tax sale.
Some of these old titles when you do a research on them still have a lot of that information in there, out of a lot of banks that were closed out of Houston
As someone from Louisville - look into Al Capone and the mob in relation to the Seelbach hotel
Huh…. I’ll have to check that out
A great explanation for those quick exits from Disgraceland. Did the security guard recover from getting fired? Why was the Presley broad shilling the Jet at the auction, knowing it was a sleazy deal?
Follow the money. She had to pay for those sad facial surgeries somehow.
because she is sleazy too?

My friend fell victim to the same scam with his car. He gave it to a company who was going to sublease it out to other people (probably with bad credit). The company went out of business, the sub-leaser wasn't making payments, my friend still owed money to the loan company. It wasn't good...
as I recall elvis was an FBI informant a police freak and had an honorary FBI badge

Elvis never even saw this plane in person, and that is why there is zero interest in it.
The interest is that he even owned it. Riding on it certainly adds interest, but it isn't like this jet was just a total loss of collector value. It was irrefutably owned by Elvis and that's more than enough for major collectors.

Wow! What a bag-o-worms that was. I had to constantly rewind to get things straight and I still don't understand how it works. I'm sure that Vernon and Elvis didn't either. Elvis always wanted to be a federal agent. I could see him being talked into an uncover operation. Buying the 2nd jet would put some distance between them other than using the first, which was already known to be Elvises.
Ok Jimmy, time to add a "Real" Elvis RV Fountain Pen to your merchandise page. I was also the first one to suggest turning the jet into that RV you acquired just before buying the jet. Forget the wheels on the pen but get the paint scheme right on it.

I can understand the animosity, but I hope that lady who got fired for letting it back on the property got her job back.
Well, it still is the Elvis jet, and all the stuff you've done with it as an plane owned by Elvis is legitimate, I hope this doesn't hurt your efforts. If anything, this just adds to value just from the intrigue. As my friend and Director of the Vintage Radio and Communications Museum of CT always told us, The piece itself isn't what makes it valuable, it's the story of the piece.
How did you know a lady got fired? I didnt see him mention that is all.
@borismcfinnigan3430 Because in a previous video where the brought the converted jet, Jimmy was telling the story on how the lady he talked to said sure, stop on by. If I remember correctly. Elvis received a ceremonial FBI badge and a S&W .38 Cal FBI Pistol in a wooden case that was presented to him by I believe Nixon around that time 76-77 time frame.
Nixon was out in '74.
It was December 1970 he got that badge

Now we really have to stay on the jet! And I’m still not going to Graceland

The federal government makes bernie look like a Cub Scout.
Things went downhill for them immediately after this - Vernon divorced in 1977 and died from a heart attack in 1979, and Elvis died in 1977.

What makes me laugh is the way people are still milking Elvis for money.
U need to put this in a book and market it with the jet! Golden!!

Already is, "Chasing Phil" this jet is small potatoes compared to the other stuff
I have been a Elvis fan for as long as dirt has been around and yes Elvis would have loved working as an agent for the FBI that fits him to a T, one of his bodyguards described Elvis as a kid who never grew up, yep agent Presley, still can't Imagin why the guard at Graceland has his air-hose in a knot over the plane, always wanted to visit Graceland and at 78 don't have a bunch of time, but after they fired the lady guard, well mabye not, that wasn't nice. I saw this sitting out in ROW around Mar 2022, pulling some aircraft out of storage, it wasn't far from my aircraft.
I live four miles from KROW. It was common knowledge the plane was BS. Some people have more money than sense. Including the identity that was paying to have it parked out there.
How did the plane change hands back to EP? The family sold it.. did they have the legal right to do so?
Writing on paper in your residence is the safest.
Jimmy :The more i learn about Elvis's life, the crazier it gets. Me: Yeah, but it makes for interesting stories. And tin foil hat time Richard Nixon did actually swear Elvis in as an F.B.I agent. Maybe it was just because Elvis loved collecting badges or because Elvis Presley also had expressed a desire to work as an undercover agent to help America. And it all ties to this airplane scam. 🤔

The FBI created the white collar, crimes division specifically because of him, and then they hired him so they could learn how all of this works. He rarely scammed people I think that this scamming of Elvis Presley was kind of a vanity project. I think he just did this for fun. This was not his modus operandi. The trick to understanding what he did was to understand the power of a certificate of deposit which he could write whatever he wanted because he owned the bank. This was used as collateral to purchase all kinds of other instruments. When somebody in the family would die, he would show up with a brief case full of cash, give everybody a hug and a kiss, and then leave. He gave a lot of his money away to people who just needed it. Very good video and included in those FBI files you read from is the fact that an agent wrote in those files there was to be a grand jury seated in Memphis on Aug. 15th, 1977. This was for the trial against the mobsters and it’s very interesting that Elvis “died” the next day on Aug. 16th. Could Elvis have given secret grand jury testimony against the mobsters on the 15th and in helping the Feds did they help him to “go away”? By the way, they did eventually convict a few of those mobsters but what’s really interesting is that trial in Memphis was the initial foundation for the future Abscam scandal in 1980 and the FBI sting operations that brought down mobsters and crooked politicians and there were nationally televised congressional hearings. To repeat myself, Elvis helps the Feds and the Feds help Elvis and the truth can be stranger than fiction.
Just curious....why 4 plus decades later you cannot park it at Graceland?
The family knows the whole thing stinks.
@@docdurdinit would make more sense to let it park there as now the story they don’t want to talk about or want hidden has surfaced. Sad all this was a year before his death, did it have extra added stress?
@smitty2986 They ran this poor guy in the ground. This is his family imagine what Parker put him through. Sad
Because Graceland does not benefit from allowing it. They have very little to gain while this channel has more to gain. Letting memorabilia owners (competitors) promote their unrelated attractions on your property isn't wise.
Long story short, business is business.
@@docdurdin I doubt the family was even informed.
Jealousy and anger is the same emotion😮
I said from the beginning you had been scammed by the auction calling you for your highest bid claiming their "winning bidder" reneged. You should have offered your highest offer before the scam bidder made his first bid. As it stands you may be subject to a cease, and desist from using any Elvis trademark, and be libel for any money you raised by using Elvis trademarks.
@@dpsamu2000 Yes true, but the Elvis family sold it as 'Elvis's jet! He could hold them on that, if they try cease and desist.
@@gingerinventor110 Good point. But it still could be complicated. In an inheritance I got all my aunts, and uncles had to sign off on a real estate sale to convert it to cash for the inheritance for their mother's grandchildren. Since the auction house scammed Jimmy they may have scammed Elvis' family too. Lisa Marie was involved in scammy stuff for decades before she died. I think it's kind of spoiled of them to treat Jimmy like they do. Whatever they are up to you don't treat a fan like that. Especially an innocent one that did as much as Jimmy to rehab that jet.
Call it Karma for taking everyone's money for save the 310 that was never saved.
Hopefully, I will get a chance to see you and your family if you bring the "Lame Duck" to visit the "Spruce Goose" here in my home town. Great video. Very insightful. Many unanswerable questions remain. I heard rumors of the engines were discovered recently albeit a little late for restoration.
There was a jet just like that one at the Miami Intl Airport corrosion corner for years in the late 70s and early 80s. We all thought it was Elvis' airplane at the time.
