Just one grumble: it's frustrating to see successive close range lineouts without any indication of what sort of play got the Pumas so close each time. But much better than "highlights" that are really just the tries.
Muat be someone who watches northern rugby. Not a lot of ball running and the refs like slowing down the game. This almost looked like US football without any of the flair
Great effort from the Puma's. So good to see them back in the competition and easy to say that many lessons have already been learnt. To come within a hair of a huge upset vs France. The All Blacks raised the bar, but so many teams are climbing to the challenge. The Puma's are easily one of the most improved, and they are only getting stronger.
It's just amusing and amazing to listen Argentine staff blaming the ref when the penalty count was very favorable for the pumas, the Argie scrum anticipating every scrums and 2nd try coming from a throw-in directly in the arms of the lock (fantastic replay lol). It was a very tight match. congrats to both teams. the most efficient one logically won.
Congratulations France, from Argentina. I really hated that game but have to admit it was very epic. Hope we can still survive the pool but I see it almost impossible.
How was that last ruck not an Argentina penalty? Doesn't roll away and they when he does obstructs the Puma half leading to turnover! Missed that last call.
Machenaud was all over that ball and the 9 was not looking anywhere nearing getting to it so not real obstruction. 60-40 call in France' favour, for me.
Argentina came into the World Cup on the back of a very good Rugby Championship campaign, and now after a typically unpredictable French win they are practically out of the tournament, unless they can upset England.
Minom Pnom Despite this ten game losing streak they were still pretty competitive in many of those games, and they showed some great improvements, especially in their tactical kicking game.

Etoile Des neiges makes sense to me. I haven’t been watching Rugby much the past couple of years. I just remember 2-3 years ago they would even penalize the tackler for landing on wrong side of ruck. It always annoyed me then.
not sure why the call Pool C "pool of death." no comparison to the '15 WC w/England, Wales and Australia as bed fellows. Pool D boasts one more "top 10" rankings than Pool C; but, Pool C does boast 5 "top 15" ranked teams. NZ, surprise-surprise, lands the "Pool of Snooze" with only one Top 10 contender, and two housemates that aren't in the Top 20. I'd say there's no Pool of Death, and three reasonably competitive pools this time 'round. Would love to see NZ have to contend with two strong teams for a change. (No disrespect to SA...a very solid opponent...but, they're the only ones before the quarter finals.) That's my two cents. Thank you both for listening.
@@etoiledesneiges-d yes, the concept is easy enough to understand; I guess I see four pools, each with 2 clear "front runners." I had to look up the RWC15 results to remember (I know, shame on me for not committing it to memory!) :-) I note that Argentina DID make it, not only to the quarter but the semi finals. in '15, having 3 really strong teams in one pool earned the "pool of death" name; seems like unnecessary hype this time. There's plenty to get excited about in RWC '19...I guess I chafe at the commentators tendency to over-hype stuff, as it seems so unnecessary with all that is going on. But, to your point, a case can be made that there's 9 teams that can lay claim to expectations to advancing (NZ, AUS, SA, ARG, ENG, WAL, IRE, SCO, FRA) ...which means at least one of them has to end in disappointment, and mathematically, at least 1 pool must have 3 from that group in it. So....in that sense, there has to be a pool of death. And, I think I owe the Pumas an apology for discounting them the way I did....
@bab take a deep breath, bab...you're going to hurt yourself! Argentina is (as of today) #10 in the world; not bad; France is #7 (not bad for "garbage") ; England isn't the "only" team playing good rugby. The rank at 3 means they're playing good, but someone's playing better. Pool A has 3 top ten teams; Pool B has 2; Pool C also has 3; Pool D has 2. Point is, as Etoile steered me towards seeing, there's more than 8 teams that have a reasonable expectation of advancing...which means at least one of the pools will have at least 3 teams with good expectations of advancing. I made the mistake of not putting Argentina on that list, which they do belong on. After all, they went to the semi finals last RWC. Mathematically, when I made my initial comment, three of the pools were clustering similar ranking balances. I'll stick to my original thought that Pools A&C are a little more competitive than D and significantly more competitive than B. I'm not sure I understood your last sentence. may have been cut short.
