@@rainbowdust919 i dont know where you're getting your strong info of oats from, but i live here in Canada where oats are grown abundantly. I was just at the farers market to clear this up and while yes, most oats are heated- there ARE integral brands that use their groat oats within integral methods for production here in Canada. `
hey Kristina, i was wondering if you can make a video on orthorexia? i’m very curious about your opinion on it. love your talk videos & the creativity you express in your recipe ideas 💜
My mum used to make a really tasty granola. She roasted oats, stirring a few times, in the oven with honey (I'm sure maple syrup would work too) until golden brown. Then mixed in sliced almonds, shredded coconut , raisins (a couple of different types), pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, chopped dates, dried cranberries, peanuts, diced ginger, diced dehydrated fruits (same as you find in fruitcake), cashews, bran flakes - (think she roasted the bran flakes with the oats). Oh man....you wanna talk about goooood!
Very good. I make all kinds of sprouted and raw granolas. Right now It's a lot of pumpkin, sesame, pecan and sunflower seeds with pumpkin pie spice seasoning and fresh grated ginger. It's best to not keep dehydrated foods in the fridge. Fridges are humid, humidity in dehydrated foods causes mold.
Another option: you can mix rolled oats with mashed up banana, plus any nuts or seeds (optional), cinnamon or cacao, and optionally some raisins or chopped dates or other dried fruit. And dehydrate or bake at 150 for a few hours until crunchy.
Oats aren't raw. I don't care, because I'm not raw, but since being raw matters a lot to you, I thought you might want to know. Oats sold in the USA are never sold raw. They are steamed in their processing. They are healthy, and most people watching probably aren't "fully raw," but if you are trying to be 100% raw, you can't buy raw oats in the United States. You'd have to get them directly from a farmer.
@@FullyRawKristina Okay, but they aren't raw. They might be optional, but you say you've been 100% fully raw, without exception, for over a decade. It seems important to you to maintain this status. I was letting you know, because you ate cooked food in this video. Personally, I don't care if you eat raw. But you seem to care, a lot. So, just letting you know, they aren't raw.
I lost a lot of weight just going vegetarian that led to being vegan. So as a raw vegan im sure she did lose a lot of weight as well. Shes very healthy. Thats what matters!
you eat too much without water and there is less water. with less water you live less. we need more water eating thing with at least 70% water. with less water we feel more pain. you need to think about how you live and change it because that is not healthy. rest with water for 1 day and you see the difference. and when you can rest with water for 3 day 5 day and more. and with that you can change your interior
Just dropping by to tell you I like your hair and testimony. Bravo! l ...For this cause ought the woman to have power on herhead because of the angels. ...But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her:
Dear Kristina, this is a great recipe, but not fully raw. Rolled oats are made from dehusked oat groats, that are steamed to soften them, then rolled to flatten the grain. If you want raw oats you might use steel-cut oats, that have been soaked overnight. Love your recipe ideas!
You are always outdoing yourself Kristina. Have I mentioned that you changed my life years ago when I found your fully raw burrito video?? May you continue to be protected and blessed ❤ You are an a gift to us all
I've only just started watching your youtube recipes but I'm a bit confused as if you put them in that machine or oven, then is it no longer raw? Are you able to explain that to me. Still learning!
If it’s under 118 degrees F it’s considered raw. Some people don’t have dehydrators so she’s giving an option for them, though it wouldn’t technically be raw, it wouldn’t damage the nutrients like high heat would.
My sweet 2yo is allergic to oats (even gf ones). Do you have any suggestions on making it with out oats? Like adding more of something else, or leaving the recipe the same and just keeping out the oats? This looks AHHHMAZING and look forward testing it out! I would love any suggestions you may have. 🤗
I thought oats weren't a raw food as there is a heating process that all oat kernels undergo to make them digestible. Therefore making them technically cooked. 🤔
When you combine ingredients how you choose them? Do you make calculations? This is very important to me. I want to follow raw diet, but I want to be sure that it will be a healthy one. I hope you agree that just eating bunch of raw foods is not enough to be healthy - except variety the right combinations are important. I need more information about the nutrition value of the food in your recipes. It will be a lot of help if you can give more information about that.
One question - do you calculate how much omega 6 and omega 3 are there in this meal? Is the ratio omega 3 to omega 6 healthy in this granola? Do you make calculations about the protein and other nutrition in your recipes? This is something that I am very much interested in because when there is much more omega 6 than omega 3 in the food that prevents actually the body to convert omega 3 into DHA and EPA which are very important for the brain . Please advise.
Interesting. I got ingredients for granola today, havent made any in a year.. and now see this! Must be granola day!! :D ... (PS You look like a teenager!) xo (and just btw, like the return of the basic kitchen time receipes!)
@@Natafonseca99 Not really healthy in my opinion. Grains, pulses, legumes, etc. are not food for the human species. You can't eat them raw. Yeah, sprouted maybe, but still not ideal. And you wouldn't be sprouting them in nature I guess. So not for the optimal diet, but nice for transition or indulgence once in a while :D
”I an hungry and I know you are hungry!”
**proceeds to put the granola in the dehydrator for 6 hours**

i’ve been looking for a rawnola recently, thank you kristina🌱💘
Oats aren't raw. If that's important to you, skip the oats. If you don't care if it's raw, include them.
@@rainbowdust919 Didn't know that, thanks. It looks like rolled oats are heated whereas steel cut should be fine since they are just groats sliced up.
@@RawNoLimits In America, steel cut groats are heated.
@@rainbowdust919 hence why she said optional lol

I've been enjoying all your suggestions since it was summer, do you have any "comfort" foods or something for the fall, winter seasons?
Two weeks? Last a day with me, love!

@Jamie Dunson Kristina says she's fully raw. And what you're describing is high raw, not raw.
rainbowdust919 you can get raw oats in the uk so maybe you could get them shipped over to the US 🤷♀️

That’s so cool! Wish I had a dehydrator!
Use very low oven
Yes, I use oven at 120 C or 250 F for 20 to 30 mins. Take out and move around. If still wet, pop back in oven. Then cool and place in your jar.
Is it possible to make those granola without dehydrator ?
oats arent raw!!! :( theyre heated during the "rolling" process
True.
They're healthy af tho so why does it matter
