- Types or Classification of Chemical Reactions - This video goes over the different Types of Chemical Reactions typically taught in college and high school chemistry. I go over combustion reactions, single replacement reactions, double replacement reactions, synthesis reaction and decomposition reactions. Enjoy the video, I hope it helps.
Look at it this way:
Synthesis: Two people got together
Decomposition: Two people broke up
Single Replacement: A man stole someone else's girlfriend
Double Replacement: In two couples, the girlfriends switched
i like this. It makes sense.
Aneika Normal Thank you :P
Quantum Leap a great way for high schoolers to remember cause we can all relate to this
Brahmini Ravi Thanks xD
Quantum Leap Ah! Now the lecture makes sense. Thank you! :)
I absolutely love your videos. My teacher just expects us to know these things when she never even touches on them in class.
***** Thanks bro. I'm stoked that these videos are helping you learn. Keep up the solid effort.
wish my teacher teaches like this. all she does is insult us and terrifies us
sunnyfalls LOL. Try these vids/playlist for some more learning. ua-cam.com/play/PL0BBA0F3FCE7C7505.html
omg same!!!!!!!! i dont learn anything in my teacher's class
My teacher gives us these videos and that’s our lesson for the day. And then a worksheet
My teacher lectures us, but then refuses to answer questions afterwards lmao, and puts you down if you ask questions. (i.e. "Figure it out" "You have the internet" ect.) Thank god school year is almost over, got my chem final tomorrow rip (wish me luck)
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much! My teacher CANNOT teach! I learned it this Monday and I still don't get it until you simplified each slide. Thank you~
That's awesome ! Keep up the learning! Never quit and always be awesome!
Your the guy that will find out how to make gold from water. Thanks for teaching me what my teacher doesn't
Clutch Noob LOL. I wish dude. Keep on learning, persevering and being awesome.
This was a very thorough lesson. Well done!!!
WHAT! I never knew it was that simple! Thanks so much!
The explanations are so clear and easy to understand them! Also liked that there are practice problems toward the end of the video. Really helpful!!
You just earned a sub! Thanks so much for your help, understanding chemistry is way easier for me now!
Dude you are the best! Made it seem super easy!!!!
Thanks I will now get an A+ on my test now!!! I just can't learn from my teacher
Thanks for the video. Good crash course before the day of the test
Wow, this help out a lot thanks. Now I know hoe to identify a Combustion reaction finally. Great Video.
Wow ! you are a life saver. Thank you for sharing with the world your teaching style. Impossible, a whole chapter in my book which left me confused. learned in six minutes with you, unbelievable!
Jesse Beso Dude, you made my morning. Thanks for sharing that compliment. Keep doing what it takes to know this stuff. Check back in again!
I really like your way of teaching and explaining this. helped me lots, thankyou!
This was really helpful thanks so much for posting, also like that is was broken down into simpler terms!
This video helped a lot! Thank you
Thank you! This helped me so much
you are the reason i'm passing chem. You are my savior XD
Thank you so much. This helped me a lot!
Thank you sir, you saved my life (or my grades).
This has to be the best explanation !
Thanks for the super kind words! Best wishes in learning!
I can't begin to explain how much this helped ! Thank You ! :)
So sorry for the late reply. I'm glad the video helped you.Best wishes in learning.
life saver man thanks a lot
this helped a lot. Thank you very much!
At the end of the video you mentioned a website? Dude, if there is more of you teaching Chem, I definitely need to go there. So, where? I Googled with no love. Your videos are getting me through an accelerated Chem course that there is no way I would have done this well in without your help.
+tekattacker So cool to hear bro. Unfortunately, there no longer is a website. No worries, all my vids are here. Thanks for sharing your success!
OMFG THANK YOU SO MUCH GOD BLESS UR SOUL
this helped so much thank you
This helped a ton!!
thank you very much for explaining. I really like the way you teach :}
really helpful thank you very much ill keep watching your vids to learn more:)
youre a lifesaver
This is very helpful! thankkkkks
thank you for such a good information
thank you so much, my teacher just gave us notes and didnt even go over them and he just gave us homework over it lol.
Thank you explained so well
thank you so much this is so helpful
OMG Thank you soooo much! I didn't understand this AT ALL.
thx so much sir for this information
Thanks, this is really simple and clear! :)
Mark Angelo Kallos Awesome bro!
really helpful thank you!
Glad to help
you saved me man thanks
best explanation ever!! Thank you!!
Jacky Ramirez So cool to hear. Please pass on the vid to a friend who is struggling, or better yet, teach them how to do it. Thanks for the feedback. Best wishes.
Thanks man appreciate it
thanks a lot!
thank you so much!
thanks it really helps :)
Awesome video ;) tnx so much for helping me understand. However, i read in a book that combustion is the reaction of oxygen with another substance. The one you stated is just a subtype and a common occurrence where hydrocarbons (compounds with hydrogen and oxyfen react with oxygen and produce water and carbon dioxide
Thank you!
Well made video
Thanks so much! This should help me on my test
I hope you do awesome on your test. But....you have to study big time! Go for it!
Right on bro!
Omigush!! You made me feel so stupid by making it look so easy! :D
Thank you so much!
Nah, I bet you could explain it now. Go try to! Be awesome!
Thanks Kara!
thank you!
When writing the products of a double replacement reaction, is there a particular order to put them in?
Thank you sir
Thanks ❤
awesome
I beg your pardon, but in single displacement reaction, are there rules that I must know? If possible can I know the rules in all chemical reactions please.
thanks sir
You are very welcome
so simple ready for my exam tomorrow
thanks...............
THANKS
Cheers mate :-)
cool thanks
Nice
For single replacement, how do you know which one to bump out?
the one which is less reactive will be single
search on google reactivity activity is that a reactive metal will displace the least reactive and so on
for ex Al2 + 3CuCl2 = 2AlCl3 + 3Cu
in this equation the aluminum is more reactive than copper so it can displace it and take copper away and to know the metalic reactivity activity search on google photos
mainly it comes like this list ( not full )
Al
Zn
Fe
H
Copper
hope it helps
Combustion is a little more specific than just reacting with oxygen. It needs to react C#H# + O2 to also yield CO2 and H2O. Mg + O2 produes just one product, which is why is a synthesis reaction.
this was so easy >.O
Thank you! I have a Unit Test tommorow and I left my textbook in my locker so... thanks.
Are you a registered teacher?
Like a real teacher?
How did the test go?
I passed :). Our teacher just gave us the test yesterday.
What about precipitation?
Conor Smith This might be a little too late lol but precipitate reactions are usually double replacement reactions. When two aqueous compounds react and one of the products is a solid that's when you know there is a ppt.
thank you so much I have an exam tomorrow and I didn't understood my professor
Hopefully by the end of this video I understand this.
Hi sir, just wanted to find out about the the website. Thank you.
BTW what happened to the subscript of Al? < In the exercise I mean like seriously what happened to the 3
okay thanks
Thank you my teacher sucks at teaching
Joseph Waris Glad to help. Chem is a tough subject to teach, but I'm glad the videos are helping.
i had no fucking idea before i watched this video
awesome
I have a doubt. Mg also reacts with oxygen ,burns so as to form MgO. Since it burns with oxygen, why cant it come under combustion reaction?
MnO2+HCl=MnCl2+Cl2+H2O
Which kind of reaction is this
Plz help me
In the single replacement problem, a hydrogen and a chlorine atom just kind of pop into existence. Other than that great video!
I love you
I'm stoked that it helped you learn! Best wishes
Why double and single replacement and not just call them both redox?
+roy arrowood LOL. It was for a basic chemistry class. Enjoy!
plzzzzz be my online tutor....
Eva Dhiman LOL. Thanks for the offer, but for now the vids will have to do :)
why aren't these reactions balanced?
Hydrogen Peroxide does not decompose to form oxygen and hydrogen. It yields oxygen and water.
balance plz
Ur equation in single replacement is unbalanced.
I hate this channel. JK u r kewl.
hello good video but none of your reactions are balanced :/
I was forced to watch this.
Go back to making your stupid videos you ugly mongoloid.
You sound way too much like Ben Shapiro
Preciate the vid helped alot.
Thanks. Glad it helped!
