questions science cannot answer why are teachers so bad
@@jasmineeflores by now I'd assume you got it. But it's just something big to something smaller. Like a compound to two individual elements. (AB -> A + B)
thank you!!
Wait , is this what it feels like to understand chemistry?
Yes my friend
I think so
Yes and i love this man for giving me this feeling
i think so..
Yes!!
Man,our teacher doesnt even explain any of this, he just writes the products and thats it 😂
True story.
Edit: 4 years later, I’m in medschool second year. I hate it here
FiRaS GaMeR mind doesn’t teach. Let’s us teach ourselves
WHY IS IT THAT CHEMISTRY TEACHERS DON'T EXPLAIN ANYTHING?
Combustion and all those process are explained u need to use your own minds and believe me just by hart the skeletal eqn and do the balancing I have been trying to understand but no good every here and there exceptions are there this screws up chemistry
So true, my teacher doesn't explain as well
Same 😑

how about 20 minutes

⬜️-combustion
CO2 + H2O
⬜️-synthesis or combination
Cross the charge of each element to get the compound
⬜️-decomposition
CO2+ an oxide metal
If there is an OH in the reactant -> H2O + an oxide metal
⬜️-single or double replacement (follow the rule while applying the cross between the charge)
Single A+BC->AC+B
Double AB+XY->AY+BX

Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for a solid breakdown on Predicting the Products of Chemical Reactions in AP/General Chemistry. Once again, the practice problems/examples/problem solving are the blueprint for understanding Chemical Reactions. This is an error free video/lecture on UA-cam TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.
I've learned much more from your videos in a few minutes that I couldn't understand throughout an entire semester.
Thank you very much.. it took me three examples to finally understand but when I did, the feeling was honestly amazing. Thank you so much! My teacher doesn't explain these things and he expects us to get it....
This was incredibly helpful and now I can finally write up my lab report!
I came here to understand what prioritizes the reactions and while I don't get that (almost at all yet) I learned a ton from this and a few other videos! Thank you for the simplified breakdown

This video was so so helpful!!!! I have been struggling with this concept for years now!!! And just two UA-cam videos solved all my problems!!! God bless you! You have no clue how much this helped me!! Oh my god!

Thanks a lot for this video..now I understood how they form products 😂 even I always wondered how they got different products for every different compound..thanks a lot 💕

Ceo Of Poonis yup
Very good explanation sir. Very well understood the topic. Hope you would make more and more videos.
I cant tell you how helpful this is 😢
okay, so iron has multiple possible charges. How do you know what the charge of the iron is when its's all by itself on the left side of the the reaction
It can say Fe[II] or Fe[III] to clarify which charge it has. The letters are roman numerals and read as 2 and 3.
I'm just trying to learn chemistry as a hobby. People here trying to pass school?
A scientist in the making 😵😵😵
you find this fun?!?
why do you do this to yourself😔
This video is an actual life saver
Thank you for the video. Good clear explanations! :)
How do you know which one pairs up
Mr Shots C An element/compund with a negative charge will pair up with an element/compund that has a positive charge.
Dude just learn types of chemical reaction once u understand that concept you will be able to know which one pairs up with which
@@gauravv3367 how do i learn that? where can i look?
@@MarcDufresneosorusrex the four types of a chemical reaction are: Synthesis- in which two reactants react to form one product, Combustion- when oxygen reacts with a substance and releases energy in the form of heat and light, double replacement- two compounds reacting together, and single replacement- when one element and one compound react together
That's what this video's about
7:46, how do you know that Fe has a (+2) charge?
Bro each grouo of morden perodic table have differnt charges
Bro each grouo of morden periodic table have specific charge and elements belonging to the same grouo have same charge so fe belongs to grp 8 and the element beloning to grp 8 have charge +2 but it is transation block so many element diiffers in charge
Thx
you can find out with guess and check when given the formula. When given word form, well you already know what the charge is (given by the indication of roman numerals). You probably figured this out by now tho.
@@architect3927 pretty sure group 8 has no charge considering it is stable, and iron doesn't belong to a specific group and is a transition metal.
