      Combustion and all those process are explained u need to use your own minds and believe me just by hart the skeletal eqn and do the balancing I have been trying to understand but no good every here and there exceptions are there this screws up chemistry

    NOTES what to expect as products
    ⬜️-combustion
    CO2 + H2O
    ⬜️-synthesis or combination
    Cross the charge of each element to get the compound
    ⬜️-decomposition
    CO2+ an oxide metal
    If there is an OH in the reactant -> H2O + an oxide metal
    ⬜️-single or double replacement (follow the rule while applying the cross between the charge)
    Single A+BC->AC+B
    Double AB+XY->AY+BX

    This is so helpful! I have a test tomorrow and my teacher never explained how to find the product. He just writes it down on the board and then there's me who doesn't know where these freakin numbers and letters come from.

    I went from possibly getting a negative grade on my test to actually getting one of the highest test grades in my class in under 20 minutes before school. (I got a 39/40, not sure if anybody scored higher lol)

    But he didn’t mention that:
    In halogens the less electronegative (reactive) one can’t replace the more reactive one like Br can’t replace Cl but Cl can replace Br

    okay, so iron has multiple possible charges. How do you know what the charge of the iron is when its's all by itself on the left side of the the reaction

      It can say Fe[II] or Fe[III] to clarify which charge it has. The letters are roman numerals and read as 2 and 3.

      Bro each grouo of morden periodic table have specific charge and elements belonging to the same grouo have same charge so fe belongs to grp 8 and the element beloning to grp 8 have charge +2 but it is transation block so many element diiffers in charge

      you can find out with guess and check when given the formula. When given word form, well you already know what the charge is (given by the indication of roman numerals). You probably figured this out by now tho.

      @@architect3927 pretty sure group 8 has no charge considering it is stable, and iron doesn't belong to a specific group and is a transition metal.
