I really appreciate the "How to collect" section. More guides need to include that, it's kind of frustrating trying to figure out how to build these teams that don't come in a Kill Team specific box.
Great guide! I've got some Primaris Crusaders and Intercessors laying around, so I was thinking of building an BT looking Intercession team just for fun. You've given me some good ideas about how to play them.
New player to kill team here after playing last edition to death and jumping into 9th edition 40k on launch. Playing 10th weekly but about to jump back in KT as my local scene has popped back up. This video is a great help! I'll be picking an intercession KT from my Space Wolf army and a Death Guard team from my DG army. Thanks for the guide
I thought your name sounded familiar so I checked the list of participants. Turns out, we will be attending the same tournament (also my first one). See you there.🙂
I got a box of Death Company Intercessors + a Sergeant via evil bay, cheap way of building the team! Tried them out against my son’s Legionnaires, he conceded in turn 2, Intercessors are a very strong team, very simple to play.
I play by intercessors vs kasrkins half year, and it is a rly bad mutchup. 2 plasma and one melta, sniper with 5 attacks on +2 and additional they have Elite points for rise up dice result. They start ofc like a jentlment in conceal and if and if you can't load a grenade launcher into them immediately and take someone away, there's a good chance that the intercessors won't survive to the 4th round.
I just bought some khorne berzerkers and was thinking of using them as intercessor proxies. Was wondering what chapter tactics would work best. My thought is durable and either duelist or aggressive
Totally unrelated for this video but I need an explanation, for the void dancer troupe tactical ploy the curtain falls, when would you ever use it? If you roll poorly in a melee and decide to just strike once and back out, what’s stopping the opponent from immediately charging you and striking first anyway?
If you attack an already activated model there will be not retaliation from this target. You can also combine it with murderous entrance if you have a crit during your charge to put 2 attacks, fall back for 1ap and avoid any retaliation. it will save you a model that you could have lost if it stayed in melee.
I picked up a half squad each of Primaris Intercessors and Assault Intercessors off ebay, is that enough to make an Intercession Squad for Kill Team for now?
I am currently gluing my first ever Kill Team together, never played a game. I have the parts to make 3 Marines with Bolt rifles, a Grenadier, a gunner and one sergeant. But what to equip my sergeant with? I have the parts o either go Chain sword/ plasma gun or Bolt rifle/ power weapon. Any build I would be best of with as a beginner? Thanks in advance.
Would’ve been nice if you had included a hypothetical mirror match as you said it’s gonna be a very likely matchup. Great content as always, although I’m surprised you didn’t criticize them for being OP and needing a buff (thinking of your vid about new matched play rules which was hilarious)
I am not sure if I missed it, but in the FAQ it says Action restrictions still apply so I can't shoot twice and then a third time with Wrath of Vengeance. I'm confused what's correct now 😃
Hey, please can you clarify for me. On Wahapedia, at the top of the Intercession page, in the FAQ section, that you can’t use Wrath of Venegence to shoot a third time if you have already shot twice. So are you correct or is Wahapedia correct, or am I missing somthing?
Very new to 40k and KT and trying to understand: are Intercessors meant to be Primaris, Firstborn, or can they be a mix of both? I noticed the intercessor unit cards lack the Primaris keyword, so not sure what the intent is.
@@CanYouRollaCrit Ah, thanks. Just noticed Wahapedia has the Primaris trait on the unit cards but the GW download doesn't. Looks like Tactical Squad for Firstborn it is!
My friend is going insane over the wording for shooting twice. He says that with the grenade launcher guy you need to fire the bolter first in any case you want to fire twice. Also you can't overwatch when you shot twice. Also after a charge you can't charge again, you can only fight again if somebody is in proximity. Also you can't charge into melee and then throw a grenade because it is a shooting action, you can't shoot and fight in the same turn.
You can shoot It the order you want. Here is the rules:Bolter Discipline: This operative can perform two Shoot actions during its activation if a bolt weapon is selected for at least one of those shooting attacks
@@AlbertMartinez-w6u I shot grenade launcher, the guy died, then there was no further target. Therefore i couldn't shoot again with an overwatch action.
You can charge multiple operatives in terms of charging 2 operatives at once (as per my charge blocking video) Also you can shoot and fight in the same activation as long as you have the APL for it
Hey, do I have an old version of the intercessor rules? Assault doctrine gives balanced each fight action in same activation in which it charged. Like if I have an assault intercessor charge 2 guardsmen, for the 2 fight actions the intercessor takes it gets the 1 reroll per combat. But if the intercessor fights after its turn it doesn't get the reroll.
@@CanYouRollaCrit had me sweating there for a bit. Been working on a "World Eaters" all assault int team, if I had been reading the rules wrong since they came out I was going to go see a Dr. Lol

Great video, nice job and i would add Kasrkin as a Hard/bad Matchup since they have a lot of tools to destroy Intercession Boys.
Thanks! Yeah Kasrkin are a fair shout
Thanks, will go through this a few times this summer, while practising!
Ah great! Hope it helps (:
Very helpful guide. Any other factions you have the time and experience to give a similar treatment to would be very appreciated.
Will have more guides soon (:
Thanks for the how to collect guide! Not all of us have extra spruces lying around to build a kill team
Yeah, sometimes people are buying in new and lots of people forget that
Love this video style.
