jump tests being removed is actually such a good change cuz it was just not a well done mechanic. Would've liked to see it made into something better but rather have it gone than be bad.
Totally agree. Not sure what they would do though to change it. It feels bad punishing a failed test. And it would be weird to reward a successful one. And making it cost something would also be hard since bd already takes a huge amount of movement to move across anyway
We're having a lot of fun on this new set. Definitely shakes up the way you play the game. Ide recommend it for any avid kill team player. Not a must buy for a brand new player or someone who seldom plays
agreed, I've maybe made 2 jump tests in all my time playing kill team before BD, so its never been a huge deal. but now it can just cripple you especially on an elite team where a large percentage of your team will be stuck in the open. I suspect this will be addressed in the upcoming balance data slate
Yeah the way to play that's been going around is it takes 2'' to traverse onto the obj markers. however, getting off the marker, even on a subsequent turn, is free.
Interesting. I think this would need to be FAQ'ed becuase technically you would need to pay the circle penalty for both getting on and off. But I do like that@@2CasualYT
Really like the look and feel of this batrep, though the opening shot of y'all sitting across from each other like it was a regular board game just felt... off some how. Warhammer is for standing. lol

When on vantage points there is no fog and so there is no obscurity.

It's only obscured if u are shooting at the ground level, or shooting from vantage through the gantries, vice versa.
maybe I missed it, but did you use the theyn & kognitaar abilities during the strategic ploy phase?

These so called "jump tests" are just dumb. A negative play experience for both sides whenever a random fail happens.

A good fix would be for them to make it so it costs 1cp to pass the jump if you fail.
