I would love more videos like this for all the Kill Teams. Knowing what are the best choices, the best tactics, how to move them and how to place them. Maybe some more visual representations would make things a bit clearer on certain aspects, especially movements on an actual board.
@@CanYouRollaCrit Well you could begin with the less popular teams, or the ones that tend to be harder or more technical to play with. For example the Tau Pathfinders, Farstalker Kinband and Veteran Guardsmen (or at least, those are the ones I find hard). Before your video I had no idea how to play my Hearthkyn properly.
As an inexperienced player I seem to have chosen a difficult start. Thanks for the in-depth explanation! This will help a lot on how to start and play my games.
great guide ! Every bit of love for the hearthkyn is welcome ! Some of your explanation would have gain from illustration, perhaps photos of a battlefield with example cituation if shematics are too time consuming ?
Always great content, i’ve found the utility grenade is an amazing tool for board control or even mindgames, you might have spent a little more of explaination on that! Apart from that this is an amazing guide…i really hope in a small buff because even if I’ve had decent success with the kin, is always a tight game with them, even if you play them good, a bad roll on a judgement token stacked opponent can make you lose the game easy. Would you buff them a little? And how?
Ah thanks, that's great to hear! Only buffs I'd give em is leader plasma pistol goes to AP2 and Lokatr stops all forward deploys and strategic phase movement.
@@CanYouRollaCrit Oh I'd love the leader to hand out 1APL within 6" upon activation like the kommandos/scouts or making him 3APL base but it's too good to be true. Something a bit more realistic would be making Worth It not depend on wether the squat dies but just a free mission action!
Thanks so much for making this, the Kin are one of my favorite teams! I appreciate the insights and suggestions (some of which I completely had not thought of lol). I do have a question though, what are your thoughts on the auto-calibrator? I take them religiously on my gunners and even my Theyn sometimes but I notice you didn't really mention them - are they worth it?
@@CanYouRollaCrit YUS, They have mentioned Votanns going insane, and the Kyn are all clones. Whats to say the insane corrupted Votann doesnt make insane corrupted clones. WE NEED THE BIG HATS IN 40K
Heyo good timing on the guide! I have a match against my friends void dancers in the near future, and I made a post on the subreddit asking for advice on the matchup. The comments I got didn't really make my chances of winning sound all that good, so I was wondering what's your opinion on the matchup and I would be real glad if you had any specific advice for it.
We need to take Dozr, the leader with Weavefield Crest, and 5-6 plasma knives. keep the leader away so he lives up to 3 TP, Dozra must be 3" inches from the leader. I would definitely take the HYLas auto rifle, and looking at the map I would think of the HYLas rotary cannon. Personally, I don't like the Magna rail rifle you have and so usually there is not enough CP. Play from the defense and stand far away so that they charge only those operatives with knives that you yourself pushed forward. This is a really difficult matchup and it takes a few games to figure out how to play it right, good luck.

It'll take me a while for all the teams but glad you like the guides (:

You almost convinced me to try and play with Hearthkyn but the rules complexity makes me want to play Pathfinders once again instead ;)
Haha fair, although less complex than PF imo

Go the SQUATS!!!
Thanks John 👍🏻
Fantastic episode as always!
Thanks glad you liked it (:

I planned to but it would take too much time sadly 😅
Great video! Would love to see an in-depth play gameplay guide like this for your Hand of the Archon as well.
HotA are on the list (:
Awesome video. Thanks for all of your thoughts on this team!
No worries, thanks for watching (:
Great video! Thanks!
I'm strongly considering getting this box so the video it's greatly appreciated.
Oh nice, hope it helps you pick up the team!
Very helpful for me who just bought this game to start a Spec Ops campaign!
Awesome, that's great to hear!

That utility grenade to slow down operatives provides incredible board control and creates choke points. My local meta hates it.
Very useful overview, thanks! Now I just need to build them...
Thanks! They are fun to build too haha
@@CanYouRollaCrit I enjoy building, detailing and converting, so all good there!
Building Hearthkyn Salvagers at the moment!
Oooh great!
Awesome video! Can we get one for Starstriders too when you played them a lot now :D
Thanks! I plan to but I need to play Striders longer sadly 😅
@@CanYouRollaCrit sooner the better but take your time ofc :D

Kroot maybe. Phobos after I publish my podcast version (:
Rock and Stone indeed

Auto calibrators I take all the time on ITD and when outnumbered

I've already done one as a podcast (:
@@CanYouRollaCrit great (!), where can I find it?
Just google Crit ! Cast (:
Great video it would be great if you add some visual apart from the text
Thanks, what kind of visuals?
Examples of how miniatures look like. Examples of placing units on seasonal terrain.
I didn't even notice that my Jump Pack Warrior could move 7 inches instead of 5
Yeah he's surprisingly fast
Love them, but my god sometimes I just cannot roll higher than a 3. Grudge tokens don’t do shit when you can’t hit anything!
I do wish the hylas cannon wasn't as good as it is - not because I play against them but because I want it for parts!
It's very expensive 😅
Salvagers main here, wondering how your roster has changed with the new balance sheet. Any big updates to the team?
Not really, just minor buffs and lokatr better
@@CanYouRollaCrit Thanks! I take that to mean no big changes to who/what you're bringing to the field, then.
Am I odd for not playing with the jumpack guy at all? I just play them very defensively and do long range shooting.
Yeah, he's kinda your best operative
@@CanYouRollaCrit Meh, guess I am just different, but this is also coming from a guy whose first kill team was Death Guard.

I think it's a doable but very close matchup. Invest in Railgun for MW and volume of fire guns. Just gotta play super defensively

Are you not also a passionate Hand of the Archon Player? I just loose with this team. A guide would be helpful
Eventually!
This is really great content, but a bit confusing as a new player, as I can't tell if something is free, or three...
Ah this guide is out of date sadly 😅
Can you charge/fight with the jetpack boost and +apl? 🤔
no because boost says "perform a free Normal Move..." and you can never normal move+charge
Yup, no boost and charge sadly
@@MsManuales ah right yea, wasn't sure if a charge move was a normal move with extra things
Can utility grenade be used to increase the range of your charge?
Nope
@@CanYouRollaCrit i should have worded that better
i meant the C8 HX Charge
since it is worded as "operative"
Where is the in-depth video?
The video itself¿
