Hey guys!! I realized I forgot to mention in the video the cornstarch should be added along with the all-purpose flour, desiccated coconut and salt for the coconut cookies. Hope there wasn't any confusion!
I agree lol I’ve tried it all and they don’t compare to hers lol also my ginger cookies come out puffy looks like a muffin and I’ve done her steps made them about 8x and they still come out that way 😭
This is such a great video. As a baker myself, I love the instructions and guidance you give! Also I love how aesthetically beautiful and calm the video is!

Great video, tried out your recipe for lemon linzer cookies, ginger, and coffee cookies which tastes good. Made them as goodie bag treats for a party. Had trouble with the lemon linzer dough and it was too crumbly to roll out and fragile to handle. Definitely would try the other cookies once I have more time
Glad you made them! Sorry the Linzer cookies didn't cooperate🙁 It is a little drier than usual but should definitely be able to roll out. Make sure you measure the ingredients by weight for accuracy, if it's still crumbly, you can add a little egg white along with the yolks. Hope this helped!
Recently discovered your channel and fell in love! The aesthetics and content are beautiful! This video has inspired me to try and bake a holiday cookie box for my friends this holiday season. I was wondering if there is an alternative flavor we can use for the matcha cookie recipe for those who don't like matcha? Thanks a lot! Lots of good vibes your way
Thanks for your support and I'm so glad you'll try them! There are actually many crinkle cookie flavours you can make instead. Chocolate is the most common and you can just substitute the matcha with cocoa powder:) You can also replace the matcha with the same amount of flour and add other flavourings like lemon or orange zest, ginger and more! Hope this helped😊
@@JasmaFusionCuisine Thanks a lot ! Switching out matcha with cocoa powder worked out perfectly! I made 4 of these cookies (dint make ginger cookies) and they all turned out great :)
The granulated sugar is used so that the linzer cookies have a bit of a crunch to them. The icing sugar is used in the coffee and coconut cookies so that it has a finer and softer texture. There's a lot of sugar chemistry reasoning behind that so I encourage you to do some more research if you're interested!
Hi Jasma tried the matcha crinkle cookies but sad to say it was dry and not easy to handle. I ended up sprinkling some water to be doable. Calgary, Canada cold and poor humidity. Which ingredients I should double up to make ‘em cookies perfect? Thanks. ❤️
Sorry to hear that! That’s really weird since the matcha cookies are actually supposed to be quite sticky. The environment shouldn’t be able to change the consistency of the dough that drastically. Did you measure the ingredients by weight for accuracy?
Hi Jasma, thanks for ur sharing the recipe. Would like to check with you the ginger cookies, referring to the fancy molasses, may i know the quantity is correct? Cos u stated that 80g ~ to 1/4 tbsp. I think there is typo error there. Can u pls advice what is the actual amount shd be. Thanks
Hi Jasma, I'm not sure if you are still reading comments on older videos... But hopefully... Do you know about how many cookies do all of these 5 doughs yield? Just approximation would be great?
Glad to hear that! I don't really measure them, start with maybe about 1/3 cup of chocolate and 1/2 tsp of oil. And keep adding the coconut oil until it's at a runny consistency.
in the ginger cookies is baking soda or baking powder? cuz at first says soda and when mixing says powder. I;m doing it right now and i dont know what to do!
I really want to try the coconut cookies, but I set not have a piping bag & have never used one before. Is it possible to make them in a more traditional way instead of being piped?
Oh my goodness I didn’t realize! Yes you do. Add it into the flour and dessicated coconut before combining with the butter mixture. So sorry for the confusion😫
I know this is a relatively old video so I'm not sure if you'll see this but I have to ask: I know some cookies/sweets are safe to send via mail due to shelf time (like shortbread cookies or fudge) do these have a long shelf time as well or should they be eaten relatively quickly? Just curious since due to covid its harder to meet people who live farther away for the Holidays 😭 Also I love your videos :D I look forward to trying to make some of your moon cakes soon!
Since these cookies are homemade and don't have any preservatives I can't promise how long they'll last in the mail as the shipping lengths are unpredictable these days. I think they can probably stay fresh at room temperature for under a week (excluding the linzer cookies with jam).
Alright Jas, you cook a lot of sweet things (you are what you eat they say). These cookies are gonna add a few inches to my waist for sure hahah. You should try making one of my personal fave Chinese dishes. 红烧肉 Hong Shao Rou.
My ginger cookie comes out puffy it doesn’t become flat and I’ve followed the instructions! Done it about 8 times already and still 😭😭😭😭😭 HELP ME JASMA
Puffy??🧐The cookies are supposed to puff up a little in the oven but fall as it’s cooking and crinkle a little bit due to that. The only thing I can think of is that you over mixed the dough and so there’s too much air in it. Also make sure you’re not over baking them!
@@JasmaFusionCuisine I wish I would be able to send you the picture of my cookies so you can see 😭 I will try it again and God willing they come out looking like yours. I don’t think I over mix it because once I see that the mixture isn’t wet I stop and put it in a container and I put it in the fridge. 🤷🏼♀️

Thank you! It's a 1" diameter mini ice cream scoop that holds a little more than 1 tbsp.
@@JasmaFusionCuisine Thank you! 😊
Why did you use granulated sugar for the lanzier cookies and powdered for coffee cookies? :O

There's a lot of sugar chemistry reasoning behind that so I encourage you to do some more research if you're interested!
For the coconut cookie recipe could I just remove the desiccated coconut for a traditional butter cookie recipe?
hmmm i think that's fine, make sure you add a little more flour or cornstarch though to maintain the right consistency

How can I make christmas cookies in advance? Do I bake, then freeze and decorate?
You can freeze the piped/scooped/rolled out dough, bake when you're ready then decorate!

You can actually use a ziplock bag and just cut off the tip! There are many tutorials online for how you can make your own piping tips as well😊
can i use espresso powder instead of instant coffee for the coffee cookie?
Sure!
Hi if I am allergic to eggs, can I still use the recipe but omit the egg?
You'd have to use an egg substitute!
how long do the coffee cookies keep after baking?
about a week!
Woah her subs already 58k🤗 ive subbed since only 7k👌
Thank you for sticking around this long!!
Why I baked for 10 minutes, but the inside of matcha cookies still soft, outside cracked?
In the written recipe for the coconut cookie it calls for corn starch however in the video you did not mention it. Do we add it?
